Zidane with Evra as assistant, with the likes of Pogba and Martial would be exciting!
Yeah a rest will do him good. But Lukaku ain’t been the problem. He’s been making runs too. But know one can find him.

Been impressed with Fred today. Good energy willing to get on the ball and always looks forward. Lindelöf been fantastic again.

    That was class by Lukaku!

  2. Pogba WTF!!!! Jeez Smalling.......

  3. We nearly stuffed that up again.... we never learn and don't know why we defend so deep at the end, it was just asking them to score.

Anyway win is a win, make the most of one when it comes lol.

  4. I'm still wondering how Smalling has managed to make 300 appearances for the club!!!

And when we do defend that deep we're so shit at counter attacking or keeping the ball.. Like everyone piss their pants when they get the ball...... If Lukaku scored that header or Martial scored that fucking 1v1 it would've been such a relief

  6. The more I see of bournemouth the more I genuinely want us to consider Eddie Howe next.... it's a risk but who isn't at this stage? Going by how he has bournemouth playing and competing in PL right now, it's really admirable. But obviously his success story goes far beyond just how well he has established them as a genuine PL club who can compete with anyone on their day. He has took this club from League One all the way here and he has shown adaptability. Doesn't look out of his depth one bit every time he steps up against better teams/managers through the divisions.

Also it hasn't been done via pragmatism either, which to me is the most impressive thing. Bournemouth play with a swagger and are genuinely a good team to watch play football.

The other main concern I have is big egos and respect, if things go pear shaped will they go behind his back quickly?

I'm not saying he is definitely the man, but he deserves to be considered, as much as Jardim and others.

  7. The team he is making bit by bit is also damn exiting and that must be huge offer to get him away. The upcoming spine with Ake, Cook and Brooks is huge foundation for the future(A bit younger are Ryan Glover and Corey Jordan) . Wilson is improving with every season, need a bit better at finishing.
They should aim to get better quality in full backs and that team is more serious contender for future.

But would generally agree that Howe would suit you very good even tough i would not like him going to United. Might have some problem with ego managment, but given time can do wonders i assume. Again depends if the board gives anymore time...

  10. I wonder whats Vujacic doing this season. He might be scouting Dani Olmo. I hope he is though. Would be a damn shame if he went to the Liverpool.

Never so much as heard of him V. Let alone seen any links. So you’re good.

Maybe he can be added to Mourinho’s summer shopping list?

There's plenty of talk from his agent, and more importantly, Zdravko Mamic. Word is its a Croatian record fee, around 25m pounds.
Mou can bring whoever he wants if he survives till summer

  15. no lukaku in the squad, injured??

Apparently they are letting him target Romagnoli and Skrinar

Got a knock in training I read.

Also u23s lost 4-1 last night in case anyone interested. Greenwood played again and got an assist. Good to see he’s handling the step up despite only just turning 17.

Those are good targets, especially Skriniar. Romagnoli strikes me more of a 'smart' defender, Rio type of a footballer. Either one (or both?) are good upgrades.

  20. Why the feck is Matic still in this midfield? He looks like a broken lorry at this point, he literally has very little mobility and have no idea what he adds at this point.

Bournemouth could be 3-0 up and I'm not even exaggerating.

This is the type of football we should play at OT, Eddie Howe done wonders with this club.

  21. I don't know why you guys bother watching this team? I stopped ages ago.
Mates message me the scores as they come in but I really couldn't care less any more.

If something doesn't entertain me, I don't give it my time.

He's knackered. And Jose just isn't rotating

Martial is on fire, not that I give any credit to Mourinho whatsoever, this is the guy who wanted him gone in the summer. The one thing the board has actually done well is keep him.

Dont think Mourinho wanted him gone. And there was definitely no reports. Reliable ones anyway saying this. Was just dropped for Sánchez wrongly!! I remember watching a fair few presser claiming the opposite and Mourinho saying he doesn’t want to sell him.

The stories of of him leaving were from his agent to French media. Understandably as he just wanted his player to get more time on the pitch and better terms. Sanchez had form, injuries and Martial fantastic form of late have made him undroppable and gave him all the cards with his new negotiations. Mourinho even told the BBC in his embargoed presser that he is confident and happy that Martial will sign.

On the match. Pretty sure tbh. Least we are still in it. Matic needs to become a squad player now and nothing more! Don’t know if the club are gonna back him in Jan. But sounds like it.

  25. Pereira definitely needs to get games at 6. I don’t know what’s wrong with Matic, but he’s been dung this season. Nice to see Alexis/Martial link up for the goal. Note the Alexis cross came from the right and Martial finished drifting in from the left... imagine thinking they could play on the pitch together

  26. U18s just beat Wolves 1-0 with a Levitt penalty. To go top of the league.

  27. i know i sound like a broken record but slow out of the blocks yet again and its keeps costing us goals.I can only think its a mentality issue but it needs addressing quickly

Did they play twice this AM?

  29. Wins a win chaps, against one of the better teams in the PL outside the top four. Kind of felt we had to win it as well considering our next fixtures.

  30. Good way to win it last min. Take the 3 points and move on.

Sorry I’m out of the country. Still trying to keep up lol. And head still not use to the time difference

  32. Does anybody know why Matic wasn't wearing a poppy? You could see glue on his shirt where one had been but he came out without one on. Can't remember from last year or his Chelsea days if this is something he always does.

  33. Just done a search and it appears this is the first time he's never worn one so not sure whats gone on. Maybe it just fell off before coming out.

He’s worn them before so no idea if he didn’t want one or if it was just glued on poorly or something like that

  35. Matic is Serbian, they lost more people in WW1 than any other country. Some estimates reach 60% (yes, SIXTY) of the entire male population. I'm sure it just fell off or something.

Percentage of population, not number of casualties. Many other nations had more casualties.

Probably just fell off before the match.

  39. Refused to wear one, or it fell off... does it matter?

  40. Just asking a question ffs

  41. Just caught some highlights of today’s match. To me looks like Herrera made a big difference in the second half. Wouldn’t mind him at 6 from now on. Also seen Mourinho very complimentary of him after the game.

  42. Thought Fred was good yesterday. Not standout but good all round performance. Won more tackles and made more interceptions than anyone and had second most attempts on forward passes than anyone

  43. Just seen Utd women are 2-0 up after 10 mins against second place Spurs who are a point behind. Lauren James and Sigsworth with the goals.

Sigsworth makes it 3-0 before HT

finished 4-1 in a totally dominant performance. Still unbeaten.

Remembrance poppy is an anti-war symbol, mate. It was originally born to commemorate the poor souls who were conscripted against their will and forced to run like headless chickens around the fields of Verdun straight into machine gun fire.

Although I agree that pressuring people to wear political symbols is just silly. If he doesn't want to wear it that's his business.

  47. I just think there's irony attached being forced to wear a poppy to remember people who were forced to go to war. Not the place for this type of chat, but I'm a believer in freedom of choice

Onto the more important things. Its unbelivable how United only starts to play football when they're losing. Its like they need to start every game with bloody handicap. Club really lack serious leader.

Relax V. I think we'll all agreeing with you. Wear it, wear it but upside down, don't wear it at all, that's your decision to make.

True, look at the kerfuffle over McClean at the Boro game. Valid reasons for not wearing one, and the club have taken the common sense stance.
