  1. Mixing it with the big boys with ... Bristol City!?

First of all, this is the 1st story I have done so any feedback/suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

I have chosen to use my team Bristol City.
    Short Term Ambitions:
    • Stay well clear from relegation.
    • Push for the play-offs.
    Long Term Ambitions:
    • Achieve promotion.
    • Stay in Premier League.
    The Dream:
    • Become an established Premier League team.
    • Bring European football to Ashton Gate.
    • Win the Premier League!
    And so we begin...
    July
    Pre-Season Friendlies
Bristol City 4-1 Bristol City Reserves
    Bristol City 3-0 Hearts
    Woking 0-3 Bristol City
    Rotherham United 0-0 Bristol City
    Bristol City 2-0 Arsenal Reserves
Forest Green Rovers 0-3 Bristol City
    Eastbourne Borough 0-2 Bristol City

Verdict: Good pre-season, hopefully can carry that form into the league season!

    Transfers
    In
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Loan from Arsenal
Toni Silva - Loan from Liverpool
Nouha Dicko - Loan from Wigan

    Out
Bobby Reid - Loan to Forest Green Rovers
James Wilson - Loan to Bristol Rovers
David Clarkson - £250 to Peterborough United.
    August
    6.8.11 Championship
Ipswich Town 3-2 Bristol City (Stead, Kilkenny)

Verdict: Disappointing start, particular conceding 3 goals.

    10.8.11 League Cup 1st Round
Bristol City 4-0 Yeovil Town (Max Ehmer O.G, Carey, Jonathan Obika O.G, Fontaine)

Verdict: Good result, 2 fortunate own goals & 2 goals from corners.

    13.8.11 Championship (TV)
Bristol City 1-4 Cardiff City (Stead)

Verdict: Dreadful result against Severnside rivals and in front of the Sky cameras leaves us bottom of the league.

    16.8.11 Championship
    Middlesbrough 0-1 Bristol City (Maynard)

Verdict: Good result. First points on the board.

    20.8.11 Championship

Verdict: Classic away performance, 86th minute winner.

    27.8.11 Championship
Doncaster Rovers 2-1 Bristol City (Elliott)

Verdict: Poor result. Shame the 25-yard strike from Marvin Elliott was in vain.

    September
    10.9.11 Championship
Bristol City 3-2 Birmingham City (Elliott, Stead, Curtis Davies O.G)

Verdict: Perhaps lucky to get the victory, but important 3 points nonetheless.

    17.9.11 Championship
Southampton 4-5 Bristol City (Stead 3, Maynard, Elliott)

Verdict: Crazy game, happy to get 3 points. 5 goals away from home is very pleasing. Elliott scored in 3 consecutive game from midfield.

    21.9.11 League Cup 3rd Round
Bristol City 1-3 Sunderland (Michael Turner O.G)

Verdict: Good effort against a Premier League side, had hoped we could cause an upset though.

    24.9.11 Championship
Bristol City 1-0 Coventry City (Stead)

Verdict: Comfortable victory, should have scored more.

    27.9.11 Championship

Verdict: Poor performance, deserved to lose. Without a win in 4 games now.

    Bristol City 0-4 Leicester City

    Verdict: Shocking performance. So inconsistent.

    3.12.11 Championship

Verdict: Tough draw, but we put in a spirited performance.

Bristol City 3-1 Middlesbrough (Maynard, Carey, Elliott)

Verdict: Satisfying win to complete a double over them.

    21.1.12 Championship
Burnley 4-2 Bristol City (Stead, Pitman)

Verdict: Had enough chances to get something from the game, 4th goal was a killer though in 76th minute.

Bristol City 2-0 Doncaster Rovers (Stead, Stewart)

Verdict: Comfortable win to end month in 12th.

  6. February
    4.2.12 Championship
    Birmingham City 2-0 Bristol City

Verdict: Epitomises our inconsistency. Fontaine collected our 1st red card of the season late on.

Verdict: 9 goals in 2 games against Southampton. Can we play you every week?

Coventry City 0-2 Bristol City (Carey 2)

Verdict: A set piece double will do very nicely on Valentine's Day ... LOVE it.

    18.2.12 Championship
West Ham United 2-0 Bristol City

Verdict: Their strikers took their chances, ours didn't.

    25.2.12 Championship

Verdict: 3 games without scoring, not happy.

    6.3.12 Championship
    Blackpool 1-1 Bristol City (Rhodes)

Verdict: Fairly pleased with that result. Rhodes coming off of the bench and scoring his 1st goal for the club was a big plus.

    10.3.12 Championship
Bristol City 3-2 Watford (Pitman 2, Carey)

Verdict: Good to back to winning ways with a repeat scoreline of the reverse fixture.

    17.3.12 Championship
Nottingham Forest 4-3 Bristol City (Pitman, Rhodes, Stewart)

Verdict: Gutted to concede in stoppage time. Felt we deserved at least a point.

Verdict: Very bad performance, we won't dwell on that too long.

    31.3.12 Championship
    Bristol City 1-3 Barnsley (Bolasie)
Verdict: No justice! Shots: BC 19 Barnsley 5, On Target: BC 11, Barnsley 3, Possession: BC 61% Barnsley 39%!

Verdict: Too little too late with the 89th minute consolation goal.

Verdict: Very unhappy with that performance.

Verdict: Comfortable win. Maynard back from injury with a goal.

Leeds United 1-3 Bristol City (Rhodes)

Verdict: Wonderful way to end season, 3 wins in a row, a double over Leeds, with Rhodes getting a hat-trick to make it 9 in 5. Hopefully a sign of things to come next season.
