  1. Psycho's UK 2050 and Beyond Save-game Project

    Psycho's FM13 British 2050 and beyond Save-game Project

For those unaware there's a brilliant thread On SI Games forum by roversawh7 which looks at how far in the future you can get in a save game with the big 6 European Nations and takes a look at the leagues and competitions every 100 years. Link here FM13 Holiday Project 2: Top 6 European Countries

So hows mine going to be different you ask, well for a start I'm just going to be focusing on England,Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland Leagues (all lowest leagues loaded) and the major continental and International Competitions. And I'm going to be uploading screen shots every 25 years (game years) apart from the first which starts as the title says in 2050.

    I'm also adding a...

Young Player Watch where at the start of the save files I'll be picking out a player 18 or under to see how they did during the 25 years.
Best Player Watch at the start of the save
Best Player Focus at the end of the Save
    Transfer Focus
Hall of Fame and Manager Focus
Club Focus – Just before I upload screen shots from a save I'll post a message asking for 3 Clubs from any of the nations loaded, The first 3 responses will be chosen (only 1 team from 1 member)

Here we go then, shortly I'll be uploading Screen-shots from the 2013 season, Hall of Fame, Young Player and Best Player Watch.

Save Games will be available to download though not straight away, the 2050 save game will be uploaded once I get to 2250, this is to stop anyone getting ahead of me and posting screen-shots of future seasons before I get the chance.

To see screen-shots of of a club you would like to see in the 2050 save then post your selection now, remember only 1 choice per member (more than 1 will invalidate your selection)

    Yes you can

Going to be uploading screen-shots from the 2050 save game this afternoon, theres still time for 2 other members to choose a team.

Made one mistake on the players watch for the 2050 save game, I forgot to choose to keep the histories after retirement but I have been able to back track through the teams they played for to give you a brief view on how they fared.

Since 2013 Derby County have had 23 managers which means an average off a 18 month tenure per manager, patience it seems is not a trait any of the 4 chairmen which the club have had. The latest Manager Gary Mitchell is the only manager to have tasted some sort of success with getting the team promoted back into the Npower Championship in 2049 after a 7 year absence.

Derby fans must surely be hoping the club can stabilize their position in the championship and hopefully in the future push for promotion to the Premiership, only time will tell.

Celtic have gone on to win 25 Premier titles, 16 Scottish Cups and 9 League Cups since 2013. The two most successful managers of this era have been Neil Lennon and Jordan Kidd with a further 17 managers winning only a handful of titles each, their only boast of success in Europe in this era is a Quarter Final appearance in the Europa League back in 2047.

Surprisingly no manager has been sacked from Celtic in this time with all managers leaving of their on accord.

Surely the Celtic Fans must be hoping for European glory once again since not tasting it since 1967.

Tottenham have stepped up a gear since 2013 winning 3 Premier titles, finishing 2nd twice, 1 FA Cup and twice runners up, 6 Capitol 1 cups and runners up three times, 5 Europa Leagues and what most be undoubtedly their most proud moment winning the European Champions League in 2047.

The Fans however must be extremely disappointed at the sale of the goalscoring machine Phil Laird to Man City for a measly 18.25 million in 2049.

Back soon with some awards and history records to finish off the 2050 marker.

Do you like the style this is being done ?
Is there anything you would like removed or added to make it better ?

    Roberto Mancini

Despite only winning domestic titles Roberto remained at Man City for 19 years before retiring in 2029, in which many believe was the right time as his frustration at not winning a European Champions League title and forever being reminded at the success Utd had before and after Sir Alex Ferguson could be clearly seen with his constant spates with his players and staff not only behind closed doors but on the pitch
as well, with the most notable occurrence being when he ran on the pitch and slapped his main strike around the face for missing a sitter in the 2021 FA Cup Final which he served a 8 match sideline ban for.

No manager has ever stayed longer enough at Celtic to be sacked or indeed to bring stability for a successful campaign in Europe and one manager that they should have tried to keep is Neil Lennon a modern day Scottish legend with 6 premier titles and
6 FA Cups in his 7 year stint, he also had success at Arsenal (2 Premier titles) and Real Madrid (4 la Liga Titles and 4 Spanish Cups)

Got to say I'm quite surprised it's still pretty much contested by the top 4 63 years on, On holiday saves I've done on custom databases you usually see a team like Southampton come up the tables and become a dominating force.

Either at the end of this save-game (2075) or the next I'm going to do a special feature where I look at Club finances and transfer activity through the years. One thing I noticed in the first save-game is that for about 20 years the clubs rarely upgraded their stadiums or moved and now in this save-game quite a few have new stadiums.

England won the French Youth Invitational Cup a consecutive 7 times between 2062 and 2068 and have enjoyed some success in the U20 World Cup winning 7 times since 2013.

The question has to be with the success of the England Youth teams is the expectations of the senior team to much pressure or is it a case of not enough first team matches at club level hindering their progress.

Fortunately for Oliver he made a better manager than player
, starting his management career at Lyon he hit the ground running, winning the Euro Cup.

In 2036 he moved to England which saw him manage Liverpool and winning Liverpools 2nd Premier Title and adding another European Champions League Title to their trophy cabinet saw him appointed England manager in 2038 where he stayed for 4 years with only a 3rd place in the confederations cup to show.

Leaving his post at England of his own accord (the media were reporting he was about to be sacked) he took over at FC Porto where he won the domestic Treble in 2043.

Joining Arsenal late in March 2044 saw him lift the Premier title though really it was down to Micah Richards good early run that won it (from late January Arsenal only had 6 wins, 7 draws and 2 loses in the Premiership). oliver was sacked in November 2044 having a mediocre run in the new campaign.

Between 2044 and 2050 he had spells at Cardiff, Blackburn and Sporting(POR) before moving back to France to re-join Lyon where in 2051 he won the Coupe da la Ligue.

In 2053 he joined PSG and in a 8 year reign saw him pick up multiple trophies including the European Champions League in 2058.

Starting his management career in 2038 at Brentford, and has had successful spells and not so successful spells at Rangers, Huddersfield Town, Tottenham, Arsenal and Nottingham forest but his real success came in the three spells he had at Liverpool.

Between 2046-2051 he won 2 Europa Leagues and a English FA Cup but his poor runs in the Premiership cost him his job and he was sacked midway through the 2050/51 season.

Returning to Liverpool in 2055 after being sacked by Nottingham forest he was only able to reach the Final of the Fa Cup in 2056 (they lost) and finish 3rd in the Premiership in 2057 and midway through the 2057/58 season he was sacked.

Incredibly he took charge for a third time in May 2060 in which in a 9 year spell saw him win 4 Premiership titles, 3 FA Cups, 1 Capitol Cup, 3 European Champions Leagues, and 2 Club World Championships.

Retiring in 2069, his most famous quote was "Football management is like a game of Russian Roullette, every new season is like squeezing the trigger you never know whether this one is going to be the end"

Abdelhak, and Corry can both be considered World Class managers with multiple trophies in their domestic divisions and in Europe and with still a few years remaining of his career surely Abdelhak will add to his tally and move up the Hall of Fame rankings.

Willie Mahey with his 16 Scottish Premier wins and 14 Scottish FA cup wins with Celtic makes him an all time Celtic legend.

Aaron Deasy makes it to the top of the Ireland Hall of Fame table with his success with Cork City and Shamrock Rovers.
