Faster way to rest players?

  1. Faster way to rest players?

So. I have a problem. After winning the promotion play off to get into German D1, everyone got sent off on holiday. I schedule a friendly for about a week after their return, and when the game comes up, EVERYONE is EXHAUSTED (apparently, the Germans did nothing but drink) I play through that game, set the training to fitness on average, and wait the two weeks til the next game, and they're ALL still below 70% condition. I set my training level to very low, I'm now a week away from my next friendly, and the majority of the team is still not in the conditioning to play the next game. (I've got 5 sr squad players over 80%) So really, i think i need to give everyone the whole week off on rest, but to do so by going through training would take forever, is there an easier way to rest the whole squad?

  2. It's typical. Don't worry about it. It's cuz they're still lazy from their holidays.

  3. I may be missing something here but...
Calender > Right click today's date (in game date) > Rest all players 1/2/3/5/7 days iirc.

Im a hard task master 'and I could be doing it wrong' but I always slap my players on heavy pre-season fitness regimes.
Work the sas out of them.

  4. Well, my concern is that with the league starting in just over a month, they're going to be too tired to even play!

  5. Maybe giving them light training on ore-season is your problem. Pre-season is meant to be hard work. You train them hard to build up their fitness levels.

After the season kicks off you ease back a bit, as you are just looking to maintain their fitness levels rather than trying to build a base.

I could understand that if they were coming back out of match fitness, but the fact that they can't play a half of football because of it doesn't seem correct to me. it's not a matter of them being match fit, it's a matter of them just not having any energy to use. I guess i'll see what happens when i hit the end of this rest period and go into the next friendly, if it's still an issue i'll go back to the last save and work their tails off.

No they want. Schedule friendlies every 4/5 days and general train fitness for two weeks or three on very high and they ll be ok

  8. I also start pre-season two weeks earlier (six weeks before season proper (I don't know if your always given the option to set a pre-season start date)) just spend that initial two extra weeks working on fitness levels & cohesion.

  9. it didnt let me choose anything sooner than what it had listed, i think the default was 6 or maybe 8
