My 3rd Story with the Dandy Dons
Can we finally win the big one?



Background
I've been a Aberdeen fan all my life, 2nd favourite team behind Man Utd. First team i saw playing live in person back in 1999, our worst season ever in the league although through the hard times i did learn a valuable lesson





Me + Aberdeen = FM heartbreak

1st try FM2009
Broke became 3rd force with a good squad in 3rd season before giving up

2nd try FM2010
7 seasons, 4 SPL titles Europe - CL QF lost to Barcelona 2-0 on agg and a Uefa Cup
Aberdeen = Scotlands new force in 16 team SPL



So onto this story!

In every edition of FM i try and do a Aberdeen save and ever year i feel it gets harder but having not done one with FM2012 i feel its only right i jump right in here for FM2013 so will be learning the game as i go having only spent a season with Spurs so far tactic testing.



Manager's Ambitions
My dream is to win the Champions Leauge with Aberdeen thats target NO1!. Yeah so that may take a while so to start with i'd take European place and the chance to test out my squad and try some bargain youths from around the world. SPL title by 2015 would be nice but as its my first save in the game anything can happen!


Shall get the game underway tomorrow hope you all enjoy and i hope i can bring much needed success from this ever failing team.

This was chairman Stewart Milne's response to the media backlash at the news of ex Scotland boss Craig Browns departure from the team right at the beginning of the new season. Aberdeen had invested enough time and money into his failed tenure and fresh youthful approach of Donald was enough to convince the fans that all is not lost!

Press - Where do you see Aberdeen going this season

"Aberdeens main target for the season is to return to European football and significantly improve on three bottom half finishes in a row" Donald is determined to reward the clubs patient fans with some silverware but warns "Rome was not built in one day however i was not on that particular job" - Thanks Mr Clough

Would highly recommend Richard Brittain, the Ross county captain. Banged in 15 goals and 23 assists for Rangers in my first season in Div 3

We'll start with the bad news. The transfer window was a utter disaster. Couldn't get any players of the quality i wanted in for full transfer or loan! At least there's most of August to try and get some more players in. Overall im happy with the depth, despite a lot of that being youth players so im only buying quality

Only signing was midfielder Jay Fulton from Falkirk. Still waiting and hoping several free players drop there price soon

Again nothing major. Back up players Paton, Magennis and Low all say goodbye with the worst of the youth team

Tactics for anyone familure with my 2012 storys is almost identical. Made the midfielders a bit more defensive than before with this game seemingly a bit more leaky. Tried a few other formations but this seems to be the one for me
