Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

  1. Do you change anything against big teams on their stadium?

Best of luck, my advice is to have a good search for players that will fit the tactic better, not sure if FC United have strong players for the conference north and onwards.

No I never change anything. Only ever personnel, so I would make sure i have my more defence minded players on the pitch. Who are you playing as?

  11. I like the look of this but my CMs I currently have are amazing, but may not be suited to be CDMs, one of them is the best CM in the game currently..... dunno whether to change

Wow that's crazy haha. Plenty to test this tactic on then!

This San Marino is my 4th serious save. First was QPR, second Cambridge United, third started sunday league unemployed and worked my way up (Croydon FC, Basingstoke, Millwall) but that game file corrupted.

  16. Right, I have updated the OP with Player Filters, added a bit more on my progress and Users progress. Is there anything you think I have missed?

Who are your CMs and are they able to be trained to become DMs? If they can, then they will be just as awesome in DM.

Added and I agree with Kitchin, great achievements with Wigan first season, you've got the micro-management down to a tee it seems!

  27. I'm going to the final third part of the season. Will post here at the end the results.

But I've to post this here. In the first game We've lost 3-0 in Belgium after a terrible sequence of many followed games (Saturday Chelsea at home), Tuesday (Swansea in repetition game for the cup) and Thursday at Belgium. Then, at home, this happened:

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs-liverpool_brugge.png

I know it's with a "minor" team but it was a pleasure see the boys playing. Tweaked after being 0-0 at half-time and then it was a total massacre. Team-talks also helped though. Amazing footie played. The great European nights are back to Anfield! Yeaahh
It's been a great season, with so much enjoyment. Totally recommend this tactic even that I haven't won nothing yet lol.

  28. Added Lee Wallace, Viktor Fischer and Danny Simpson in Jan.

Did you use the tactic from the beginning of the season?

    Good signings, particularly Fischer!

    Think it could work

  33. The effectiveness of this tactic - it really is frightening.

  34. Nope mate, I haven't. Started with another one (3 cb's) and just changed to this in October.

That's why I have Didac at LB lol. He was the better option at loan "market"

  35. Nice regens! The first one is a natural DM so that's not a problem. Platt have amazing stats for the role, but will probably take a while to learn the position (maybe a season).

But I've played CMs in DM before who were far inferior to Platt and they were able to perform. I reckon he'll still be class there.

Cheers, who are you using it with?

  37. Platt is brilliant, but gets all his assists from corners Even though his stats are unreal!

If I had trained the first guy from an early age for the position he could have been awesome, but been training him as a ball winning mid

Have you managed to get it to full fluidity? I'm looking forward to your results!

The two of them are the perfect pairing for the DM's its just a question of training Platt to play there.

  40. will try this with a team in FC uniteds league....... 1860 game I became the best team in munich which is what I wanted 2 title wins in a row and a champs league win against bayern with modern warfare!

    BUT

This looks even better so want to give it a go!

  41. Yes mate. I'm at the end of February, going to the decisive part of the season. Ok, I'll put some screenies here with results and some amazing games

This is how league stands atm. It can go to anywhere. Hope it's for "home"...

The fixtures since I use this tactic. Some disappointing draws, specially those at home. Some lack of concentration from my defenders..

Some great games. Two GREAT victories and the only defeat in the league. Totally battered City, but an early set-piece makes the difference that day.

So, this how things are atm. Let's hope the lads continue this to the end of season..

  42. Looking good, so far 20 wins 6 draws and 2 losses with the tactic, and it was plugged mid-season so I guess its only just getting fluid. Best of luck and you can still win the league for sure!

Wolves - I was the Solbakken admirer from earlier on in the thread. Don't want to jinx it yet (only in November) but early signs are that I am going to walk it! Didn't expect it to be honest what with the players I have and the fact the Championship is all a bit of a mixed bag. Kevin Doyle is absolutely cracking in the deeper forward role and Sako seems to just be simply living the dream at left wing and as for Tongo Doumbia in at DM - he must surely have an average rating of at least 7.80. Will be interesting to see what and how Jamie O'Hara performs when he comes back from injury.

I will provide screenshots at a more convenient time!

Ah yes I remember now. This is looking very promising! Best of luck.

I will play against Madrid with Barca. I have several injured players and Madrid plays 4-2-4 with Ronaldo, Hulk, Neymar and Benzema. Their attacking players pressurize my defensive players and make scores with the balls they have stolen.

  47. A very good tactic, currently using southampton and 3rd of the table now with 24games played, 46 points tie with mancity and chelsea. I never used any OI, most important is team talks. Only signed V.Wayanama to strengthen my DM roles. will update again later.

And now my second seasons transfers. I think first season squad isn't good for this tactic but now I think my squad is very strong
