How could you be sacked so easily after winning 3 Champions Leagues?

What a pity. This story made me feel like a real power club of Europe again. Envisioning the Champions League nights etc.

My League form was terrible. 15 games in and I'd only won like 5 games. Not sure what happened but the team just wouldn't blend on the pitch anymore. I'll be back with a Liverpool save next year with FM 15. Should be good fun considering all the new signings.

I want to try to revive this story since it was the most fun I've had playing
FM this iteration. There is a catch though, The last save file I had before
getting sacked was in December of 2016 so I'm 6-8 months behind the story
. . . . .and one Champions League Title less.

15 games in and we are 6th in the table; a healthy goal difference
and only 7pts separating myself form league leaders Chelsea.

A tough fixture to negotiate my way through in Europe but having won back to back
Champions League titles, the pundits quickly learned that I'm a coach that revels in the
    big occasions.

Due to early season injuries to Suarez and Countinho, Rob Noakes was asked to
    lead the Liverpool line. Having signed at 16 years of age from Norwich, the striker;
touted as the next Michael Owen, certainly lived up to his hype, leading the clubs
scoring charts with 14 goals in 19 games. A return any European striker would be
    proud of.

Yet to reach his peak, this young English striker was the world at his feet. If he keeps
his head down, works hard to continues to put in these sorts of performance, there
is no reason why he couldn't go on to be one of England's, if not the world's, best players.

Former Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is in advanced talks with Scottish club
Rangers F.C. If this takeover is complete, it will signal a massive U-turn in the clubs
fortune who narrowly avoided a winding up order resulting in relegation to the base of
    the Scottish football League system.

Rangers are the current Scottish Premier Division Champions
and this takeover could be the beginning of a golden age for the club with the huge
investment Perez is sure to bring to the club,

Almanza looks to be an exceptional player. £12M is a lot of money for a teenage but with attributes like that, I think he could be a world class talent in a few years., I'm going to give him 2 years in the U21's to develope
his game before partnering him up front with Noakes.

A deadline day singing saw me get long term target Lelé. For a measly £5M, this is a player
who could dominate midfield in future seasons as my ageing midfielder move on. He's a CB
by trade but I'll be retraining him to play CM as a Deep Lying Play maker and focusing on
    improving his Creativity.

14 games unbeaten and the run doesn't look like coming to
an end any time soon. My new Tactical set-up seems to be
holding strong defensivly while scoring plenty of goals.

Big home win against Real Madrid while we extended our
stay in the FA Cup with a 2-1 win against United. A draw agasint
City was a decent result; avoiding the loss was critical.

Nice to see we're leading the table =P

Btw, Karl Casey, I think you'd be better off playing him as a fullback itself.. Unless he undergoes some really crazy development, I doubt he'd be very successful as an IF - Low finishing, crossing, technique and first touch..

Aye, I'm going to give him a few years to see where his natural development takes him but if he dosn't develop into a creative player, I'll keep him at LB

  32. So happy this is back!

  33. Hello Brendn,

Is it possible to see the development from the "real" Liverpool youngster like Rossiter, Ibe, Sterling, Sinclair, Chirivella,..

    Awesome story & thanks!

  34. I know this might be a long shot as you seem to have stopped 3 weeks ago. But love your story, read it all in one day. I now understand why Brandon Rodgers hired Balotelli if his squad is that bad with penalties! But well done in the Champions League, you truly have a special relationship with that cup.

What about Fraser Forster poor dude, after a terrific first season benched by Ter Stagen, poor lad. And Akinfeev, I thought you lost him and one point and boom appeared out of nowhere against Juventus.

Overall great story, hope you will do the same for FM15 (maybe this time with Balotelli in your squad, you will not see so many penalties missed)
