Foxes Revolution!

  1. Foxes Revolution!

This story will follow the progress of me, Adam Moore, as I aim to turn Leicester City into a new club giant and turn them into one of the best clubs in the world. Obviously this will be a long running story so unless some unfortunate disaster occurs and the story has to end (corrupt save etc.) I hope you stick around! Its going to be a long one!

    PEARSON OUT!

    Foxes Revolution!-download.jpg

After nearly 3 years at the helm and being unable to fulfil the owners dream of getting to the promised land of the Premier League, Nigel Pearson has been removed from his managerial position, with the owners aiming to bring in fresh new blood to start a brand new revolution at the club.

Speaking to us, club Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha had this
to say "We are sorry we had to end our time with Nigel, but we felt it was time to bring in someone new to the club, with fresh ideas and the ambition required to bring the club to the Premier League. We hope to announce our new man in charge by the start of next week to give them ample time to get into the swing of things and prepared for the new season."

As we will keep up to date with this story we have also decided to look into possible candidates for the empty seat at the King Power Stadium.

    CANDIDATES

    Foxes Revolution!-mackay.jpg

    Malky Mackay

    Age: 41

Recently sacked by "Enthusiastic" Owner Vincent Tan, Malky Mackay is regarded as a great young manager after guiding Cardiff City to the Premier League he has the experience and fresh ideas Leicester require and would surely be a great manager to have at the helm.

    Foxes Revolution!-images.jpg

    Chris Powell

    Age: 44

Chris Powell, current manager of Charlton Athletic, finished his career at Leicester City and was a coach at the club for a year, before moving the Charlton, who were then in League One and guided the club back to the Championship as champions. Then in his first full season with Charlton he managed to turn them into a respectable team in the league as they finished 9th, just 3 points off a play off place. This shows he is a manager to watch for the future and maybe going to a club such as Leicester with the resources they have and the fresh ideas he would bring would be good for the both of them.

UNKNOWN MAN TAKES CHARGE OF LEICESTER CITY

    Foxes Revolution!-download-2-.jpg

Leicester City have announced that relatively unknown 25 year old, Adam Moore, has taken the helm at the club, signing a 1 year deal showing that if he does not impress, he will not be staying on.

    Foxes Revolution!-untitled.png

Of course it was expected that the fans would not happy about the appointment of such an inexperienced manager, and will definitely be on his back right from the start, he will definitely need to show that he can do well quickly to get in there good books.

This is a very interesting appointment for the club as this is Moore's first role in professional management and the only other experience he has is as a Sunday League football manager where he did achieve success with back to back promotions as player/manager. But this is a completely different level and will have to prove to the club it was he was wise appointment.

We managed to get a quick word with the new man before he rushed off to his first day in charge, "I know people think this may be a very risky appointment, but I am confident in my knowledge and abilities and will be able to get the owners to where they wish to be, the Premier League this season!"

  3. good luck

  4. Do my team proud mate! Will be keeping an eye ;-)

  5. DAY ONE

    History

On my first day at the club I decided it would be good to have a look at the brief history of the club I hope to get into the Premier League and to turn into a new force in the footballing world.

    Foxes Revolution!-lol.png

As you can see they are a club with a little history, but with their resources and ambition they deserve to have a lot more, which I aim to bring to the club.

    The Squad

Also it would be best for me to look at the squad straight away, so I can get into the nitty gritty of the transfer market and acquire the players I believe will help strengthen our team and get us promoted!

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-20_00003.jpg
After my first look over the squad, it is quite easy to see the position which need to strengthening, and the main focus of my acquisitions are going to be young players with potential.

Starting at the back, we could definitely do with someone who will be good back up to Schmeichel, but who could also have potential to take the spot over himself in a few years time, we shall just have to see who is available to us at the moment.

In defence, we are quite lucky that a lot the players we have are quite versatile and can play in most positions across the back, we could maybe bring in one or two full backs that have potential, but other than that I am very happy with the defensive set up we have here.

Our midfield is also very good as we have some good young players such as James and King who are able to perform for us now, but also have potential to grow as well. The only position that really needs attention is maybe a right midfielder as Paul Gallagher is ageing.

Finally, up at the top we have a good set up with the likes of Nugent, Wood and Schlupp being more than capable of providing us with the fire power we need.

    Pre Season

    Foxes Revolution!-fix.png

Looking at the friendlies we have organised, I believe that we should be winning all of these comfortably, with only SC Heerenveen being the only team that could possibly cause us some problems.

    Conclusion

Now all of that is over... it is time to get down to business and start winning games and signing players!

See you at the end of pre season unless there is big news!

    Most definitely!

  10. End of Pre-Season & New Season

    Pre-Season

    Foxes Revolution!-loll.png

Well, I can easily say that I am very pleased with how pre-season went, we dominated every game we played, and although we may not have won them by large margins, if we could have done slightly better with our finishing the amount we would have scored would have been a lot higher, but still, we won all the games I knew we would and everyone plated well so very pleased.

    New Season

    Foxes Revolution!-fix.png

Looking at the fixture list for my fiirst month in charge during the 13/14 season, I can say that I am feeling very optimistic. I believe that with the strength of our squad we can win all of these fixtures, but of course the rival game against Derby County will be a tough one so will be interesting to see how that ends up.

See you at the end of August for an update of our first month in the league and cups and also all the information regarding transfers, there has been a few!

  11. Good luck, we've got a good squad on paper. Will be interesting to see how you fare when you get to the Prem!

  12. good luck should get out of championship no prob

Yeah we have indeed! Managed to bring in some good players to make it even stronger as well! Some that could do well in the prem as well!

  14. August & Transfers

    August

    Foxes Revolution!-oosfdin.png

    -----------------------------------

    Middlesborough 1 - 2 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Kei Kamara (26) Chris Wood (Pen 12)
    - Liam Moore (90+1)

    MOTM: Franco Zuculini (Leicester City)

This was a very even game as we both had similar shots, corners, and possession and really should have been a draw, but some subs in the last minute won it for us to get us the corner and for a lucky drop to land to Moore to drill in for a last minute win! Great start to the season!

    -----------------------------------

    Accrington Stanley 0 - 3 Leicester City
    Capital One Cup 1st Round

    - Emile Heskey (40)
    - Michael Richardson OG (44)
    - Marcus Bettinelli OG (55)

    MOTM: Zak Whitbread (Leicester City)

Obviously a game which we were always going to dominate and we did as we restricted them to just 1 shot and 34% possession, slightly disappointed we didn't score more than 1 goal ourselves, but still, goals are goals! Through to the next round where we will be at home to a relatively local side Notts County! Should be a win!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 1 Leeds United
    Sky Bet Championship

Andy King (36) Noel Hunt (24)
    - Rodolph Austin (90+3)

    MOTM: Andy King (Leicester City)

Another very even game which we weren't able to steal at the end, even though we did have a free kick and chance right at the end as a result of Austin's Red Card but we were not able to capitalise, still pleased with the performance though.

    -----------------------------------

    Derby County 0 - 2 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - Zak Whitbread (27)
    - Anthony Knockaert (81)

    MOTM: Anthony Knockaert (Leicester City)

YES!!!!! Great win over our rivals! Dominated them from start to finish and could have even more goals! Game was rounded off by a 30 yard belter by the French Magician Knockaert who tore the Derby defence a new one! What was even better was that after this game we were top and they better bottom! Makes it all the better!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 0 Birmingham City
    Sky Bet Championship

    Chris Wood (39) -
    Jeffrey Schlupp (90+2) -

    MOTM: Wes Morgan (Leicester City)

Yet another good win against a decent side! Absolutely dominated them again as we had 63% possession and 17 Shots on target so it could have been an even bigger win, but still, a very good win to add to our great start!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 0 Notts County
    Capital One Cup 2nd Round

Emile Heskey (15) David Bell (89)
    Jeffrey Schlupp (23) -
    Wes Morgan (Pen 25) -
    Paul Konchesky (Pen 47) -

    MOTM: Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City)

Another dominant display from our squad, very easy win for us and the only shot they had they scored so we were all over them. Quite surprised when I had defenders taking penalties for me though! We will be playing Liverpool at home in the 3rd round! Big game!

    -----------------------------------

    Charlton Athletic 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - David Bentley (28)

    MOTM: Andy King (Leicester City)

Was a very close game as everything was even, 13-12 shots and 48-52% possession. So most likely should have been a draw but still glad we managed to grind out the win! Great end to my first month in charge and the revolution is well and truly underway!

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-21_00001.jpg

Well, easy to say we are off to a great start as we end the month top of the table! It may only be by goal difference but still, we are top and we will be hoping to stay here for the rest of the season!

    Best Player of August

    Foxes Revolution!-best.png

    Anthony Knockaert

Anthony Knockaert has shown why he is one our key players and why I was right to reject the offers we received for him, 1 goal and 3 assists in 4 appearances this month, easily explains why he has the highest average rating of all the players in the Championship so far this season.

Oh yeah and I also won the manager of the month and Stones won young player of the month! WOO!

6 great signings over the summer, all of whom I believe were the exact players we required to give us the strength we need to get this club back to the premier league!

At the back we signed Keita on a free, he looks like he will be a great back up to Kasper but also looks like he has some potential as well, so could well be our future 1st choice if we give him the experience he needs.

In defence we signed young evertonian John Stones on loan, beating the likes of Nottingham Forest and QPR to his signature until the end of the season. He is a great young player and has already been able to make the right back position his own, and you never know, if he performs well this season we may even look into getting him permanently if possible.

Now, in the middle of the park I believed we did not need any new central midfielders, but after selling Danns I believed we could do with bringing someone in, which is why I was very happy when I came across the gem that is Zuculini on a free. A very talented Argentinian who is starting to form a great partnership with Drinkwater and King in the middle. He is definitely someone we will be keeping on if we go up.

Now we definitely needed some new wingers bringing in so I was happy to bring in Bentley who has become our first team right winger making the position his own, good to have a player with good experience and free as well. Also happy we brought in youngster Hunte who may not be ready to start playing regularly for us yet be he is a guy with great potential and could easily become a great player for us.

Finally, after selling Vardy and loaning out Hopper, I decided it would be good to bring in a new striker, which is why I am incredibly happy I was able to bring former Leicester youth product Emily Heskey back to the club! He may be known as being a bit of a donkey at times but he has proved himself in the premier league before and I am sure he can perform in the championship! Also the fans love him so I cannot complain!

  15. September

    Foxes Revolution!-oiui.png

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 2 Wigan Athletic
    Sky Bet Championship

Wes Morgan (7) Nouha Dicko (31)
Chris Wood (18) Grant Holt (59)

    MOTM: Nouha Dicko (Wigan Athletic)

Very disappointed we threw away a 2-0 lead but based on the stats it was a very even game and with Wigan of course being a good team I suppose I should be kinda happy... just got to work on holding leads!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 3 Blackburn Rovers
    Sky Bet Championship

    Anthony Knockaert (52) Leon Best (28, 43)
Paul Konchesky (60) Robbie Cotton (73)

    MOTM: Leon Best (Blackburn Rovers)

Disappointed with this as we deserved a draw after managing to come back from 2-0 now... also we hammered them in the last 30 minutes of the match and their goal came from a counter attack... need to sort out the defence, not pleased with conceding 5 goals in 2 games!

    -----------------------------------

    Blackpool 2 - 2 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Wes Morgan OG (20) Andy King (11)
Nathan Delfouneso (84) Chris Wood (39)

    MOTM: Anthony Knockaert (Leicester City)

Another game that really did deserve to be a draw looking at the stats, but very disappointed that we weren't able to stop them from scoring a goal so late on... need to sort that out!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 0 Liverpool
    Capital One Cup 3rd Round

    Martin Skrtel OG (10) -
    Dean Hammond (65) -

    MOTM: Dean Hammond (Leicester City)

What a win!!!! They absolutely battered us throughout the entire game and I am very surprised we managed to get a clean sheet! Counter attacks worked perfectly in this game, and with them playing a full strength squad, we showed that on our day we can hold our own against the big boys! We will also be playing Fulham in the next round!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 1 Barnsley
    Sky Bet Championship

Paul Gallagher (24) Adda Djeziri (25)
David Nugent (71) Bobby Hassell (81)
    Zoumana Bakayogo (65) -

MOTM: Ritchie De Laet (Leicester City)

This was an incredibly dirty game! 7 yellow cards, 2 red cards and there was 26 fouls in the whole game! Also both teams having 2 players taken off injured as well. But still glad we managed to get the win in a game which I played a much weaker side in, disappointed we conceded straight after scoring, but get way to end the month!

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-22_00002.jpg

To be quite honest im surprised we are still 2nd after we had quite a shocker in terms of the league this month, just got lucky all the other results were in our favour to keep is near the top already, need to sort out the defence as we conceded 8 goals this month and I am not happy with that!

    Best Player of September

    Anthony Knockaert

Anthony Knockaert had another great month as he helped us out with 1 goal and another 3 assists this month and is still currently the best performing player in the Championship by quite a bit! If he keeps this up I can see there being quite a bit of interest in him in January and if we want to go up to the Premier League and stay there we are definitely going to need to keep him!

  16. October

    -----------------------------------

    Yeovil Town 1 - 4 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Alan Tate (Pen 50) John Stones (15)
    - Franco Zuculini (35)
    - Emily Heskey (45+1)
    - Anthony Knockaert (68)

    MOTM: Emile Heskey (Leicester City)

Easy! Absolutely battered them throughout the entire game and the only chance they had resulted in the penalty they scored anyway, very proud with this win as showing we are a top team in this league and also good as Yeovil were doing very well in the league before this game.

    -----------------------------------

    Doncaster Rovers 1 - 4 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Theo Robinson (48) Paul Gallagher (10)
    - Emile Heskey (19)
    - David Nugent (45, 55)

    MOTM: David Nugent (Leicester City)

This was virtually exactly the same performance as the last game... dominated from start to finish, scored the only chance they had and we really could have scored a few more goals, but still pleased with such another good win! Month is going well!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 0 Huddersfield Town
    Sky Bet Championship

    - -

    MOTM: Liam Moore (Leicester City)

Well this was an incredibly boring game... only 7 shots in the entire match! Very even game and to be honest before the game it is a match I thought we should be winning, especially after the last 2 games... but still, I guess a point is better than nothing.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 0 Bournemouth
    Sky Bet Championship

    Emile Heskey (1) -
    Andy King (50) -

    MOTM: John Stones (Leicester City)

Surprised that we won and managed to get a clean sheet in this game, was a very even match, 11 shots each, 50% possession each, but I guess we are just better at taking our chances. Could have been 3-0 but Bentley missed a penalty in the 33rd minute... should definitely make sure my defenders take our penalties as they haven't missed one yet!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 2 Fulham
    (5 - 4 Penalties)
    Capital One Cup 4th Round

Danny Drinkwater (47) Steve Sidwell (45)
Chris Wood (69) Scott Parker (68)

    MOTM: Franco Zuculini (Leicester City)

So happy we managed to win this! We were on the back foot all game but set us to be defensive and play counter attacking football which clearly worked well as we were able to score straight after they had, and then to manage to win in penalties was even better as Kasami blazed his penalty over the bar for us to win it be through to the quarter finals where we will be playing Stoke City away, gotta love a good cup run!

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-24_00002.jpg

Very good performance in the league! We cemented our position at the top of the table as we go 3 points clear and also with us scoring 10 goals in 4 games and only conceding 2 we now also have the best goal difference in the league. Carry on like this and we will definitely be joining the big boys in the Premier League next season!

    Wes Morgan

Big Wes has been a rock at the back for us this month! He has now become the 3rd best rating player in the league and also shown he has been performing well as we only conceded 2 goals in the league this month, starting to form a great partnership with Liam Moore in centre back as he also performed well this month as he won the Young Player of the Month in the league.

    Watford 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - Anthony Knockaert (68)

    MOTM: David Bentley (Leicester City)

Watford really did deserve to get a draw from this as it was a very even game and we only won it because of a counter attack from one of their corners. But still, glad the counter attacking technique is working so well and against a team who are known for being good at counter attacking as well.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 5 - 0 Nottingham Forest
    Sky Bet Championship

    Chris Wood (12) -
    Greg Halford OG (28) -
    David Bentley (70) -
    Andy King (86) -
    Kelvin Wilson OG (90+2) -

    MOTM: David Bentley (Leicester City)

This was virtually exactly the same performance as the last game... dominated from start to finish, scored the only chance they had and we really could have scored a few more goals, but still pleased with such another good win! Month is going well!

    -----------------------------------

    Ipswich Town 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - Gary Gardner OG (19)

    MOTM: Paul Konchesky (Leicester City)

How there was only one goal, and an own goal at that, in this game I have no idea, both teams have so many chances and everyone's finishing was absolutely appalling this game as we could of had 3 or 4 each, but, that's football, glad we got the win and a clean sheet!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 2 Millwall
    Sky Bet Championship

Andy King (70) Nadjim Abdou (15)
Anthony Knockaert (77) Jamie Paterson (Pen 90+3)

    MOTM: Nadjim Abdou (Millwall)

Very annoyed we didn't win this game! First of all we should definitely not have gone 1-0 behind and I was so happy when we managed to get back to 2-1! But then Paul Konchesky, MOTM last game!, came in with an incredibly bad tackle to give them a penalty in the very last minute of the game to throw away the win. Not happy.

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-24_00006.jpg

Another great month as we cement our position at the top of the table! Currently on a 10 game unbeaten run in the league (12 all competitions) and we have won 7 of those games which we can be very pleased with! Players are starting to gel together and being able to perform well and if we carry on like this, the league is definitely ours!

    Wes Morgan & Liam Moore

My big boys at the back! These two are forming the best centre back partnerships in the league as we managed 3 clean sheets and only conceded 2 goals this month! Very happy that we have a stable and competent defensive partnership which is very hard to come by, and I think if we go up they will be the main reason why.

Also I won the manager of the month! Good times!

I tend to use 3 different tactics, I shall put them up

Would be great to see what you use and in what circumstances, my biggest problem on this game is tactics!

  21. Tactics

    Tactic 1

    Foxes Revolution!-tactic-1.jpg

This is my more slightly defensive tactic to use against the bigger teams so it was the tactic I used in the cup games against Fulham and Liverpool, but also use against the bigger clubs that are a potential threat such as QPR and Wigan.

More of a defensive tactic and it used to soak up the pressure and then break and batter the opposition on the counter. Can work really well at times, especially straight after the opponent has scored and they are vulnerable.

    -----------------------------------

    Tactic 2

    Foxes Revolution!-tactic-2.jpg

Definitely my controlling the game tactic. Will use this in games where I the opposition are dangerous going forward and I will want to control the game, keep possession and reduce the opponents chances.

Very good tactic for controlling the game in the middle of the park with the 3 CMs but also good going forward with the 2 wingers and a strong capable ST upfront who is able to make chances himself.

    -----------------------------------

    Tactic 3

    Foxes Revolution!-tactic-3.jpg

This is the attacking, goal scoring tactic that I will use against lower league sides I think we can absolutely hammer and score a fair few goals against.

Very attacking tactic, but also has instructions for the players to control the game at the same time, therefore reducing the danger of counter attacks.

    -----------------------------------

  22. Quote Originally Posted by stevelcfc2008 View Post

Yeah I used to have problems with tactics on this game, but just got to get used to what the other team is going to be like, how to play well against it and also what your players play best with. And after 200 hours play time I think I have got the hang of it slightly!

  23. Important News!

    Injury!

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-25_00006.jpg

In the most recent game we played, one of our star players, Anthony Knockaert, was taken off injured right at the end of the game after a dirty tackle, for which no one was even booked! And it turns out he has a broken leg and now he will miss the rest of the season as he is out for 6 - 7 months!

This now means we are missing a strong, expressive, fast, winger who can change the game himself so it means we will definitely be having to look around in January to bring someone in to replace him for now, most likely a loan. But we may recall youngster Jeffrey Schlupp, and give him a chance to get first team football for us and show us what he can do.

Very sad at this news, but also extremely annoyed that whoever did it to him was not punished in any way!

    -----------------------------------

    Sheff Wed 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - Lloyd Dyer (42)

    MOTM: John Stones (Leicester City)

We were actually the 2nd best team in this game, Sheff Wed had a great game, controlling the play, having the most chances but luckily for us they couldn't take them and our defence was playing well. We only managed to get our goal due to a complete mix up in their defence as a pass back was intercepted by Lloyd Dyer, who is playing well in place of the injured Knockaert, may not need a replacement after all.

    -----------------------------------

    Brighton 0 - 0 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - -

MOTM: Ritchie De Laet (Leicester City)

Very even but boring game with only 10 shots all game, the only big news about this game was that this was the match where Anthony Knockaert broke his leg, and after looking through the highlights I found out it was Andrew Crofts who did it by coming through the back of him, extremely annoyed he wasn't punished.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 4 - 1 Burnley
    Sky Bet Championship

Wes Morgan (28) Danny Ings (85)
    Liam Moore (35) -
    David Bentley (Pen 66) -
    Chris Wood (Pen 76) -

    MOTM: David Bentley (Leicester City)

Felt so good to absolutely batter a good team! We were actually the 2nd best team somehow as we had less shots and less possession but we just took our chances better clearly. Slightly disappointed we let in a goal so close to the end, but Burnley did actually deserve to win that game as they were better, so suppose I can't be too annoyed.

    -----------------------------------

    Stoke City 1 - 0 Leicester City
    Capital One Cup Quarter Final

    Ryan Shawcross (65) -

    MOTM: Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City)

Definitely a game Stoke deserved to win as they showed why they are the team who are in the Premier League as they were on top from start to finish and were able to easily combat our counter attacking technique, although kind of glad we only conceded one, as Stoke deserved to have scored a lot more.

    -----------------------------------

    Q.P.R 3 - 0 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    Niko Kranjcar (Pen 25, Pen 36) -
    Matt Phillips (60) -

    MOTM: Niko Kranjcar (Q.P.R)

They really showed us this game why they are our main rivals for promotion this season. They controlled the game and were able to end anything we tried quickly and deserved the win. Although obviously could have been a completely different game on another day as were without Nugent, Wood and King this game, all of whom I believe would have made a real difference if they could have played.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 1 Reading
    Sky Bet Championship

Emily Heskey (65) Roysten Drenthe (64)
    Paul Konchesky (68) -

    MOTM: John Stones (Leicester City)

Reading were the better team this game and I am glad I chose the defensive counter attacking tactic for this as it worked perfectly! They are obviously a team who are very vulnerable after the have scored as we took full advantage and scored 2 goals in quick succession and then this knocked the stuffing out of them as we were on top for the rest of the match.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Bolton Wanderers
    Capital One Cup Quarter Final

    Chris Wood (21) -

    MOTM: Jay Spearing (Bolton Wanderers)

Glad we got back to our ways this game as we were the top team and controlled the match from start to finish, we did miss a penalty so could of had a more comprehensive win but still, great way to end the month and the year with a win.

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-25_00008.jpg

So even though we had just our 2nd loss of the season and our winning streak came to an end, it was still a very good month as we end the year 9 points clear of Q.P.R and we have set ourselves up to carry on strongly in the new year. Also pleased we have managed to amass 51 points just half way through the season, and if we carry on like this in the 2nd half of the season we will definitely be playing in the Premier League next season!

    John Stones

The man on loan for Everton has had a very good month for us as he won 2 MOTM awards and also picked up the Player of the Month award. Really going to look at trying to get him permanently at the end of the season if he keeps playing like this as he has definitely made the RB position his own.

Also I won the manager of the month award again! Manager of the Season award on its way to me?

Also it is now January which means the transfer market is open! I have a few ideas of positions I would like to improve, who I would like to bring in and also who I want to leave, so we shall see what happens! And I suppose one advantage of Knockaerts injury is that no one can sign him! HA!

  25. January & Transfers

    -----------------------------------

    Millwall 1 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Mark Beevers (38) Emile Heskey (17)
    - Paul Konchesky (78)

    MOTM: James Henry (Millwall)

Disappointed that this was an even game as Millwall are a team that we should have dominated. Was also quite a dirty game with 28 fouls, 7 yellow cards and of course, Koncheskys red card, but Millwall are a dirty team so is to be expected!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 2 Bolton Wanderers
    FA Cup 3rd Round

    Andy King (26) Lee Chung-Yong (64)
David Bentley (76) Ritchie De Laet OG (90+4)

    MOTM: Zat Knight (Bolton Wanderers)

Well the stats say that this game did deserve to be a draw, but obviously very annoyed that we conceded and own goal in the very last moments of the game as the whistle was blown straight after we kicked off again. Was an own goal he could do nothing about though so... guess its a replay!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Derby County
    Sky Bet Championship

Chris Wood (67) Will Hughes (23)

    MOTM: David Bentley (Leicester City)

OOOOOO it feels good to beat another rival! Although we could have easily scored 3 or 4 this game, especially as they played a majority of the game with 10 men, but still, a win is a win, and it's even better as its 3 points from the Derby scum!

    -----------------------------------

    Bolton Wanderers 1 - 3 Leicester City
    FA Cup 3rd Round Replay

    David Wheater (57) Emile Heskey (1, 9)
    - Liam Moore (70)

    MOTM: Emile Heskey (Leicester City)

That's more like it! Literally don't think we could have got off to a better start with big boy Heskey's 2 early goals, and he could have had a hat trick but his penalty was very well saved. Shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet as they only really had 2 clear cut chances in the entire game but still, we won! And we shall be playing scum Derby County in the 4th Round!

    -----------------------------------

    Leeds United 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    - Paul Gallagher (16)

    MOTM: Stephen Warnock (Leeds United)

Seems to be regular occurrence this kind of result, as we always seem to dominate possession, with every other stat being equal such as shots etc. but then only winning it by 1 goal. Still cant complain as it's good to grind out wins against teams that can put up a fight against us.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 3 - 2 Derby County
    FA Cup 4th Round

Wes Morgan (45+2) Jake Buxton (47)
Liam Moore (54) Johnny Russell (49)
    Chris Wood (76) -
    Paul Konchesky (90) -

    MOTM: David Bentley (Leicester City)

Really got worried when they scored their 2 goals in quick succession, especially as we had been the top team for the entire game, but then it seems after they conceded the 2nd the players got really fired up and tore Derby a new one and we could have easily scored 4 or 5 in just the 2nd half. Also need to look at Konchesky's tackling as he is starting to get sent off and give away a lot of fouls at the moment. We shall be playing away at Wolves in the 5th Round.

    -----------------------------------

    Birmingham City 1 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Lee Novak (Pen 74) David Bentley (83)

    MOTM: Alan Tate (Birmingham City)

Yet another game where we control the possession of the game but still have a lot of shots against us, need to work on actually stopping the opposition getting through and having chances, which you would think would happen anyway if they don't get much possession, but still, with Birmingham in the relegation zone I am not happy as we really should be beating them.

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-25_00011.jpg

Pretty average month in the league as although we continued our unbeaten streak and are now unbeaten in 6 games in the league, we did draw 2 games against teams who we should have beaten. Now 8 points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand as well. We also have an incredibly better goal difference with ours +26 and the second best being +17, as we have conceded the joint least amount of goals this season and only lost 2 games in the league so far this season which is absolutely amazing form.

The man who joined us on a free has been in great form for us this month as he scored 2 goals, helped us out with 3 assists and also got 3 MOTM awards this season, has definitely made the right wing position his own and will definitely be keeping it for the time being. Cant see why no one else was trying to get him!

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-25_00014.jpg

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-25_00015.jpg

We didn't actually have that much transfer activity during this transfer window in terms of bringing players in, as all we managed to do was agree a deal to bring in goalkeeper Marco Bizot on a free at the end of the season, as I see him as a player who will be a great back up to Schmeichel next season, but also has very good potential and I really can see him as being our future Number 1, which is unfortunate for Keita but he hasn't performed that well when we have called upon him so he will definite be going out on loan next season.

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-25_00016.jpg

I know we technically never bought him but I decided to bring Schlupp back from his loan at RB Leipzig to be our first choice left winger in place of the Anthony Knockaert and I have to say so far he has done a good job so glad we didn't have to go through the stress of trying to sign a new player, especially due to the reason I shall be talking about next.

We may not have brought in any players now and we don't necessarily need any, but there were a few players I really wanted to bring in and we actually could have but unfortunately the club is having some financial issues and we didn't actually have any funds available to bring anyone in during this transfer window.

  26. February & Transfer

    -----------------------------------

    Bournemouth 1 - 2 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Matt Ritchie (29) Jeffrey Schlupp (42)
    - Chris Wood (45+1)

    MOTM: Chris Wood (Leicester City)

Soooo quite disappointed that we went behind, especially seeing as we were the top team in the first half, but glad we managed to gain the lead before half time. But this fired up Bournemouth who came out all guns blazing the 2nd half but luckily we stood firm and managed to hold on for the win!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 3 - 1 Middleborough
    Sky Bet Championship

Wes Morgan (3) Lukas Jutkiewicz (41)
    Paul Gallagher (Pen 31, 70) -

    MOTM: Paul Gallagher (Leicester City)

Another even game in terms of stats but glad we the team yet again who was able to take our chances, and im sure the early goal really helped us to keep control and go on to win this game.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Watford
    Sky Bet Championship

Chris Wood (90) Daniel Pudil (89)
    - Almen Abdi (90+1)

MOTM: Ritchie De Laet (Leicester City)

I cannot imagine how angry the Watford manager must have been after this game! They were the better team and probably deserved to win but we scored from the free kick Pudil gave away in the last minute and then im guessing Abdi must have been really annoyed after this as he was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Wood. But Watford were dirty through the entire game as they were given 6 yellow cards as well as the 2 red cards! Dirtyyyy!

    -----------------------------------

    Nottingham Forest 1 - 2 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Samba Diakite (24) David Bentley (Pen 30)
    - Chris Wood (68)

    MOTM: Samba Diakite (Nottingham Forest)

Ooooo another lovely win over the scum forest! Although it did deserve to be a draw, and maybe even a close forest win, but we held firm to deny them during their periods of control of the game and managed to come out with the win! Lovely!

    -----------------------------------

    Wolves 2 - 3 Leicester City
    FA Cup 5th Round

James Henry (26) Chris Wood (10)
Kevin McDonald (85) Matty James (12)
    - Danny Drinkwater (69)

    MOTM: Matty James (Leicester City)

Jesus christ how we actually won this I have no idea... we got lucky that our players were able to finish their chances and stay strong to keep the win as we only had 5 chances and 36% possession in this game... quite disappointing saying that Wolves are a League 1 team, so a team we should have dominated ourselves. In the next round we will be going on a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 5 - 0 Ipswich Town
    Sky Bet Championship

    Luke Chambers OG (42) -
    John Stones (54) -
    Jeffrey Schlupp (62) -
    Liam Moore (74) -
    Danny Drinkwater (83) -

    MOTM: John Stones (Leicester City)

Another dominant display from our squad, very easy win for us and we absolutely destroyed Ipswich as they only had 4 shots with just 1 on target and 39% possession! Perfect way to end a perfect month!

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-28_00002.jpg

Literally the perfect month! 6 wins in 6, 16 goals, increasing our lead at the top of the table to 14 points, giving us a hugely positive goal difference and with 14 games left... unless we majorly cock it up I cannot see us being out of the Premier League next season!

And surprise surprise I was given the Manager of the Month award again!

    Chris Wood

The New Zealand international was on fire this month! 4 goals and 3 assists earned him the Played of the Month award which he greatly deserves as he is now one of the best and inform players in the league, which has of course resulted in interest from Premier League clubs Stoke City and West Ham United, but they can dream on!

    Transfers

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-28_00004.jpg

Saw this guy who was available on a free and pretty cheap in terms of wages. I have brought him in as a back up full back as Stones and Konchesky are performing excellently at the moment but I will still give him some chances against the weaker sides.

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Charlton Athletic
    Sky Bet Championship

    Zak Whitbread (29) -

    MOTM: Zak Whitbread (Leicester City)

This was your typical boring average game, they are also a team we should be dominating and ripping apart but we didn't. Although, 3 points is 3 points so can't complain.

    -----------------------------------

    Manchester United 2 - 2 Leicester City
    FA Cup 6th Round

Marouane Fellaini (49) Paul Konchesky (8)
Wayne Rooney (77) David Nugent (41)

    MOTM: Adnan Januzaj (Manchester United)

Holy crap how we didn't get annihilated this game and managed to draw is amazing... I mean just look at these stats!

    Foxes Revolution!-stats.png

Our defence this game was absolutely incredible and Paul Konchesky had the performance of his life!

Although in some ways I am quite disappointed we didn't win as we were actually 2-0 up at half time... but clearly David Moyes kicked some ass in the dressing room and they came out all fired up and we were lucky to keep it down to a draw.

    -----------------------------------

    Barnsley 1 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    Chris O'Grady (11) Jeffrey Schlupp (28)

    MOTM: Matty James (Leicester City)

Clear that the choice of fielding a younger inexperienced team backfired here as Barnsley are a team we really should be beating and we were actually quite lucky to earn a draw. Although we did have a chance to win it in the 79th minute but Schlupp unfortunately smashed his penalty over. Sad times.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 0 Blackpool

    Sky Bet Championship

    - -

    MOTM: Jack Robinson (Blackpool)

This was actually quite an entertaining game with over 20 shots, 7 corners and 7 yellow cards, it is clearly a game a neutral fan would have enjoyed. But unfortunately and I suppose fortunately neither side could finish at all this game as in 23 shots there were only 4 shots on target. Inexperienced squad showing through there.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 1 Manchester United
    AET

    FA Cup 6th Round Replay

    - Antonio Valencia (96)

    MOTM: Phil Jones (Manchester United)

We actually put up more of a fight this game and actually gave Manchester United quite the challenge and quite happy we managed to at least hold them to extra times, but Manchester United's strength showed through as our players were incredibly tired. But still happy to see we can perform well against one of the best teams in the world.

    -----------------------------------

    Blackburn Rovers 1 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Corry Evans (40) Matty James (36)

    MOTM: Matty James (Leicester City)

Another even game where the game could have gone either way as we were the better team up until they got a lucky goal from a corner and after that it was end to end and quite a match.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Yeovil Town
    Sky Bet Championship

    Martyn Waghorn (38) -

    MOTM: Byron Webster (Yeovil Town)

The youngsters finally have something to celebrate! An excellent win as we dominated Yeovil throughout the entire game, unfortunately for us their defence also performed brilliantly as proven by the fact they all get ratings of 7 or higher.

    -----------------------------------

    Burnley 2 - 1 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

    Danny Ings (19, 77) David Nugent (51)

    MOTM: Danny Ings (Burnley)

And our poor month comes to a very suited end as we definitely deserved to lose this game as Burnley were on top throughout and brought an end to our 16 league unbeaten run.

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-28_00006.jpg

Really wasn't a very good month for us, especially as we were playing against a lot of teams that we really should have beaten. Although luckily our rivals below us didn't perform that well either this month so didn't really manage to close the gap on us, but if we perform like this next month, we might not be so lucky. Although in all fairness I was choosing to play a lot younger and inexperienced squad this month to give some of the less used players a chance to show me what they can offer.

    Wigan Athletic 1 - 2 Leicester City
    Sky Bet Championship

Aruna Dindane (61) Liam Moore (23)
    - David Bentley (44)

    MOTM: David Bentley (Leicester City)

Game started off quite well for us as we were on top in the first half as you can see as we went in at half time with a 2-0 lead. But Wigan came out the traps in the 2nd half and were all over us and I am surprised they only managed to score 1, defence was in good form for us. We could have won 3-1 but Konchesky missed a penalty in the last minute... not having much luck with penalties at the moment.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 3 - 0 Sheffield Wednesday
    Sky Bet Championship

    David Nugent (10) -
    Franco Zuculini (57) -
    Lloyd Dyer (61) -

    MOTM: Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City)

Lovely perfect win this! One of our best displays this season as we dominated Sheff Wed and they only had 4 shots and 36% possession! Our great performance was greatly rewarded as we got our well earned 3 points which I didn't realise but it meant...

    Foxes Revolution!-promotion.png

PROMOTED!!!! We have done it! We will now be playing with the big boys next season in the Premier League! Takes a bit of pressure off of us now and now we can focus on winning the league!

    MOTM: David Lopez (Brighton)

Oops... this back fired immensely... though that seeing as we had already got promotion and in a good position for winning the league I would play a weaker younger side against a team I thought we would be able to bit with it... and I was seriously wrong as Brighton punished me for that choice, dammit. Also we had some problems with discipline this game with 2 red cards and 4 yellow cards, going to have to take a look at that if it becomes a problem because we cant be missing key players at the start of next season through bans etc.

    Hal Robson-Kanu (10) Paul Konchesky (87)
    Adam Le Fondre (24) -

    MOTM: Dean Hammond (Leicester City)

Think complacency was a bit of an issue in this game... played with the strongest squad I could and we still got slapped! We were lucky their finishing was shocking and that they only scored 2 as they easily could have scored 4 or 5... really shouldn't be slacking off at the moment as the other teams are actually starting to close the gap and if we play like this we could possibly not end the season as champions.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 3 Q.P.R
    Sky Bet Championship

Franco Zuculini (80) Kasper Schmeichel OG (4)
    - Joey Barton (Pen 26, Pen 81)

    MOTM: Joey Barton (Q.P.R)

Complacency has really become a bit of a problem now as we were battered again! Although I could quite easily pin this game on Zuculini... first game back after being sent off against Brighton and he gets sent off again. And what makes it even worse was that both the yellow cards he got resulted in Q.P.R having their penalties. Although we are quite lucky I suppose, because of other results, we now only need 1 point and for other results to go our way for us to be champions... come on!!

    -----------------------------------

    Bolton Wanderers 1 - 1 Leicester City

    MOTM: Marc Tierney (Bolton Wanderers)

Jesus we got battered again and! Another sending off! Need to sort these tactics out we are becoming quite a dirty team. But!!! We got the draw... and we couldn't have left it much later, and with other results going our way it means...

    Foxes Revolution!-champions.png

We are the champions of the Sky Bet Championship!!! We could have got this a few games earlier but, never the less we have done it and will be going up as Champions! Returning the foxes back to the Premier League after a 10 year absence!

    James Vaughan (71) Martyn Waghorn (55, 69)

    MOTM: Martyn Waghorn (Leicester City)

Well, seeing as we are promoted and champions of the league I can actually relax now and not be too bothered about the results, which is why I played youngsters in this game and will in the next one because of how well they did! Were the better team all game and earned a well fought win. Waghorn and goalkeeper Keita particularly impressing me, both probably showing why they should be in my squad next season... we shall see!

No one played particularly well this month, but that could be because I chopped and changed the squad every game this month and Andy King was the only player to play in all games... and as he managed to keep a pretty consistent average rating he gets best player for April.

    May Update

The next update will have the result of our final game of the season against Doncaster Rovers, who are relegated so it really is a nothing game and will be playing the youngsters again.

Typical end of the season game where both teams have nothing to play for... quite boring and average, but proud of the youngsters and players who dont usually play for us for doing well. Although would have preferred a win to the end the season on a high but oh well, CHAMPIONS!!

Oh it has been an incredible season for us! I don't think it could have actually gone much better, maybe a few better performances at the end of the season but still, we have done enough for us to win the league and get us to the promised land of English football which is the Premier League! Wigan Athletic will be joining us through the automatic position and Q.P.R will be joining us as winners of the play off's. Blackpool, Birmingham and Doncaster did not have good season at all and will be playing in league one next season... couple of players they have I may take a look at poaching!

    Best Player of the Season

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-28_00004.jpg

    Wes Morgan

Big Wes has been absolutely phenomenal at the back for us this season, been an absolute rock and showed why he is our captain and why he is one of the best players we have. Definitely going to be staying here, whatever offer we receive, as I believe he will be incredibly important in our campaign for staying up next season!

    End of Season News

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-28_00002.jpg

Not much has gone on around the club like upgrades etc. but I am happy to announce that I have been offered a new contract which will keep me at the club until 2016, hopefully enough time for me to keep us in the Premier League and establish ourselves as a main stay team in the Prem!

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-28_00008.jpg

Only one player in the Team of the Year and that's John Stones who had an excellent season for us and I will definitely be looking at trying to sign the England U21 International on a permanent transfer for next season!

Even I believe that I deserve this, as I managed to take Leicester City on such incredible unbeaten runs throughout the season and with such a limited budget as well and with the club having financial issues, think that is an incredible achievement!

  30. End of Pre-Season

So pre-season has come to an end and we shall be very shortly making our return to the Premier League with a home game against West Brom, and as they are quite a relatively good team, will be good to see how well we fair against them.

Pre-season went very well for us in my opinion, as you can see from the results we just seemed to get better and better! Especially pleased with the result against PSV as they are a very good team and we did very well to be the better team and also get a cleansheet.

We also ended pre-season style as we demolished Stranraer 8-1 and then had a very good performance from some younger players against Trabzonspor. Nice to also see that the new signings (who you will see in the next update) have settled in well!

Here are the fixtures for the rest of August and our first 4 games as back being a Premier league team

    Foxes Revolution!-fixt-2.png

Be nice to see if we can stand up to and do well against Man Utd again and also hope we can get some payback on Q.P.R for the 3-0 less at the end of less season...

COME ON LEICESTER! BACK IN THE BIG TIME!

  31. August & Transfers

    August

    Foxes Revolution!-fixt.png

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 4 - 1 West Brom
    Premier League

Franco Zuculini (13) Simon Cox (3)
    Matej Vydra (48) -
    Gareth Barry (55) -
    Liam Moore (63) -

    MOTM: Matej Vydra (Leicester City)

I don't think our start to our Premier League campaign could have got off to a better start! We were the much better team and could have had a lot more goals as we had 19 shots and 15 of them were on target! Nice to see our finishing has improved a lot more in games we dominate and hope this is a good omen for this season!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 1 Manchester United
    Premier League

    - Liam Moore OG (79)

    MOTM: Rafael (Manchester United)

Quite saddened by this result as we definitely deserved at least a point from this game... we put up such a good fight all game, against a team who are at the moment probably the best in the world, but also were incredibly dirty as they injured 2 of my key players! Have to feel sorry for Liam Moore though as he could do nothing about the goal.

    -----------------------------------

    Q.P.R 1 - 1 Leicester City
    Premier League

Adel Taarabt (22) Liam Moore (18)

    MOTM: Liam Moore (Leicester City)

Sad we weren't able to get one over on Q.P.R but we were actually lucky to even get a draw. We were absolutely hammered in this match and I guess it must be the players just trying to gel and get used to playing together. Especially as the familiarity level for the formation I am using mostly is quite low.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 0 Gillingham

    Capital One Cup 2nd Round

    Leon Legge OG (4) -
    Chris Wood (83) -
    Franco Zuculini (55)

    MOTM: Chris Wood (Leicester City)

Easy win for the squad full of new and young players as were battered the league 2 side right up until Zuculini got sent off... AGAIN! Really starting to get annoyed with how often he is getting sent off now and fined him 2 weeks wages for it... hopefully he will learn his lesson. We will be away at Huddersfield Town in the next round.

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-29_00001.jpg

Very acceptable and pretty good start to the season as we find ourselves exactly mid way up the table... down the table...? Depends which way you see it I guess but I would love for us to manage to be in this position at the end of the season but I know we are going to have to put up a hell of a fight to manage that.

    Best Player of August

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-29_00003.jpg

    Liam Moore

Even though he scored an own goal he played brilliantly in our 3 league games so far as he scored 2 goals for us, and I am sure he was the main reason as to why we didn't concede a lot more goals against Q.P.R. With some of the transfers we have brought in it is possible Morgan may lose his position but Liam Moore definitely will not. He has also been called up to play for the England U21's!

    -----------------------------------

    Transfers

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-01-29_00004.jpg

After getting promoted and then looking at the quality of our squad I decided we needed a big overhaul of our squad and to bring in a lot of class players and get rid of a lot of the deadwood/players who aren't good enough... hope you are ready for this!

    Foxes Revolution!-bizot.jpg

So of course this was already set up as we brought in Bizot as back up goalkeeper to Schmeichel and Keita has headed out on loan. Can really see Bizot soon fighting Schmeichel for the number 1 jersey and when he does I can then see Keita stepping up and becoming Bizots back up... may not look good for Schmeichel!

    Foxes Revolution!-clyne.jpg Foxes Revolution!-smith.jpg

After last seasons Team of the Year squad member Stones left and deciding that De Laet wasn't good enough I decided that we needed to bring in 2 right backs to fight it out for the position, and that's where I was lucky to get Clyne so cheap due to Southamptons relegation and also being able to get Smith on a free. 2 Great young Englishmen who I am sure will be great for us this season and for the future.

    Foxes Revolution!-monreal.jpg Foxes Revolution!-briggs.jpg

After coming up my main transfer was always going to be to bring in 2 class left backs to replace the aging Konchesky (Who has now left the club) and I was happy I was able to bring in Monreal so cheaply as I think he is a great player and also being able to bring in Briggs cheaply as well as he is definitely one for the future for us and maybe even for England. Did come close to signing Luke Shaw but Man City were his preferred choice

    Foxes Revolution!-balanta.jpg Foxes Revolution!-bennett.jpg Foxes Revolution!-burn.jpg

At the end of the season I saw Whitbread and Wasilewski were both declining so decided to let them leave the club and enter the market for a few class centre backs... and what finds I made! Ryan Bennett and Dan Burn are 2 great young English players who I was able to great relatively cheaply and will definitely be great players for the future. Also so happy I was able to get a world class and potentially one of the best most exciting future centre backs in the world... Eder Alvarez Balanta! He is such an amazing player and I cant believe we got him for just 10 Million! Will be an amazing player for us for years to come and I am definitely sure if we ever sell him we will make some hefty profit! Lovely!

    Foxes Revolution!-quaresma.jpg Foxes Revolution!-stewart.jpg

Decided that Bentley wasn't going to be able to cut it in the Prem so decided I best get another Right Winger to contest for the position with Knockaert. Was delighted to be able to get a player of Quaresma's calibre, man who has played for clubs such as Chelsea and Barcelona... free as well! Also brought in Stewart who has good potential but wouldn't be able to cut it in the Prem just yet so thought it would be best to loan him out to get the experience he needs.

    Foxes Revolution!-rodriguez.jpg

Felt that we didn't have a player who is good enough to perform game in game out for us on the left wing as Schlupp is still quite young so I was happy to poach Rodriguez from Southampton very cheap and will definitely be our first choice left winger. Will still give chances to Schlupp to give him the experience he needs to grow.

    Foxes Revolution!-barry.jpg

With King, Zuculini, James and Drinkwater being great players who I think can perform I though it would be a good idea to bring some experience to the side so I was happy to get Gareth Barry on a free as he is still a great player at this level and will be a great addition to the squad.

    Foxes Revolution!-delfouneso.jpg Foxes Revolution!-vydra.jpg

2 absolutely brilliant signings as Vydra is an absolutely quality player and scored 15 goals in 32 games at this level last season for West Brom so to get him for free is absolutely amazing. He is already worth 6.25 Million and I am sure he will be great forward for us for years to come, fighting it out with Wood to be our main striker. And after letting Nugent, Waghorn and and Futacs go I thought we could do with more back up other than Heskey so decided to bring in Delfouneso on a free who I think is a very good young Englishman and a more than adequate back up player, also having good potential as well.

    Big Transfers

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Crystal Palace
    Barclays Premier League

    Jay Rodriguez (84) -

    MOTM: Matthew Briggs (Leicester City)

A win we deserved as we were the better team in this game as we controlled the middle of the park and kept their strikers subdued. These are definitely the games we need to win and the kind of team we need to beat to ensure we stay up.

    -----------------------------------

    Everton 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

    - Matej Vydra (62)

MOTM: Eder Alvarez Balanta (Leicester City)

So good to get a win against one of the better teams in the league... even if they haven't had a good start to the season Everton are still one of the best teams in the league even if they aren't performing like it so it feels good that even though Everton were actually better than us this game, we were still able to grind out a win.

    -----------------------------------

    Huddersfield Town 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Capital One Cup 3rd Round

    - Dean Hammond (57)

    MOTM: Dean Hammond (Leicester City)

Couldn't see us ever losing this game, we made it a bit harder on ourselves as I played a squad of mostly young and back up players that haven't really played yet but still they were the top team and got us the win and put us through to the next round where we will be away at Brentford.

    -----------------------------------

    Norwich City 1 - 0 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

    Ricky Van Wolfswinkel (29) -

    MOTM: Sebastien Bassong (Norwich City)

We finally got put back in our place and showed that it is going to be a hard season ahead of us as Norwich hammered our goal, we had a much better amount of the possession (58%) but for some reason we could not make it count and Norwich still found ways to come at us and I have to admit they deserved this win.

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-02_00001.jpg

Don't think I could have asked or expected a better start as we currently find ourselves in 7th place and have a positive goal difference... we are already at 10 points and my aim for this season is to get the magical 40 points which is often enough to survive relegation... quarter of the way there!

The young englishman has been excellent for is this month and his partnership with Balanta is becoming excellent... definitely the main reason we managed to keep 3 clean sheets this month was this lads performances and the England U21 is definitely improving and just keeps getting better! No wonder there was so much interest in him over the summer!

Leicester City 1 - 0 West Ham United
    Barclays Premier League

    Matej Vydra (38) -

MOTM: Mark Noble (West Ham United)

Another game where we had most of the possession but still had more shots against us... really not sure why this is happening but I suppose it could be to do with the fact we are playing controlling football and trying to walk the ball in... so we are more at risk to counter attacks... may need to sort that out but still a good win!

    -----------------------------------

    Swansea City 0 - 1 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

    - Matej Vydra (40)

    MOTM: Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester City)

Schmeichel really did deserve the MOTM award this game as Swansea hammered our goal and how they did not score I have no idea! Swansea's pace and passing tactics ripped us apart this game and we only managed to score and win this game due to a great counter attack from us.

    -----------------------------------

    Aston Villa 1 - 5 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

Ron Vlaar (90) Matthew Briggs (19)
    - Matej Vydra (45+1, 64)
    - Jay Rodriguez (48)
    - Michael Essien (62)

    MOTM: Matej Vydra (Leicester City)

This game could have been entirely different within just the first 10 minutes as Aston Villa had a penalty saved and after that we just hammered them. Matej Vydra ran the show for us with 2 goals and 2 assists this game and I am sure Aston Villa will not be looking forward to seeing him again in the reverse fixture! Obviously disappointed we weren't able to hold on and keep the clean sheet, but still, a great win over a midland rival!

    -----------------------------------

    Brentford 0 - 2 Leicester City
    Capital One Cup 4th Round

    - Wes Morgan (41)
    - Raphael Calvet OG (73)

    MOTM: Wes Morgan (Leicester City)

Our captain returned from injury to lead us to a great win as he commanded the team from the back and snuffed any attempts Brentford tried to come up with! All in all was always going to be a win though against a much weaker side. We shall be going on a trip to Wales in the Quarter Final to play Cardiff City!

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

Literally the perfect month as we continued on our great start to the season with 3 wins in 3 games in the league! Beating some good teams along the way and showing we will not be pushovers and we deserve to be in this league! Although the next month will be a lot harder as we have 4 games, against Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool... need to be ready to be brought back down to earth and shown why they are some of the best teams in the world.

I also came out with the Manager of the Month award! Hopefully my first of many with Leicester City in the Premier League!

This man is definitely making a claim as to why he should be our first choice striker! 4 goals in 4 games, 2 assists and 1 MOTM award this month and he really is becoming a top striker in this league. Joint top scorer in the league so far and I am sure if he carries on like this then he will definitely be the 20 goal a season striker we greatly need to help keep us up.

    Transfer

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-04_00004.jpg

Saw that this brilliant player had been released from his contract and just couldn't miss out on the chance to bring a player of his calibre to the club! On a free as well! Michael Essien is definitely going to be a big player for us this season, and as a result of him coming in Dean Hammond will be leaving the club, whether that is permanent or on loan I am not sure, but with us already having Barry, King, James, Drinkwater and Zuculini, and now Essien, Hammond really is not needed anymore.

Brought back down to earth as Arsenal showed us it will be tough in this league, but we did actually put up quite a fight, but definitely Arsenal deserved the win, but if we had tried just that little bit harder we could have got a draw, as Arsenal did not exactly dominate us.

Exactly the same as the last game! Chelsea were the slightly better side and did deserve the win but if we just performed slightly better and had a bit more possession we could have got the draw... although we could have got the draw in this game but the guys just seemed to tire late on!

    -----------------------------------

Holy hell what a game!! Manchester City should have scored 5 or 6 against us as they had 33 shots! Possession and everything else was equal but clearly they make better use of their possession and create more chances! So pleased we were able to hold them back and get the win! Also after this game something happened...

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-04_00005.jpg

Goodbye Spalletti!!! He was sacked straight after this loss! First time someone has been sacked after we beat them... feels good! haha They have now hired Michael Laudrup as manager.

Another great game! Was end to end all game but we were clearly the team who could take their chances... although once they scored their first they started to batter us and I really thought they would go on to get the draw and maybe even the win... but we held strong and got the win! Lovely!

Although we may have lost 2 and won 2 I am still very happy with how the month went... we played 4 of the best teams in the world and managed to beat 2 of them and only just lose to the others! Incredible! We are still in an amazing position in the table and think we are now definitely going to be able to get a top half finish!

Also the draw for the FA Cup 3rd Round was made this month where we will be playing away at Reading!

The young Argentinian has been the aim of a lot of transfer activity over the summer and I can definitely see why... was incredible the entire month and definitely showed why he is one of and maybe even our best central midfielder. Will definitely be keeping him here for as long as possible unless we get some ridiculous offer... also if he keeps performing as well as he is I can't see why he wouldn't get a call up!

Another very poor performance from our team... no idea what's going on! Much better performance than the game at the beginning of the month! Clearly my ass whooping after that game had an affect as we were the much better team and deservedly got our good win. We did so well to only concede 2 and to actually score in this match! Man City had 26 shots and we had just 4... safe to say the difference in quality of players was only display in this game as they tore us a new one... now we go into the 2nd leg with a 1 goal deficit which will be hard to get back against most teams... and will be even harder against this team!

That's better! Though it would be better if I played a stronger team to ensure we made it through to the next round and it paid off as we were very good in this game, although took us a bit to get into as you can as we conceded straight away and then they took us by surprise after our 4th goal to come and score straight away but other than that they were not much of a threat. We had nearly 30 shots and 65% possession and absolutely battered Manchester City... clearly their goalkeeper was on fire tonight as he got a 9.2 rating! Suppose I can still be proud of how well we performed against such a good team though.

    -----------------------------------

    Huddersfield Town 1 - 2 Leicester City
    FA Cup 4th Round

Eder Alvarez Balanta OG (54) Matej Vydra (52)
    - Murray Wallace OG (77)
    - Adam Smith (78)

    MOTM: Oliver Norwood (Huddersfield Town)

So... almost regretted the weaker squad choice again seeing as we only just managed to win! Huddersfield were probably better than us this game and then of course once Smith was sent off they went all out and we were lucky we don't have to have a replay. We will be away at West Brom in the 5th Round.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 1 Everton
    Barclays Premier League

Andy King (17) Kevin Mirallas (53)

    MOTM: Joel (Everton)

Quite an action packed game but neither of us could finish off our chances this game and it definitely did probably deserve to be a draw. Although it was actually quite a dirty game as well with 9 yellow cards, 6 in just the last 15 minutes so clearly everyone was getting frustrated with not being able to score.

    -----------------------------------

    Crystal Palace 1 - 3 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

    Gary Mackay-Steven (55) John Guidetti (1)
    - Ryan Bennett (67)
    - Andy King (75)

    MOTM: Ryan Bennett (Leicester City)

Good to see we can still play like we did during the earlier months of the season as we were completely on top of Crystal Palace the entire game and they only scored because of a poor pass back in defence. Glad to be back playing how we used to be, hopefully we can keep it up for the rest of the season!

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-07_00002.jpg

So a pretty decent month overall as we got 2 wins and 2 draws in the league to keep us nice and high up in the league, never know... European spot? Also we progressed we performed well in the cups currently in the 5th Round of the FA cup and knocked out in the Semi's of the Capital One cup... so yeah pretty pleased with this month!

    Best Player of January

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-07_00004.jpg

    Andy King

The Welshman was in great form for us this month with 3 goals, 1 assist and 1 MOTM award shows why he is one of our star midfielders and of course I was not surprised when we got quite a few bids for him throughout January... of course I turned them all down!

    Transfers

    Foxes Revolution!-zenga.jpg

Although we may already have Briggs as our future Left Back Zenga is someone I am greatly looking forward to seeing playing for us in the future as I believe he has the potential to be a great left back and will definitely end up contesting with Briggs for that position! I sent him back to the club I brought him from on loan for the rest of the season so that he would still be able to get first team football.

    Foxes Revolution!-cahill.jpg Foxes Revolution!-petrucci.jpg

With me quite often using a formation with a central attacking midfielder and not actually having any players being able to play their naturally I thought it would be good to bring in a couple of players who can. Therefore I was very happy to be able to bring in the experienced Tim Cahill who will be my first choice, he is a great player who, even though he is 35, I am sure he will definitely be able to still perform well for us. Also brought in Petrucci who I believe will be a good back up to Cahill but also has good potential as well. Of course even better that both of these were brought in on a free.

    Foxes Revolution!-guidetti.jpg

When I saw John Guidetti going for just 250k I definitely had to get him... he is a great young player and with Heskey and Vydra being out injured I thought it would be a good idea to bring in someone else. He has already been playing well for us with 2 goals in 3 games... definitely has potential and I am sure he will be a top striker when he is older.

    Big Transfers

Leroy Fer (Norwich City) - Barcelona
    19.75 Million

    Fernando (Shakhtar) - Barcelona
    17.25 Million

Jores Okore (Aston Villa) - Wolfsburg

  37. Going very well! Hope you can keep this good form up until the end of the season.

Yeah I hope we can as well... although our performances are starting to tail off a bit so possibly may need to change up the tactics and try something new!

West Ham United 1 - 3 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

    Stewart Downing (19) John Guidetti (42, 67)
    - Anthony Knockaert (64)

    MOTM: John Guidetti (Leicester City)

Pretty even game statistically but clearly we are now a team who is very capable of taking our chances. A very good win and I think we did well to win this as after West Ham scored their goal they tended to just sit back and soak up the pressure and then try to punish us on the counter attack for which we could deal with thank god.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 1 Norwich City
    Barclays Premier League

Michael Essien (4) Ricky Van Wolfswinkel (81)
    Davide Petrucci (17) -

    MOTM: Michael Essien (Leicester City)

We were the much better team in this game and to be honest I think we could have definitely got 3 or 4... obviously quite annoyed how we conceded a goal quite late on, especially as this pumped them up and they were all over us and we were lucky in that aspect to get the win.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 3 - 0 Swansea City

    Barclays Premier League

    Jay Rodriguez (63) Chico (78)
    Matej Vydra (85, 89) -

    MOTM: Matej Vydra (Leicester City)

This was actually quite a boring game until our first goal... not really any action or shots on target and was just all about possession... but after our first goal we went crazy and started to tear Swansea apart... brought on Vydra in the last 10 minutes who clearly took advantage of them being a man down and tired and scored 2 in 5 minutes... lovely!

    -----------------------------------

West Bromwich Albion 0 - 2 Leicester City
    FA Cup 5th Round

    - Liam Moore (28)
    - Dan Burn (80)

    MOTM: Anthony Knockaert (Leicester City)

An incredible action packed game! 37 shots, 6 yellows, 2 injuries and a missed penalty... great one for anyone who would have been watching! We were the much stronger side in this as we had 28 shots and majority of the possession (64%) and could have had 3 but unfortunately MOTM Knockaert missed a penalty at the start of the 2nd half. And unfortunately for us Smith and Zuculini are both out for a month. We will be away at Peterborough in the 6th round... surely a win!

    -----------------------------------

    Manchester United 3 - 0 Leicester City

    Stephan El Shaarawy (79) -
    Wayne Rooney (89) -

MOTM: Stephan El Shaarawy (Manchester United)

Yeahhhh.... we kinda got shown today why Manchester United are currently top and the best team in the league... This was the biggest battering we have ever taken as Man Utd had 33 shots and 67% possession! We were literally just defending for the entire game and only had 3 shots... I knew it wouldn't be long until we got raped and shown we have a long way to go until we are one of the best in the league.

    -----------------------------------

    Arsenal 2 - 1 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

Carl Jenkinson (21) Ryan Bennett (39)
    Lukas Podolksi (85) -

    MOTM: Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

We definitely deserved a draw from this at least as it was a very end to end game and at times Arsenal were lucky we didn't score but I suppose we were lucky at times they didn't either... Conceding late goals might becoming a problem as we have conceded 4 goals in the last 10 minutes so far this month... which is obviously not good!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Aston Villa
    Barclays Premier League

    Jay Rodriguez (42) -

    MOTM: Liam Moore (Leicester City)

Easy game as we gave nothing to Aston Villa throughout the entire match and we have now completed the double over our Midlands rival this season!

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-09_00002.jpg

So a very good month in my opinion as I always knew it would be very hard for us to get something from the games against Man Utd and Arsenal... we have now been in 4th for 5 consecutive weeks which is looking good at giving us a chance of European football next year!

    Best Player of February

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-09_00003.jpg

    Ryan Bennett

He may not have been winning MOTM awards or showing us clearly what he can do but he is more like the silent hero for our team as many times in games he performed very well and is also very consistent and even though we lost its good to see he can chip in with a goal as well.

    - Danny Drinkwater (Pen 79)

    MOTM: Liam Moore (Leicester City)

Usually run into problems when I decide to play a weaker side but not this game... we were on top from start to finish and they scored their only shot on target this game, which was only due to my defence getting in a mix up. Still an easy win and we will go on to play Arsenal in the Semi Final!

    -----------------------------------

    Chelsea 1 - 1 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

Alex Sanchez (10) Matej Vydra (87)

    MOTM: David Luiz (Chelsea)

I have to admit... I have to feel sorry for Chelsea as they definitely deserved all 3 points as they were the much better side and gave us nothing all game but once it got to 80 minutes I decided to go for it and go for overload and it clearly worked as we had 6 shots in the last 10 minutes and managed to get a goal and get us a point!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 2 - 1 Manchester City

    Barclays Premier League

John Guidetti (60) Liam Moore OG (19)
    Davide Petrucci (81) -

    MOTM: Davide Petrucci (Leicester City)

What a win! We were probably actually the better team this game and I think we actually deserved this win. Also very happy that Guidetti was able to show City what they are missing as he scores against his former team and actually his 5th goal in 9 games! Also happy we were able to dig in and get another late goal to get us the win!

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-09_00005.jpg

Happy with this months results as our pretty easy cup run has got us into the Semis where we have the tough match against Arsenal! Also extremely happy with the league results as I actually thought we wouldn't be able to get anything from them so to get 4 points from 6 is great. We are 7 points behind Arsenal in 3rd and 5 ahead of Stoke in 5th so I do honestly believe that we are going to finish 4th this season!

Brought in one a free and this month he repaid my faith in signing him when no one else would... 2 goals, both giving us the leads in the games and in terms of the Man City game, the winner. Definitely deserved the MOTM for that game and hope he can keep performing and popping up with late goals, definitely a player who can win us games and get us points by himself!

Pretty average game to be honest and probably really should have ended in a draw, but decided to bring on the little french wizard for the last 20 minutes to hope he could make a difference and clearly it paid off as he went on a mazy run and belted it in from 20 yards! Great goal to win us the game!

    -----------------------------------

    Arsenal 1 - 2 Leicester City

    FA Cup Semi Final

Olivier Giroud (90+2) John Guidetti (66)
    - Andy King (110)

    MOTM: Marco Verratti (Arsenal)

So even though it seems like we were the better team as Arsenal had to rely on a very late goal to go into Extra time we were actually the much weaker side... as arsenal are a very attacking and possessive team I decided to use a counter attacking and defensive tactic and it clearly worked very well! Both goals came from counter attacks from corners and they had close to 30 shots so clearly the tactic worked very well.
We will be playing Swansea City in the final... chance for silverware!

    -----------------------------------

    Stoke City 3 - 0 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

    Marc Wilson (45+2) -
    Oussama Assaidi (72, 80) -

    MOTM: Oussama Assaidi (Stoke City)

We were shown this game why Stoke City are the main team competing with us for 4th... they absolutely tore us a new one this match and literally from the first minute I could tell this was going to be a very hard match. This result puts our hold on 4th place at risk and I think it will come down to the wire for who gets it!

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 1 - 0 Wigan Athletic
    Barclays Premier League

    Jay Rodriguez (90) -

    MOTM: Jay Rodriguez (Leicester City)

Well we may have left it late but at least we got the win we deserved! We showed Wigan why we are the best of the 3 teams who came up and absolutely battered them... although unfortunately no one seem to have their shooting boots on today as we couldn't score in 17 shots until a very good solo goal from Rodriguez right at the end.

    -----------------------------------

    Liverpool 2 - 1 Leicester City
    Barclays Premier League

Daniel Agger (34) John Guidetti (15)
    Luiz Suarez (66) -

    MOTM: John Guidetti (Leicester City)

Well I decided to use the same tactic we used against Arsenal and it worked quite well for the first half an hour but they then decided to go more attacking and change up formation and it clearly worked as they battered us for the remaining 60 minutes and they got the goals and the win that they deserved.

    -----------------------------------

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-11_00001.jpg

So I think its easy to say that we will not be able to make it to 3rd... but with how it is at the moment I think we really will get a European spot as I think if we can't keep hold of 4th (Newcastle only 2 points behind) but I think we will be able to keep 5th from Stoke (4 points behind). So other than the Stoke result I was pretty pleased with our performances this month as we improved our position on getting European football next season and also now have a chance at Silverware!

This fella has been an absolute god send for us this season... single handedly being able to save us games and stopping the other team from scoring and other than the Stoke game (worst game of his career) he had another great month and I think I am going to have to work hard to keep him in the summer! Also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't too long until he gets called up to Englands first team at this rate!

    MOTM: Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle United)

Well the 2nd half for this game couldn't have gone any worse... the 1st half was actually good for us as we were probably the beast team but clearly Newcastle came out fired up in the 2nd half and ripped us apart, and due to other results this dropped us down to 5th in the table.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 0 - 1 Fulham
    Barclays Premier League

    - Alexander Kacaniklic (61)

    MOTM: Brede Hangeland (Fulham)

Really a game I am very disappointed with as Fulham have been very poor this season and are definitely a team we should have beaten. We were also the much team this game and I think the fact that one of their defenders got MOTM shows that the reason we couldn't score was due to their defences performance. This result accompanied with others has dropped us down to 7th out of European places.

    -----------------------------------

    Swansea City 2 - 0 Leicester City
    FA Cup Final

    Michu (17) -
    Chico (46) -

    MOTM: Chico (Swansea City)

The way we played we definitely didn't deserve to win this game. Swansea's passing and possession tactic was easily shown in this game as they were the much better team and definitely deserved the win so well done to them. But still I really thought Swansea would be a team we could beat so quite disappointed in that aspect.

If there wasn't so much riding on this game I would be pleased with this result but because we had to win to even have a chance of getting European football now due to our position and the cup loss I am actually quite disappointed with this as we did have chances where we could have won the game but clearly the pressure was too much on our players as we couldn't pull it off.

Saying this was our first season back in the Premier League for 10 years this was an incredible season! Managing to finish clear of the relegation zone is very pleasing but 7th?! That is just incredible! Although obviously I am quite disappointed that we messed up our chances of European football but I was thinking and maybe it is a good thing as it allows us to focus on becoming a better club in England then we can look at improving an a European level. But with the correct squad improvements I think we can make it into Europe next season!

The young Englishman has been excellent for us all season... very consistent (bar the Stoke City game) and has definitely been our star performer this season! We had a fair bit of interest for him last summer and in January and there are already a few teams interest in signing him this season but I will defintiely doing everything I can to ensure he will be playing with us this time next season! He really is a great young player and with Morgan aging and not really get in the squad Moore is definitely a player I can see as our future captain and is already always one of the first players I choose in our squad if fit and able to play.

I came 3rd in the results for the Manager of the Year which I think is very suitable as of course Moyes did well to win them the league this year seeing as they were runners up last year, Hughes has done incredibly well to get Stoke European football and of course I think I deserve 3rd as we performed well all season and being a recently promoted club 7th is a great place to finish.

The squad is going on a training camp to Austria and of course I have included every player we currently have, one problem is I have tied up deals for some free transfers to come to the club so they will be missing out on getting to bond with the team but im sure the other friendlies when back from the training camp will be enough for them.

I believe with the squad we have we should definitely be winning all of our friendlies, with only the game with Galatasary being a match which we could potentially lose, especially if I rotate the team a lot but I guess we will have to see.

    -----------------------------------

    Squad

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-11_00012.jpg

I have to admit I am still very pleased with the squad set up we currently have... only problem I can see is that a few of our midfielders; Barry, Cahill, King have got to the point where they are not developing any more and will be starting to decrease so I will be looking at bringing in 1 or 2 midfielders to help replace/cover them. I will also be looking at bringing in another Right Midfielder as I have sold Queresma and will be looking to bring in someone young to fight with Knockaert for first choice. Other than that I am pleased with my squad and will also be looking to bring in some players with good potential who I will probably also loan back out.

  44. End of Pre-Season

    Foxes Revolution!-pre.png

So looking at our results I would say we had a pretty good season... at the start I left it to the assistant manager to take charge of the friendlies but once he lost 2 in a row I decided to take charge again and obviously it was a good idea as the squad performed brilliantly for the rest of the games, also the new players were starting to fit in quite well in the games we had when returned from our tour.

Looking very promising for the next season and cant wait to get started! These are our opening fixtures for the rest of August and I believe we can easily win all of them which would be the perfect start!

A good start to the new season as a lot of our newer players got a chance to play for us competitively and the team played very well and we probably could have won by even more, but still a good win.

    -----------------------------------

West Ham United 2 - 3 Leicester City
    Premier League

    Andy Carroll (74) Jay Rodriguez (21, 66)
Kevin Nolan (83) Kevin Nolan OG (89)
    Darren Fletcher (52) -

    MOTM: Jay Rodriguez (Leicester City)

Jesus I was so worried that we had messed this up... for some reason once Fletcher was sent off and we got our 2nd our players slacked off and West Ham took full control and really could have had the chance to actually win... but still we got very lucky to get the own goal at the end and win the game which if it was based off stats should have been a draw.

    -----------------------------------

    Leicester City 5 - 2 Wycombe Wanderers
    Capital One Cup 2nd Round

    Jay Rodriguez (2, 10) Josh Scowen (66)
Tim Cahill (8) Eric Odhiambo (74)
    Chris Wood (20) -
    Francis Coquelin (40) -

    MOTM: Jay Rodriguez (Leicester City)

Was proud we could get such a convincing win, even when I played a much weaker side and included a lot of the newer players. We probably could have even had more than 5 as we had a lot of chances in the 2nd half and also slightly disappointed we conceded as Wycombe were very poor and didn't deserve the goals... but still a very good win and we will be going on to play Blackburn Rovers at home in the next round.

Perfect win to end the perfect first month of the season! Was a very hard fought battle against a team we tended to struggle against last season, especially as they battered us 3-0, and we definitely deserved this win and probably could have got another but Vydra missed a great chance... oh well, still a great win!

    League Table

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-17_00002.jpg

Perfect start to the season with us winning every game and ending the first month at the top of the table! I do have to admit the games we had were pretty easy and games we should have won so very glad we did. Also we currently have the top goalscorer on our books who I decided was the Best Player as you can see below.

Also I won Manager of the Month which is clearly deserved!

    Best Player of August

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-17_00003.jpg

    Jay Rodriguez

This man is on fire! 6 goals in 4 games, current top goalscorer in the league, for the club and also our best performing player, as well as also contributing with 2 assists! Was certainly no surprise that I had a fair few bids come in for him, of course I turned them all down! Also a very good month for him saying he was playing Left Wing for us so clearly did very well to score that many. Think he is going to be very important for us this season!

    -----------------------------------

    Transfers

    Foxes Revolution!-2014-02-17_00004.jpg

So at the end of last season is was quite east for me to see players which would need to be sold and which positions would need improving and I managed to get all the players I wanted and also got rid of all the deadwood I didn't want... be that on loan, transfer or free. Also made sure that all youngsters who would not get game time for us went out on loan to ensure they will get the experience they require. Time for a look at who has come in!

    Foxes Revolution!-long.jpg

So first of all, Bizot was complaining about not getting enough first team action so wanted to go out on loan, and Keita would have been the same so decided to bring in a good back up goalie and when I saw this guy I just had to have him... Long may have cost me 10 Million but he is definitely going to be a great player and is definitely my replacement when Schmeichel starts to decline. Can definitely become Englands future No 1 in my opinion!

    Foxes Revolution!-kolodziejczak.jpg

With Briggs getting a lot of game time last season, and a fair few injuries, Monreal declined quickly and decided it would be better for the both of us if he left... but this left us with just one LB so decided to bring in a back up to Briggs... Kolodziejczak is a player who will definitely be fighting with Briggs for first choice LB and he also good potential and being relatively young... think I am definitely sorted for LB's for a fair while.

    Foxes Revolution!-casasola.jpg

Now this transfer only happened because I had to make the very hard decision to let Morgan leave... he wasn't getting much play time at all and wanted to leave and as no one was interested in him I offered him mutual termination which he accepted. I decided it would be good for me to bring in another player and when I saw Real Madrid go in for Casasola and saw his stats I decided we must try our hardest to get him... which we managed! Will probably not play for us often this season but definitely is a good back if needed!

Decided to let Drinkwater and Essien go as they declined greatly over last season and weren't in my plans. So I decided it would be good to bring in a couple more players, Romeu was transfer listed and for just 3.6 Million I just couldn't pass up the opportunity! He is a quality player and can't wait to see him play for us this season! Also saw Mendy and Coquelin were both available for free and decided to bring them both in... out of the 2 I saw Coquelin as the one who has a better current ability and will be a better choice to keep at the club so he will be appearing regularly for us this season while Mendy has gone out on loan to get the first team experience he would not get with us.

Bentley and Queresma complained about not getting enough game time and with them both also declining I decided to let them leave and bring in a replacement. I saw Campbell was going to be available on a free for most of last season so as soon as I could I tied up a deal to bring the former Arsenal youngster to our club! At just 23 I think he is already a great player and still has potential to improve, so bringing him in on a free is a great piece of business in my opinion!

Now... at the time I saw this as a great transfer as I didn't believe Schlupp or Hunte quite have the ability to step up yet so thought Larsen, who is a great player to get on a free, would be great competition for Rodriguez but now with how Rodriguez has started off he may not get the game time I thought he would... still a good signing and great player to bring in though so will be interesting to see what happens with him.

All in all I am very happy with the transfer activity at the club this summer and there is still a couple of deals that might go through but we shall have to see. Believe we have greatly strengthened our squad and it is much better than it was last season so don't see why we cant aim for a higher position!
