Right so i was getting a bit bored as i entered my 14th season with Limerick FC so have decided to try my hand at a different league and a new team.
I decided to rather than have to build up a whole league like with the Irish league i would go into one of the bigger teams and try and build up a fringe contender side and see if i could break the grip of the Big German sides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Right so the little side challenge for me is that im going to try and bring in mainly younger players and hopefully most of them will be German.

Right so a little bit about Wolfsburg.

So the only thing i really new about the club was the fact that Dzeko used to play for them and as you can see hes a Club Legend.
So the few reasons i chose Wolfburg are shown here.

    Were Predicted 5th

    Worth £110Million

    No Debt

First thing i noticed when looking at the squad is that its very young and full of potential, theres only 2 players in the 1st team squad over the age of 30 and a lot of our top players are barely in their twenties.

    Key 3 Players

    Luiz Gustavo - CM

Hes currently in Brazil playing for the National Team at the World Cup in real life at the moment and is a new signing at Wolfsburg having joined from Bayern Munich for almost £15Million.

This young Belgian is one of the main reasons i decided to take charge of Wolfsburg after his recent transfer from Chelsea. He cost almost £20Million and is going to be one of the best players in the world and a key player for us.

I thought i hadnt seen him on Raw in a while. . . . Ive bought the young Swiss Left Back a few times on various saves as he can easily become one of the best left backs in the world.

Thanks man, i dont think i have ever been a German side bar Bayern Munich for a little bit so it should be a fun and interesting save for me, I did try Twitch i think it was for a while but never really got into it, I dont really have the time to do too much detail for thinks like youtube and im not much of a tech person with computers.
    thanks for reading

  6. No Problem, and you'd have alot of fun on YpuTube!!
Anyway, i suggest you join 2 Facebook groups called FMNutters and TheFMSociety.

They are such chilled out people and are happy to help or just talk about anything!! HAVE FUN!!
You must buy Eder Alvarez Balanta though amazing Centre-back, an OKAY left-back (turns into an amazing one after 1 season of retraining him there!!) he's also cheap (£7.5-£9million) amd is only 21!!

I signed him on my PSG career as we were in dying need of a good, solid left-back, withing 1 season he had gained 12 Colombia caps with 8 goals!! Within 5 seasons, he had 72 caps, 41 goals!! AS A FUCKING LEFT BACK!!!

    MUST SIGN!!

I had him on one of my saves hes pretty awesome but my transfer budget is going to be rubbish this season so i wont be making many changes, I have Rodriguez at Left Back anyway but will bare him in mind when i have some money for a centre back

Well i was expecting a lot more money to spend to be honest but i guess most of it was spent before i got here with Gustavo and De Bruyne costing over £35Million between them having only just joined.

    Players In

So i only brought in the one player an American LB for a couple of million who will replace the outgoing Ricardo Rodriguez on the cheap, I looked at the likes of Dongou, Will Hughes and Allione but i couldnt get any of them for the money i had available, there wasnt even anyone up to much that was transfer listed or on the loan list so it looks like i will have to stick with what i have got until at least the winter.

    Players Out

Well i signed a replacement for Ricardo Rodriguez and then his transfer didnt come off! We had loads of interest but when it came down to it no one wanted to pay more than £8Million when i was expecting closer to £20Million for him! I managed to sell a Brazillian guy Felipe for just over a million who wasnt going to get near the first team whilst im looking to let Olic go if he doenst perform really well as his contracts up next year, hes getting on a bit and on a massive 85k a week and wants a new deal for 100k!

So i can see why we pay Olic 85k a week now as he smashes in 6 goals in his opening 5 games of the new season! We won 4 of my 5 first games with the draw coming against Dortmund.
We havent had any resounding victories but the 3 league wins in a row against the lesser teams is definitely a good start with Perisic the Croatian winger in good form too.

4 more wins this month with the tactic working wonders for my side with De Bruyne in fine form and young German midfielder Arnold also in decent form.
We have done really well so far but the only decent team we have played is Dortmund who we drew with so this save wont really get going until next month when we face Bayern Munich in the league.

Yeah im trying the academy/youth save at the moment because i would get too bored if i just signed players as and when i needed them, I havent really ever managed in the German league either so it all feels a bit new and after so many seasons in Ireland im just happy to be looking at a few differnet screenshots. thanks for reading

3 wins in a row at the beginning of the month before 5th placed Mainz stun us with a hard fought win. Mainz scored 2 early goals and then shut up shop with us having over 30 shots but not scoring a goal!
Caliguiri has been in fine form again this month scoring goals rather than setting them up with Olic getting his customary one league goal this month.

So we started the month in the German Cup match against Gladbach with Olic scoring a brace it looked all over before they came back strong and took it to penalties. With Germans suppose to be so good at penalties i thought this shootout may take all night but it was over in an instance as they missed all 3 of their penalties!
We then thrashed Nurnberg 5-2 with Olic on form once more with a hattrick before grabbing 1-0 victories over Schalke and Leverkusen.
We have been a bit like Chelsea in our title bid as we dont seem to be thrashing teams but we always get the win and have 12 clean sheets in 20 games.

Well its still not much of a budget but i can get it to around £7Million if i adjust the wage budget a little bit.

    Players Out

So 2 players left with backup striker Bas Dost moving to HSV for £3.7Million after simply not getting a goal in the few outings i did give him whilst Vierinha left for Werder Bremen in a £3.3Million deal after complaining about a lack of game time.

    Players In

So i brought in 3 players for a combined £3.7Million, I could have brought them all in on free transfers at the end of the season having agreed contracts with them but i didnt have any other transfers in mind and wanted to strengthen the squad as we come into the title run in.

There pretty good fun, have a lot of good young players but i think most German clubs have a lot of potential in them, the only downer is i was expecting more money to spend as were not in any sort of debt and the balance is good but they just dont want to give me any money.

3 wins out of 5 in the league this month as we started March with a shock loss to Augsburg, they beat us the same way Mainz did with 2 goals in the opening few minutes and then sitting on the lead for the rest of the game. We also lost a hard fought game to Bayern Munich in a top of the table clash.

So after the couple of losses this month we have dropped down into 3rd and you could say were down where we belong. We are well ahead of 4th place so Champions League football next season is almost confirmed and we still have the German Cup Semi Final against Mainz to look forward too.

So we obtain hard fought victories at the start of the month in the league before snatching a 1-0 win over Mainz in the German Cup Semi Final setting up only our second German Cup Final in the clubs history against Bayern Munich.
In the next game though Mainz got their revenge in the league beating us again the only other team bar Bayern to beat us home and away in the league this season.

So were 4 points behind Bayern and Dortmund so it looks like 3rd place it will be which at the start of the season i would have been very happy with.
Bayern have been the more dominant force this season but in recent weeks Dortmund have had the more impressive victories and have the better goal difference, they will certainly miss Lewandowski next year.

It was an impressive back and forth game which ended 3-3 and went to penalties. Like everyone knows the Germans know how to take penalties with us scoring our first 5 in a row and Bayern scoring their first 6 before defender Trasch broke Wolfsburg fans hearts everywhere by firing it over the bar and giving Bayern a Domestic Treble.

End Of Season Stats and Awards - May 2014

    Summary

Well it was a pretty good first season in charge, we reached the German Cup Final and loss a hard fought Final on penalties to one of the best teams in the world In Bayern Munich.
We actually spent a large chunk of the season at the top of the table with Dortmund and Bayern looking up at us and have secured European Football for next season.
Players wise, So many of our players have performed so well this season and whats even better is that so many of them are so young that there only going to get better, De Bruyne and Rodriguez had brilliant seasons but so did young German Arnold and centre back Knocke another German with a lot of potential whilst one of my January signings Sebastian Rode has also been incredible.

Ooosh! Thats what im talking about, £48Million transfer budget and 300k to play with in the wage budget should give me plenty to play with in the transfer window this summer.

    Players Out

So the big transfer deal out this summer was Mame Diouf moving to Sporting for £7.75million, He never really did much for us after scoring 1 goal in 8 games he then got injured for 5 months and i just felt like if i could get some decent money for him he was expendable, i only bought him for £2Million. After that it was only really a few loan deals and the releases, a couple of players left for small fees as clubs who had had them on loan last season agreed deals for them to stay permanently. I couldnt really sell too many players as our first team squad wasnt that big.

    Players In

Well first off i will post screenshots of a couple of players i have brought into the first team squad who were out on loan last season just so you dont wonder where they have appeared from.

    Nassim Ben Khalifa - ST/AMC

So i brought in a total of 5 players for £42.5Million in this window and they were mainly younger players with a couple of them German and an experienced centre back.

    Michy Batshuayi - ST - £6.75Million

An abosloute steal with his release clause so low! I was looking at the likes of Lukaku, Bentek and Bony and getting quoted the big bucks but when i saw him on the cheap like this i snapped him up. He will more than likely be my first choice striker from now on with Olic at his age going to become more of an impact sub.

    Ron Vlaar - DC - £6Million

Name:	Ron Vlaar_ Overview Profile.png

ID:	627544

Well i when i was looking at where to strengthen i think i got away with it last season but we only have 3 centre backs in the whole first and second team squads! I know i said about how the centre back pairing played 39 games each last season due to no injuries but we would have been buggered if they had picked up a knock.
So i snapped up Vlaar on what i consider a cheap deal, he adds some experience to the back line along with Naldo whilst Knocke is more the youth and speed.

    Maximillian Meyer - AMRLC - £19Million

Name:	Maximilian Meyer_ Overview Profile.png
Views:	1289

Its big bucks for an 18 year old but i know most of you would have heard of this Wonderkid and he fits my motive of Young and German perfectly. I brought him after spending weeks and weeks negotiating with Schalke over a Julian Draxler deal but they wanted over £40Million so i looked at their squad and saw this guy and pinched him instead.

    Marko Marin - AMRLC - £7.25Million

Name:	Marko Marin_ Overview Profile.png
Views:	1286

Another youngish German who i saw on loan on the cheap, He will have to make an impact quick as i tried to get rid of Caliguiri and Sissoko to bring him in but couldnt sell them so hes a bit of a luxury and the squad is looking big in that department.

    Odisseas Vlachodimos - GK - £3.7Million

Name:	Odisseas Vlachodimos_ Overview Profile.png
Views:	1340
Size:	276.9 KB

I signed the young Greek with the catchy name as a backup to Benaglio with our 2 backups leaving in the summer on free transfers, I did have a bid accepted for Ter Stegen but he chose Barcelona, I didnt really need him but it was a bit of a case of now or never as he will never go for that cheap again.

There all decent players i had Gauld on my long term Dundee United save and Grealish was the only decent Irish player in the National team on my Limerick save, Zivkovic looks pretty decent but in recent form on my game has 1 goal in 22 games! My tactic is called Shots Galore and is very attacking Meyer, De Bruyne and Perisic have been on fire as an attacking midfield trio.

A real back and forth month this October as we win 3 games and lose 2, We started the month with an impressive 3-1 victory over Fiorentina with Meyer and Batshuayi grabbing early goals before Rodriguez confirmed the 3 points with a late penalty.
Leverkusen scored in the opening minutes of the game before Luis Gustavo got sent off for 2 yellow cards inside 15 minutes and after that we were chasing the game.
We then managed to beat Dusseldorf with 2 second half goals from our subs before falling to a late defeat to Porto as they scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes.
We ended the month on a better note as Batshuayi grabbed a brace to down Augsburg, Next month will be key to our season with Bayern and Schalke two of our main rivals in league and Porto our main threat in the Champions League group.
