A much better performance as a Diego Costa hatrick sees us safely past Newcastle and gets us back on track. A clean sheet is also a welcome sight but Costas's form is the main positive from this one.

A second hattrick in as many games for Diego Costa saw us thump Wolves and maintain our place at the top of the Premier League. Nemanja Matic scored the other goal of the game for us with a super long range effort which slipped under their keeper. Rolando Aarons scored the consolation for Wolves.

Oh yes! a massive win for the lads against a very good Man City side. Things started out very poorly as Eden Hazard missed a penalty and City went staight back up the other end and took the lead through Kevin Volland. We left it very late but we finally hit high gear with Diego Costa grabbing an equaliser before Martins Indi gave us a late win from a set piece scramble.

And the wins just keep on coming, this time in another big match against high flying Everton. Once again things didn't get off to a good start against my former club when Martins Indi gave away a penalty which Leighton Baines tucked away. After that it was all about our comeback with Diego Costa scoring yet again and then Oscar giving us the lead just minutes later. Everton dominated the 2nd half but couldnt find a way through as we saw out the game.

Diego Costa is in the form of his life. His brace was easily enough to see us past a poor Hull side and the clean sheet is a welcome bonus with some good defensive organisation from Martins Indi and co.

Eden Hazard kept up the form required to be in with a shout of the Ballon D'or as we thumped West Ham at the Olympic Stadium. A brace for Hazard and another goal for Costa was enough to see us through with the defence keeping another clean sheet.

And we breezed past struggling Tottenham with consumate ease. A brace from the most unlikely of sources Aleksander Dragovic made things comfortable after Diego Costa opened the scoring with his 21st league goal of the season. Toby Alderweireld scored from a set piece late on but it wasn't anywhere near enough to get them in the game.

New years day! a great occasion and a rotated side due to our last game being two days ago with Ross Barkley dropping to the bench with Jack Wilshere taking his place. Despite dominating the game it was quite a close result and we were lucky to win following a careless red card for Javi Martinez. I barely even need to tell you who scored the first goal as Diego Costa prodded home and then Jack Wilshere got his first Chelsea goal with a neat finish. Good stuff.

The table is looking very nice even though Liverpool are starting to annoy me now. They are just refusing to drop away and are keeping us well and truly on our toes. Everton however have dropped away under Mancini's management.

The board have decided I have done such a good job that they are willing to reconsider my transfer budget. Due to the change in our financial situation we have now been given a whopping transfer budget of £71 million and almost £700k in spare wages. I will be taking a look at some transfer targets and checking their availability.

Easy stuff as a heavily rotated side saw off Bournemouth in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Andrej Kramaric netted a superb hattrick which he wrapped up with a penalty to blow Bournemouth away.
