You offered 65 000 in your wage offer and he was already getting paid that amount at Southampton, which is why I couldn't let the transfer go through. Sorry!

There was nothing written in the rules about minimum wage offers, so I matched his salary.

My bad mate, didn't see your message at the end of the inbox because you sent it quite early! I'm adding your transfers to the game save though and will treat the transfers as if you made them during the joker transfer window you can just say which players you put offers in because as far as I'm aware no one put in offers for those players in the initial transfer window so at least people will know that they're at your club now (Benfica)

An amazing start with the two Madrid teams and two of the London-based clubs in the Super League database in Arsenal and Chelsea. They're the only two sides still undefeated in the league so far and will face FC Barcelona and Manchester United next respectively. The best two performers in the league since the start of the season have been Lionel Messi, with an average rating of 8.22 from his 6 games with the club so far but is yet to score, whilst Daley Blind comes in right behind him with an average rating of 7.93 from his 6 games with his club. Griezmann justifies his team's great form with 5 goals to his name in just 6 games and it looks like a promising campaign for him as well as Kevin Volland of Leverkusen who's also scored 5 goals. Juventus have been disappointing so far this season and they'll have to pick themselves back up if they want to impress their fans in this very first UEFA Super League edition.

Hope you're happy with this first update, unfortunately I've realised that I didn't add monthly awards to the database but it's now a bit late to do that so we'll just have to continue without a player of the month and young player of the month and stuff. Hopefully that's okay! Considering it's only been 6 games, I'm guessing none of you will want to change managers already so I'm gonna go ahead and simulate until the end of November now!

  25. Ouch! Not a great start there! Big changes needed at Napoli!

  26. Very certain allegri can change this bad start. Think we can be in top 10 in a few weeks !

  27. So I know I said I'd only simulate until November but I forgot to ask you guys one thing: when do you want updates? if it was up to me, I would've simmed the whole season and just posted a season update by now. Would you prefer updates every 2/3 months in-game or just every 6 months or every season? Please let me know so I know when to simulate until! (already ended up simulating until January 1st as not many games happened in October)

  28. If you ask me, 2/3 months

It depends on if you are planning on doing a transfer window in the winter. Also people may want to make manager changes during the season if allowed. I would say every 2/3 months.

  32. Not bad start for Benfica so far ! Couple of good wins in there and some tough fixtures.

Personally I would say every 3 months Eg: (July,Aug,Sept) (Oct,Nov,Dec) (Jan,Feb,Mar) (Apr,May,June)That way the winter window is in there aswell as summer window.
    Linecoigne1998 likes this.

  33. Great start with Chelsea. I wasn't expecting such a good start after not making any signings but it looks like keeping the squad together is working well.

Personally I would go every 2/3 months. People will want to keep a track of how they are doing and try and make changes during the season. The winter transfer window will be important for a lot of people as well.

As I'm quite busy at the moment, I was thinking of just uploading the game save and you guys could take a look at your club's progress? Sorry, I just really don't have the time to get all the screenshots together and post them all from October to December and then do the write up for it. If you're all okay with me just posting the game save then let me know and I'll do that the update after that will go back to the format I had for the first one as I'll be less busy with work

Just noticed now, that the disciplinary rules are quite insane in this one.
One match ban for 2 yellow cards.
Two match ban for the next yellow card.
Four match ban for an additional yellow card (that is 4 yellow cards in total)
For every one yellow card you get after that, you get another 4 match ban!
At the moment, most of my first team squad are banned

Any chance of that being moderated slightly? ^^

Hmm, I swear I thought I changed those in the database? I'm not too sure how I could moderate them tbh like actually edit them in-game so what would you suggest?

Not sure there is much you can do really. I guess we’ll just have to build really large squads

I could introduce some kind of rule to remove bans in a squad if there's more than like 5 suspensions for example? Idk just an idea

Or just remove all suspensions at the 1st of January or something. To reset the whole thing.

In a very open season, Arsenal are still the team to beat. They keep impressing, and have opened up a 3 point gap down to 2nd place Barcelona. The chasing pack is large, however, as Chelsea, PSG, Atletico Madrid, Man City and Bayern are all still in the fight.
There seems to be a big divide however, from Real Madrid in 8th, to Leverkusen in 12th. Every team from Leverkusen and down to bottom-of-the-table Porto are still fighting to avoid relegation. At the moment, Dortmund and Roma seem to join Porto in going down, but there is still a lot to play for.

In the player stats, Luis Suarez is the current top goalscorer, ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has managed an impressive 9 goals for relegation candidates Dortmund. Mesut Ozil heads the assists charts, and Manuel Neuer unsurprisingly leads in the fight for the golden glove.
In terms of average rating, this is the year of the playmaker or central defender. The top 10 consists of only CAM's or CB's, with an exception of Philipp Lahm at 10th place. Messi is the head of the bunch here, miles above anyone else.

Well, that's it for half the season! If you have any changes to be made, get in touch with Linecoigne, who will also supervise the January transfer window! Game Save was in an earlier post.
