Until last season they had done nothing. But last year 3 teams got to the last 32 of the Europa League and 2 this time so will be interesting to see if especially the old firm can kick on by keeping there youth.

Title number 11 was the most predictable part of our once in a lifetime quadruple. Withe a potential European Super Cup & World Club cup next summer we could be talking about a sextuple!
Celtic spent well and got results for a change as they have the best points return in the save beating us a few times along the way. Rangers nipped into the final Champions League with Morton and Hibs just one point behind. Hibs will be a totally different package next year under Anita. Falkirk were 6th but only 1 point behind Hibs. Hearts have there worst season missing out on the top 6 for the first time. Raith, St Mirren and Hamilton had quiet runs to safety while Dundee's mega fall from grace is complete as they drop into the playoffs as Queen of the South go down to be replaced by Forfar making a return after a short 2 seasons out of the top flight.

I've mentioned it before but it sounds so good i'll say it again. Man Utd win the Premiership by a point from Man City with the London teams well behind.
Thrilling end to the Spanish season as Barcelona win the title on the final day. Real Madrid led on had to head as the final games kicked off but lost there final game and the title. My favorite Spanish team Atletico & Bilbao take 3rd and 4th
Napoli retain there 4th Serie A title in 5 season and joined by AC Milan and Roma in the Champions League. Atalanta, Lazio & Inter get the European spots
Like Napoli Leverkusen win there 4th title in 5 years while Bayern miss out on the Champions League again and Monaco wrestle back the French title and Marseille nab 2nd ahead of PSG. Is the transfer Ban breaking them already?

One of our stars that we were missing was Pesce but his back up came in for him and won the cup with 2 goals that had us in the lead by the 11th minute. Two more south american's Emerson & Viscovich ended up making the game a walkover by the end to move to 54 League cup games unbeaten. This was our most dramatic game in seasons, up there with the Man City Final in fact for thirlling endings that once again showed this teams never say die attitude that keeps me going. With 4 minutes to go we were in the same hole we found ourselves at half time 2 goals behind then a lifeline from Pesce. We got the ball back right away and bombed forward and Klein who has had a poor month pulled us level and when i'd mentally settled for the point sub Hoekstra struck the winning goal for our hardest earned 3 points of the year.

The race for the Golden boot is as open as it has been in years. Klein is only scoring a goal a game and his injurys through the season has given several other contenders a shot at his title. Vaughan especially deserves at least 1 golden boot title after scoring over 200 SPL goals and 5 top 3 finishes.

    Out
Our first major sale of the season is Mauro Rodriguez. Possibly a top 10 player at the club but always behind Viscovich and Tsaousakis i decided to drop him from all footballing activitys to try and force him out after he turned down a few offers in the summer. With hindsight i really really should have tried to sell him before the embargo as i could have trebled the £11m i got from Quanjian. Still a £5m profit but the biggest mistake i've made with the clear out before the embargo as now any position we have a lot of depth the wages are not to bad. Pawel Zmuda never got a work permit and i've saved 6 months wages by giving him away now and 4 players leave on loan

The scoreline flatter how nervous the first 70 minutes of the match had been. Once we made our changes MOTM Stelios Tsaousakis who has probably outperformed Viscovich as a second striker gave us the lead. Klein's final goal of the season made it comfortable and McLaughlins o'g was the final nail in Celtic coffin. Were still 21 wins of Celtic's total of 38 wins.

Celtic and Rangers both improved there totals from last season and positive signs of a more competitive SPL are there at least. Shame we have only 1 player over 30. Morton finish 4th and best of the rest again 7 points clear of Hibs and Hearts, the first time in a while they both make the top 6. Hamilton and Falkirk could have just as easily been in the top 6 instead, its all very close between them. That left the bottom 4 miles adrift even so Inverness were cast adrift at the bottom all season and are worthy of bottom spot while St Mirren were the weakest of the other remaining teams and fall into the playoff meaning little Forfar and Raith will be in the top flight again next season

Quick update on the former SPL sides. Partick, Motherwell, Dunfermline, St Johnstone and Ross County are in the Championship and will be joined by League 1 winner Kilmarnock. Dundee Utd however are stuck in mid table in League 1. That would be a fun save if it was to start now. Ayr become the biggest team to drop out of the league loosing to Vale of Leithen in the playoff.

The Manchester teams rivalry is taking over the Premiership and this time it was Citys turn to take the title by 3 points despite United only loosing 2 games all seasons. No Change in the top 6 or 7 teams after 15 season
You cant see it but Leverkusen defended the German title joined in the top 3 by Dortmund and Bayern Munich. Sounding very familiar also!
Napoli own Serie A winning it by there biggest margin yet. Roma as usual make the Champions league with Inter Milan in tow. Juve slump all the way to 11th, Maybe trying to get relegated to buy a new super team.
No final day slip ups for Real Madrid this year as they hold of Barcelona and a welcome return from Atletico in our first 3 way title fight for a while.

This season Pesce and Micael drove us with Klein suffering a rare case of less goals than games. Still he's only 32 and lewis Vaughan hass shown there's still a few more seasons for Klein to work on his legacy. Silva in defense is the only major change from last year fitting in like a glove as Oyarzun, Tsaousakis and Lopez are comfortably good enough to start in this team and poor Douglas is getting struck with a injury bug that could threaten his long term aim of being our no1 striker but actually our end of season report told us our 3 mian strikers totaled 13 injurys in the 10 months we played football

A quiet first half was blown into life with Jamie McLean's first international goal that for Turkey was a blessing in disguise, Our usual solid defense turned into a bunch of thugs giving up 5 yellow cards before Turkey equalised with 20 minutes to go. Neither team could take advantage from there and a point shared means we'll probably need goals in the next 2 games to nick top spot

Nervous about facing Klein for the first time but his poor performance showed how keen he was to get back to Aberdeen for pre season and his team mates must have been just as keen after giving away a 4th minute o'g followed by a Connolly double as his hunt for the golden boot kicks on. He is currently splitting two English forwards

I can confirm its easier to be full of praise for your own intelligence after a win but this was a tactical masterstroke. France put everything through the middle so i took out there midfield with 3 ball winners in the middle of the park and using our 138 caps worth of experience on the left wing to formulate chances, We ended up totally canceling out any form of French attack which managed 1 shot off the post in 90 minutes. We hardly made any chances ourselves but it was the fresh legs of Douglas closing down the French defense that nicked the ball off a knackered error prone CB and slotting it in for the games only goal and a small measure of revenge for our Semi Final defeat 4 years ago

We tamed the French but Mexico were set up to beat us and were the better team for the first 100 minutes utterly dominating possession and chances on goal. For the last 20 minutes however our superior fitness showed as Middleton and Macauley took control of the game creating several late opportunities with captain Dickson missing several headed chances and both sides ended the 120 minutes goaless. The first penaltys must have settled the nerves for us as late sub and 23rd man in the squad Paul Hay scored his pen and Mexico's MOTM Rodrigo Escobedo missed his Despite Douglas missing his penalty we scored the rest to reach a second successive semi final

Both managers took risks with semi fit players and it worked for us but not for Spain. Jose Ramon gave the home team the lead early on and of course we feared the worst but before any rash decisions were made Rob Cooper pulled the game level. with the rest of the first half ending as a stalemate. Second half was the usual tactical changes breaking up play until halfway through the half former Aberdeen team mates Joel Gomez & Alan Granger collided and the home side had a penalty to take the lead. MOTM to this point Javier Arrondo missed the penalty not long after Martin Neil had come on to kick him out of the game, did it make the difference? who knows but 10 minutes later the now top scorer Jack Connolly struck what turned out to be the game winning goal just beating the offside trap to put Scotland into the World Cup Final and sending Spanish manager Rafa Benitez into retirement with a top 4 finish

Jeez this is a heart wrenching result to end the day! Cant fault the team they did exactly what i asked and snuffed out England. We tried to play it like the French game and cancel out England's 3 main outputs but over focused on this taking away from our own attacking abilities not that it looked that way as Reiss Nelson all but secured the golden boot after 11 minutes Not deterred we got a hold of the game and Jack Connolly had it 1-1 at the break. We came out blazing in the second half before loosing our way in the subs phase as the game was dying a death sub and Dons Defender Andrew Miller took out Steve Holmes giving away the penalty that Dele Ali struck home to match his former club mate Harry Kane in scoring the winner in a world cup final.

Running a similar save with Hibs, winning nine league titles in a row and the Europa League but not been winning the leagues by such emphatic margins and haven't got further than the Champions League quarter finals so congratulations on that. Mind you, I have been having to compete with a strong Rangers side that's reached three Europa League Semi-Finals themselves.

Just curious what the highest wages your allowing your top players to earn to keep them away from other clubs. I've given a couple of my top players £80k p/w to tie them down long term, but I think it may be a bit much and give myself maybe a bit too much work to do in the transfer market to keep making money.

After the 1st CL win Hock and Henrique went upt o£100k with Klein just behind. After the current deals were all pretty much in place. Henrique is one of the best MC in the world and were a different team without him so didnt mind selling the farm to keep him. Helped we made a huge profit so i could get that wages. His wages are however the difference between us being in a solid profit and breaking even. Were mega overpaying Xavi Garcia who i thought would be a world beater but has been a mega financial bust. and if i could sell Viscovich i would as he's behind Stelios these days.

That's reassuring, looks like I'm on track.

Would be curious as well to see Matthais Klein's overall stats in your best eleven page if you don't mind, they seem pretty ridiculous reading through. I've got Jason Cummings on 421 goals in 649 games, but I'd imagine that Klein would dwarf even that.

I cant believe we lost this and the open goal of a chance we had to win the group. We even led the game for goodness sake but after beating them twice this year already i was quite confident it was just part of the corse. Until of course Jordi Pascual got what turned out to be the winning goal for Spain with 15 minutes to go. Payback for the results against Spanish teams in the past 6 months i guess.

We pull 15 points clear and that will let us focus 100% on the Champions league games coming up. Rangers close the gap to Rangers and we might get a fight for 2nd place. Hearts and Hibs have some work to do to get back into the top 6 while Forfar and St Mirren still look to be in big trouble.

Speaking of Hibs i forgot that they gt a New Manager in December, Former Man Utd Wing Back and Killie boss Matteo Darmian

    Transfer Window
French 2nd Division moneybags ended Adam Smith's 15 years at Aberdeen. After being handed a starting spot at a young age he's spent our golden period as a back up midfielder more often 3rd choice. He asked for a move in the summer but no offers came in so a similar request came in late December and Montpellier came up with £11m, well below the asking price but with very little money moving around it was a offer i couldnt turn down with so many MC kids coming through.

Hearts & Hibs seem to be the first teams to drop off without transfers despite Hibs clearly having the best regens in the past 10 seasons. Bottom two are again cast adrift and will fight with themselves for bottom spot or the play-off. Forgot about the old firm. Only one can be in the Champions League qualifiers next season so whoever ends up 3rd will be in the Europa League

Despite being the better team it took till the last kick of the game for Tsaousakis to complete the domestic treble for the 4th season in row. Motm was our back up wing back to sum up how the team overall had a off day.

Safe to say despite our lack of goals in the final it didnt stop us scoring a record 21 goals in our 5 games. Helps that the only top flight opposition we faced was the Old Firm

Aberdeen finish on 109 points our best total in a few seasons. No signs of the domination coming to a end yet but the key career players will all be in there 30's next season. Rangers are the clear 2nd force in the league at the moment backing up a good European run with wrestling 2nd spot and a Champions league spot off Celtic. Both were miles clear of Scotlands 4th force Morton while Falkirk and Hamilton swap with Hearts & Hibs to reach the top 6. At the bottom its been St Mirren & Forfar adrift with Forfar more often than not in last spot and thats where they finished with St Mirren heading to the Playoffs once again.

Man City retain the title and are clearly the top team in England at the moment. West Ham broke into the top 6, not with there kids as you may expect with there academy but a very middle aged squad
The Dortmund rebuilding job is complete as they grab there first title in 19 seasons with the dethroned Leverkusen in 2nd and Hoffenheim getting the final Champions League spot. Bayern drop into the Europa League with Schalke and Hamburg.
Inter also return to prominence with there 1st title in 8 seasons after they and AC Milan both got 84 points it came down to a head to head record. Roma were only 2 points behind and 2 further back in a extremely close seasons was former champions Napoli
In Spain however some things never change. Real win the title by 7 points as Barcelona & Atletico finish tied for 2nd. Valencia suddenly appear as a force in 4th spot just a point behind and another familiar stat is Bilbao featuring a 33 year old scoring 22 goals a season. Anyone remember Villalibre??
