I've seen a few more trailers and I'm still on the fence, I'll probably just wait till you buy it

  2. I lost all faith in Bioware, they stopped making RPGs and started making masturbatory teenage power fantasies, interspecies soft porn included.

  3. Yeah, so first Andromeda reviews look quite terrible... 6-7 scores from mainstream sites, and we all know the real ratio on those is from 6 to 10.

    Ouch.

    Ouch.
I had a feeling this may happen

  5. Even the ones that praise it are saying garbage story. The only disagreement seems to be whether or not good action sequences balance that out.

  6. Still gonna play it though, never missed Bioware game yet. But I'll wait for discount I guess, and grab Battle Brothers meanwhile instead, everything I read about it is exciting.

  7. Animations on the side, I think "Mass Effect" in games name ruins it success and gets more bad rep. So much to live up and please everyone. I will play it and probably enjoy it. First 10h have been great. Probably wont live up to OT, but still get out the enjoyment of what it offers.
People just like to be too negative and people who are enjoying and playing it are not on the internet commenting it.

The highly praised combat is good, but for me it seems the squad AI is dumbed down and i miss the option to control them bit more. In OT who you included into squad was important, now i feel I am the only one out there with brains and playing medic for my team. Hope some improvements come.
I wont give it any rating as 10h is not enough to see the story , characters and new worlds.

  8. I might come out looking like an a$$hole, but i'm kinda glad to see Andromeda being ripped apart by everyone. Still mad at those last 15 minutes of ME3. And it's being, what, 5, 6 years. Bioware has definitively lost their way after DAII. Something happened there. Every game that was worked by them previously was amazing, story and gameplay wise. Then came dumbing down for wider audiences and quality of games has fallen drastically.
epic terrorist and Tyton like this.

  9. I never had much hopes for Andromeda to be quite honest. My biggest AAA hope this year is Prey. Seems to be something similar to Alien Isolation but with more RPG elements.

Dont think everyone have been ripping it apart. The most vocals are the ones being negative and so on. It just seems that people are so happy that MEA has obvious faults and they can rip it so much. Considering that they didint seem to hype it so much up, thats more done by the community.
But still dont you think having 10h trial, what cuts off from campaing certain point gives you that much info to be subjective on reviewing it? Lets be honest that all OT games didint have very great game start. It got better the more you played it.

I dont want to sound like die hard fan here protecting it, but some more objective looking should be done. They took huge risk in going forward with ME and even starting it in new galaxy.
Noone can talk their way out of MEA animation and voice faults. They can truly hurt some peoples playing experience and immersion. If it is so big game breaker for you then by all means skip it.

Lot has come down also to people having very huge standards for games and Bioware regression. We can ques that EA has some part to this, but cant be certain. They bought BioWare 2007, when they didint got their hands on ME1, but after that losing Drew Karpyshyn, who is amazing writer, during ME2 left them a deep hole that messed ME3 up (my opinion). Havent played DA, but as I understand that game has also cone down i every version. It is truly sad that this is happening with them.
They might even lost more people because EA involvement or they didint like where BioWare was going, but it has left them cap in their company that is noticeable in the games they make.

Can it be end of BioWare or the heat goes down, patches comes out and people see what truly lies in Andromeda.
    Lets wait and see.
