Have a Man Utd save which now i'm into 2021.. Dont know if it's the game i'm getting bored of or just that save.. tried starting a new game with my club Barnsley but i've got them promoted a few times before.

Anyone reccomend anything? Maybe a new game to start or what not?

Cheers.

resign and take over another club,
if you become too dominant the game could seem boring, i had a save with DInamo in 2030 and didn't get bored cuz i always set myself some goals or tried breaking a few records, for example Reals record of 5 CL in a row
you can also start a new game with lots of leagues at a random club and make it a journeyman save, staying at a club max 3 4 years

I was going to do that but with my Man Utd squad i have quality players, quality backroom and quality training, everything is set up. If i was to leave i'd need about a £500M Budget to get the squad i have!

Not sure what to do! Definitely think i need a new challenge just not sure what!

wouldn't it be challenging to try and be better then such a perfect Man Utd??

Yeah it probably would be, but i'd want to stay in England to make sure i do better than them lol.. but i'm not sure if i'd just get bored again by staying in England..

I was in a simular situation and i used FMTRE toedit a club in the lowest active league in my save (BSP). I changed their name to a local team of mine, changed the name of their stadium/icons/legends etc

I've only recently stopped playing that save, but i played it with a good few months after the edit as i got gripped by taking a local team of mine right to the top!

Maybe something like that would rekindle your interest

Take a break from fm, that helped me when i got bored, and when I've come back I'm enjoying it more than ever.

Are you getting bored of your players, same tactics and teams week in week out? I do.. thats why i changed to a different team, and try new formations, tactics and players out, worked for me.

I dont think it's the tactics Ian because i'm proud of how i play footballe etc, i like the way how i play. I might just need a break from FM for a few weeks. Think everyone does once in a while!

Indeed.

One thing you could ( unless already doing it) is to start a save with a team like Doncaster and use the TC settings, changing strategy and using shouts as a reaction to what you see on the pitch, only using tactics that suits the circumstances in a realistic way. Setting up a tactical philosophy and use it throu out the save and getting , training players to become the player types needed ( think wenger as an example, Allardyce as another, etc)

How about playing one of the challenges that can be found under the appropriate section on this site. I can't vouch for how good the current challenges are, but Pompey_Dan set up some really superb challenges a year or two ago. Some of these are only half a season long, so don't take too long, but just long enough to get you enthusiastic again.

Piginho - good idea but i dont think challenges would help, when i start a new save i like to think i will be at the club long term etc, i plan ahead, make sure my youth team and training is in order.. however, i may give it a try for a change.

It's weird, i still want to play FM so much it's just when i find myself on the game i'm getting rather bored.
I have a save with Everton, currently in 2015.. might start to go back on that game and see how i do, that's a challenge it self with the most tightest owner on the game i think :p
