(Please note that my accomplishments at my first club: Shanghai Shenhua, are not recorded on the HoF, because of a computer issue where I backed up my save, but not my Hall of Fame file.)

Prologue

My professional footballing career came to a sudden end due to a tragic car accident. I had been enjoying a largely successful youth spell with Wrexham as a goalkeeper to pay the bills. I knew I had to find something else to do, but I wanted to stay in the sport. My first non-playing role in the industry was as the agent of Mr. Nicolas Anelka. I don't know how I talked myself into that role, it seams like forever ago now.

During my time with Anelka, I met the staff at Shanghai Shenhua. I found it to be an enthrawling club, the atmosphere around the camp (and yes, at the time it was just a camp, as the Hongkou Stadium was being renovated) was very positive and it seamed like a very close knit and unbreakable staff team.

Of cource what kind of football manager story would this be if the group didnt fall apart. (mwahahaha) Jean Tigera's speradic personality ment that he disepeared for months on end in pre-season so the board decided it was time for a change. Desperate and needing leadership at their fall from grace, they picked the only guy in the camp who couldn't speak chinese. That's right... Anelka. But then later when he actually wanted to play some football, they picked me.

July 2011 - November 2016

Alright, now that the "storytelling" is out of the way, lets get down to the FM! I'm going to semi-blaze through my "Journey so far" because I have little to no screenshots to prove the little details, like my issues with Anelka and Joel Griffiths' unreasonable wage demands, and top scorers of the 2010s. What I can show is that my favorite team, Liverpool, finnally won a PL title, yay.

As for my accomplishments at Shenhua, they are as follows: Chinese FA Cup (2013 and 2015), Chinese FA Cup Runners Up (2011), Chinese Super Cup (2016), Chinese Super Cup Losers (2014), Chinese Super League 3rd Placed (2016), Asian Champions League Runners Up (2016), *Chinese Manager of the Year* (2016).

I also had a VERY unsuccesfull spell as the Manager of the Chinese u19s, VERY unsuccessful, as with my first senior international job, which will come later, we won't discuss this in detail.

During my time in China, I gained a little experience in Chinese football. Guangzhou are unplayable, five and a half years of the Chinese Super League being active, and they won it five years. They don't seam too hard when played in induvidual matches but their longevity is insane. Go up against them at the tail end of the season, as I had to in 3 cup finals, and don't expect to win without a fight. During my time at Shenhua, they became the first Chinese team to reach the Asian Champions League finals since it's AFC reformation. The second team... were Guangzhou... in that same year. So yea, I was in no mood for an all Chinese final, and even the mighty regen striker, Jure Struna, was unable to save us from the thrashing in Korea, we were destined for.

I had restablized the economy of Shenhua, and even put in youth enhancements and a whole new staffing team, a system where the assistant manager was also the captain, RL Shanghai local Yu Tao, who created a masterful link from the management to the players... it was time to leave. I took no pleasure in terminating my five year contract which still had four years left on it but my plane trip back to the british isles was very pleasent and my home sickness was coming to an end.

Team 2: Ipswich - Npower League 1

Partly because they were kind of a fall from grace team, and partly because they were the only job available. Puddy's next destination was Portman Road, as he signed for the Tractor Boys!

Ok so I arrived late into the season as the Chinese season runs a summer schedule and League 1 runs the traditional English schedule that I'm sure you're all familiar with. We were out of the play-off spots and obviously after getting relegated we were expected to go straight back up.

Using my tactics and the players that were available to me, we climbed our way into the play-off spots and achieved a respectable 5th place finish. The team was led by real life league striker Harry Kane, Welsh superstar Steve Morrison, and then Captain Joe Wright.

We suffered play-off heartbreak to the incredibly high spirited AFC Wimbledon (proudly sponsored by SI ;])

Leg 1
Ipswich 3 - 4 Wimbledon

Leg 2
Wimbledon 3 - 0 Ipswich

As you can see, Wimbledon were just an unstoppable as they were in the regular season. They do seam to climb the ranks quickly in the early decades, before making a fail stab at the prem and sinking back in to 2nd/3rd tier obscurity.

So the 2016/17 season ends with play-off heartbreak, but a respectable turn around and a team that actually respect me is a very good prospect for a second season.

We plowed through the second season really hard. There really weren't many signings I just think the quality of teams dropped. We finished top of the table 13 points clear. There's not much to talk about for this season or the next one, it just seamed too easy, which might have been one of the reasons I decided to leave.

I was considering sticking with the Tractor Boys for a season in the Premiership, but a job offer came in from one of my favorite clubs in the history of FM. So I let my 3 year contract I signed with the club expire and boarded a plane to the cold North.

Achievements at Ipswich: Johnstone's Paint Trophy 2018, Npower League 1 2018, Npower League Championship 2019,
*Npower League 1 Manager of the Year*
And various manager of the month awards.

During this time I had a brief spell in charge of Guatemala, I didn't win a game and it is seriously not worth mentioning.
