1. Team
2. Reason
3. Key player
4. What do you think about the team.
Just want to hear you thoughts.
Quick question:
Does football(soccer)need hawk eye(goal line technology).

1.Italy
2.Favorite team...and there will be another scandal they seem to play rather well after a big scandal
3.Balotelli if he can get his mind in the game
4.They are my favorite team
5.Prob not cause it will slow down the game...soon it will be like american football

1.England
2.I'm a patriotic idiot ;)
3.Rooney/Joe Hart, both legends.
4.Favorite national team!
5.Of course it does!

1. Brazil
2. A few. Playing at home(sure helped Portugal in 2004, until the final). Having some excellent prospects that will reach the age of 22-23.
3. Probably Lucas Moura. He's better built than Neymar, and more skillful than Hulk.
4. If they'll get a nice coach(don't have the best opinion about Menezes) they'll win it.
Answer: Yes! It would help correct some of the errors in the game, and it's almost impossible for the ref to clearly decide if it's a goal or not. Also, get rid of the 5th and 6th refs(behind the goal)...they seem useless.

1. Spain
2. Just can't see anyone stopping them personally
3. Fabregas/David Silva
4. They're just dominant, boring or not.
Answer: Yes, however they could bring it in similar to cricket, where each team has 1 or 2 reviews, and the referee can call for it if he needs to.

1. Spain/Brazil
2. Cannot Seperate them come 2014, would be a brilliant match.
3. None really, both full of amazing talent.
4. Both teams have a brilliant youth players coming through, play football they way it should be and will be hard to beat.
Just want to hear you thoughts.
Quick question:
Does football(soccer)need hawk eye(goal line technology).

Yes, its simple and takes no time at all ( look at the tennis, decision in seconds ), they use it in almost every sport that needs it, yet football is lagging behind.. Too many costly errors have been made by not having it.

1. Germany
2. They have shown potential and I feel that they will finally step up and win the 2014 World Cup.
3. Mesut Ozil- a playmaking genius who will be in his prime, he will pull the strings.
4. They are a talented, entertaining and well-drilled team with strength in depth. Assuming Schweinsteiger and Gomez provide experience I think this German team could go all the way.

Personally I would love to see some sort of technology incorporated however if it slows down the game it could have a detrimental effect on the entertainment value. If it was up to me replace the goal line official with a camera and have someone watching that and they can make the decision.

1. Spain2. Their football style is brilliant and if they continue like that they will remain unbeaten3. Thiago Alcantara (the new Xavi/Iniesta)4. The perfect final would be Brazil/Spain in the Maracana Stadium with Spain winning this match.

Cant believe some people dont want goal line technology?

Obviously never been affected by it and cost your team big time.

1. Brazil
2. Home advantage and crazy amounts of good players coming through at the moment. Neymar, Ganso, Moura
3. Anyone of the above i reckon.
4. Yes, definately. Why its not already used is beyond me. Its unbelieveably simple to do but FIFA are going about it like it is a monumental task that requires a lot of complex technology. A camera on the goal line is all that is required. Take a leaf out of American football and give each team a certain number of challenges like 2. The captain can request the challenge. Ref talks to his buddy upstairs. Goal or no goal?. Result in seconds.

Besides it wouldn't slow the game down as much as everyone thinks. The controversy and arguing with officials after dodgy calls takes up just as much time as it would to just check an instant replay.

1. Brazil
2. It's in their backyard....i'll be shocked if they don't win it
3. Neymar
4. Every single player is just so skillful

Defo need goal line tech....would just take couple of seconds to alert the ref if the ball went over the line or not

1. Greece
2. We won euro 2004 in Portugal, didn't we? It's only natural we win the world cup in Brazil which is Portugal's offspring (lamest reason ever, I know)
3. Kyriakos Papadopoulos
4. We seriously have absolutelty no chance of winning. This team is painful to watch

Big NO on goal line technology. Referee's errors are a huge part of this game and it makes it all the more interesting. Not knowing whether a decision was correct and having the option to discuss it afterwards is major attraction for me. Imagine if england's goal vs germany in the 1966 world cup final could have definately and undeniably been ruled on or off. Would this match present the same interest for footbal fans up to this day?

Portugal
Just to screw the brazillians that hate us.
Ronaldo.
Of course I want goal-line tech :)

1. Spain
2. Pretty much same exact dominant team, xavi and puyol are the only players that might be too old (doubt xavi will be though)
3. iniesta
4. Absolutely.....the argument that the game is better because you can argue about incorrect decisions is ridiculous in my opinion

1. Brazil
2. Home advantage, amazing young players coming through Ganso, Neymar, Lucas Moura etc
3. Any of the above, most likely Neymar.
Yes, constant errors in the game need to corrected asap, as it has resulted in teams losing important matches. There is the element of the game being slowed down as a result of goal-line technology , although we must compramise as we can't have it both ways and I think that having the technology to confirm any suspicions would be a great benefit as it be would just fairer for both teams. These slight stoppages in the game are something we must accept in order to see improvements in the game.

1. Italy
2. most effective playing style in my opinion
3. Riccardo Montolivo
4. just think they are very talented

Yes to goal line technology. It works in Ice Hockey. Play would need to continue until the ball goes out of play so players would need to be informed they need to play on, once the ball goes out it is the referee/assistant ref decision to go to video or not. However, if the ref gives a decision ( goal or no goal) when the event occurred then the ref decision stands and video tech is not looked at.

It could be quite complicated about the rules about it and it will give the players another decision to argue about but I think it is necessary unless they can incorporate a device into the ball that can sense when the ball crosses the line.

1. San Marino... or Spain, whatever

2. Because why not? Very dominant side and while Brazil have the home field advantage Spain have the experience and the teamwork to do the job.

3. Iniesta

4. They get the job done, though they need to show more play like in the Euro final rather than the other games, i.e. create a lot of opportunities rather than getting a 1 goal lead and passing it around till the clock runs out.

5. Absolutely yes to goal line technology. The argument that mistakes make the game more interesting to watch is absolutely ridonkulous.

Goal line technology would be brilliant. It would add excitement if its a major decision!

Cool I've never had an argument of mine described as ''ridonkulous'' - I like that word. Anyway I didn't say that the game is better becuse it's flawed.. I just said that I draw a greater satisfaction from it because it's flawed. The same reason you draw greater satisfaction from driving with traction control/ESP off: it is not right, not advisable but still more satisfactory. I just couldn't watch a game with a perfect ref, but that's just me and maybe I have a totally wrong sense of what is good and what not. In sunday's final sometime in the second half bonucci clearly stops ramos header with his hand and the ref won't give the penalty. I believe he had seen the play but realised that if spain went 3-0 up the game would lose all interest. It's that type of error (or choice) that makes me enjoy the game more as it is
