U.C.D hold out for draw

Monaghan United 1-1 U.C.D
Michael Isichei (90+1)

After a 1-1 draw at Century Homes Park against Monaghan United, a key member of the University College Dublin side claimed that his team were fortunate to escape from this Irish Premier Division fixture with a draw.

The first incident of note was on 73 minutes as Monghan United were denied claim by Conor Murphy for a penalty. With the game nearing and end, it was Michael Isichei who scored a well timed close ranger finish to give Monaghan United the lead on 91 minutes but a last gasp penalty for U.C.D helped them ****** a late equaliser and take a point which looked beyond doubt a few minutes before the foul had occurred.
