View attachment 271972This was aproject that I knew would take time and with having to sit around waiting forFM13 to come out I decided to start a career with Norwich City. I hope on thiscareer I can achieve Champions League glory whether that is with Norwich orwhether it is with another club but my main aim for the first season is to keepus in the league and maybe even go on a nice little cup run.

When Ilooked at my squad I agree that it could do for a little bit more strength indepth but it doesn’t need massive strengthening if I am to achieve my firstseason aim to keep us in the Premier League. I was disappointed to find that Ihad nothing in my transfer budget but all that meant to me is that I had tosell. I hope I can pick up a few free transfers and maybe some loans but wewill just see how things plan out. There aren’t many players that I feel wouldfit into my squad after looking but I might stumble across someone who does fitthe bill then will try and bring them in, but in previous saves I don’t likemaking rash decisions on players I buy I make sure my scouts have properly hada look at them to decide if they are worth the money there club wants me toplay but obviously starting with no budget I will have to wait to sell to buy.

I will bedoing monthly updates on this career and my next update will be after mypre-season with information on how my pre-season went, my transfers and my preferredfirst 11.

As this ismy first proper story that I have attempted to do I would be grateful if youcould comment or like with tips and constructive criticism if need be.

After not a bad pre-season going into the season I am feeling pretty confident. Every team we have played we have looked very good on the break and look strong in defence with a couple of quick full backs. These are how my results went.

I would have liked to sign a few more players with a bit more quality but for my first season aims I feel these players will help me achieve safety. I got in quite a few funds through sales but the board didn’t seem too keen to allow me to have much of them funds and quality comes at a cost which I was a bit disappointed with but I am hopeful we can have a good season.

Will be following this mate. Not seen a Norwich story yet - could be interesting.

August
First game of the season brought us up against a Blackburn Rovers side at Ewood Park and it was a match that I saw was a great opportunity for us to get our first points on the board. But as every game in this decision it was going to be tough.
Full time- Blackburn 1-1 Norwich
Goal scorer- David Fox (8)
Overall it was probably the most likely result at the start of the match but on the match stats Blackburn probably deserved the 3 points on the board but I was delighted to get our first point of the season but next game we knew was going to be tough with a match against title contenders Manchester City.

This was definitely going to be one of our toughest games all season so I wanted to see how we faired against the big boys just to see how good my squad really was.
Full time- Norwich 3-2 Manchester City
Goal scorers- Simeon Jackson (10, 59 pen), Steve Morison (35)
I am absolutely delighted with this result. I didn’t expect it at all. We played counter attacking because we knew they were going to throw everything at us as they probably saw us as an easy 3 points but we certainly proved that we were no push over and if we can perform like that against all the other so called big teams I can see us getting a few points of them. Fantastic performance by all the lads very promising start to the season.





Our first game in the league cup gave us a home tie against league 2 side Port Vale. A game that I expect we should win easily as I am playing a very strong team as this is a competition that I hope to do very well in.
Full time- Norwich 3-0 Port Vale
Goal scorers- Grant Holt (25, 70), Anthony Pilkington (47)
Easy victory in the end, dominated the game. Only bad thing that came out of the game is that it will give me a bit of a selection headache as many of the players that played performed exceptionally.

Next up is Liverpool at Anfield another stern test where we will need to perform well to gain anything from the match. We know that Liverpool are probably going to dominate the possession its just up to us to try and catch them on the counter attack and hopefully get something from the game.
Full time- Liverpool 2-0 Norwich
At the end of the day Liverpool deserved all 3 points. The boys didn’t deserve too badly but we were just over powered by a better Liverpool side.


Not a bad month to be fair we got a brilliant result against a tough City side who will be up at the top or thereabouts come the end of the season more than likely. The Blackburn result was a good point away from home but I was disappointed with the Liverpool result. I’m very happy that we have progressed to the next round in the carling cup. Hope for much of the same next month team is starting to look good though and clicking.

Yeah I thought that wasn't really ever in my first team plans so I transfer listed him and Wolves came alone with a £3M offer which I managed to negotiate up to £4M so was very happy.
 
looking good mate, I'll deffo be following this, good result against city, shame you couldn't get in a couple more trasnfers but looks like u don't need them! KIU mate :)
 
After a poor result to end August we came into another tough match against a strong Arsenal side. But we had home advantage and I was quietly confident that we could maybe pick up a sneaky point because we have been putting out good performances at Carrow Road. We know that they are going to dominate the possesion stats its just up to us to catch them on a counter attack.

Full time- Norwich 5-3 Arsenal

Wow fantastic result. What a performance all players performed brilliantly!! Arsenal did only play average but we capatalised fantastically and came away with 3 points and we could have had more goals! Korey Smith had an awesome game by far the best player.

Next game brought us up against a Wigan side where I fully expected us to pick up all 3 points and I made sure the players knew it. I would be dissapointed if we got anything less than all 3 in this game.

Full time- Wigan 1-1 Norwich

Very dissapointed result. Things weren't helped by Rusell Martin's sending off even though we had a 1-0 lead already through a Boyce own goal. But they equalised in the 80th minute through a Rodellaga peno. Bit dissapointed but in the Prem a points a good point away from home.

Today was the 3rd round of the league cup and we had a good chance of going through to the next round with a tie against Championship side Notts Forest! I played my second string side with a few youngsters playing including debutant Mbaye Niang. Even though I did put my reserves out I was still hoping too advance into the next round.

Full time- Norwich 1-0 Notts Forest

An average performance against a poor Forest side. An own goal won the game for us but they never really threatened our goal. Happy that we are in next round but we will have to perform much better against better opposition.

Next game was a home match against Stoke. Stoke are a very physical side but I still felt we could match them and pick up all the points.

Full time- Norwich 0-1 Stoke

A typical Stoke goal from a set piece that we failed to defend. It was a game that probably both teams deserved a point but at the end of the day Stoke took there chance and we didnt take ours. Thats how things go in football sometimes but we have started the season quite well so I'm happy.
