I wasn't quite sure if this was a dream! I was hoping for a quick job but to manager FCUM is pretty much every kid's dream.

Sky Sports: What will you first steps as manager be?

• My first steps as FCUM were a tough one, and I was not backed much by the board, unfortunately. I was given £2.8k wages (p/w) and £0 transfer budget, so I had to work with limited resources. Signing free agents was going to be my best option.
• As I was a new manager and a low reputable club, I decided to keep my current staff besides hiring 1 new scout on low wages. I needed all the help I can get.

Transfers

I did a little research in-game and went and looked through the free agent filters for the very best players I could find, most of whom were on Non-contract basis'. With little to work with, it took a lot of negotiations, many of which were unsuccessful.

I could not afford to loose many players either, already having a thin squad, I kept all the players in my squad.

Pre-Season
I didn't arrange any extra pre season friendlies and as per normal, allowed my assistant to take control of them as I was busy dealing with more important things, such as transfers. The results were as follows:

First game

It's always nice to have a good start to the season, especially with an entirely new squad, and with all the debutants (3 on the scoresheet) I was very happy with this result.
