Director of Football

Hi,

I've got a few questions about the director of football.
1) What attributes link to negotiating and transfers?
2) Has anyone found anyone decent?
3) Could you make a scout or coach a reasonable director of football?

I always look for good scout with high man managment stats mate i have tried commoli and cantona both were good especially at getting rid of unwanted players.

I hired Cantona as a director and he was fu*kin *****. After signing 2 coaches for positions that I already had filled (and they were worse) I stripped him of all his powers and terminated his contract after 2 seasons. Waste of money.

If you're interested in the training/coaching side of things.....don't bother. As for letting directors sign players.....whats the point in playing Footie Manager if you're not gonna do that yourself?

I found cantona was good at getting rid of players and loaning young players out to good clubs which is what i asked so cant complain.Would never ever let anyone buy players or higher my coaching staff for me NO WAY!

Ah Directors help you get rid of players.....now that actually might be the only useful thing they can do. There is nothing worse that a hanger on that refuses to leave the club.

Kinda regret sacking kung-fu Cantona now.

But don't you only set directors to buy/sell players and not just sell?

I still don't get the point in having Directors do anything. Taking the time to look for specific staff/players will always be better.

they can do both but i just use mine to get rid or loan out youth payers coz i cant be arsed accepting/rejecting all the loan offers lol
