FM13 Editor problem

Each year on FM I create myself and move the player to the team I'm going to start my save as (Sheffield United) but for some reason the Editor changes are not taking any effect? Anyone able to shed any light on what may be wrong? I've tried compressing and not compressing the database file but that makes no difference. Thank you.

I always tweak the names of comps and they worked for me. At the start-up screen for the new game, did it give you the data change files to load. For the rec, I don't compress.

Just edit a player that's already in the game, creating new players doesn't seem to want to work atm.

I have the same problem when creating players, they do not get added to the game even when I select the edited database. All other changes seem to happen, just not new players.

Like someone already said, there's a problem with created players not showing up in the game, the best solution is to edit an already existing player.
