Hi Everyone !! This will be my first story which I'll be posting on FMBase. Hopefully it will be an enjoyable one for me as well as you all.
Being a regular EPL viewer, I always selected an English side to start my story with. This time I was looking for a team outside England, with history and past success with decent resources. While searching for some reason I felt in love with this club from Basque, Real Sociedad. Founded in 1909, they have been Champions of Spain twice in the early 80's and currently considered as a Mid-table team. It will be a huge challenge to break up the Duopoly of Barca and Madrid (which will be long term target), but at least I will try to be among the clubs like Atletico Madrid and Valencia and try to get into Europe in the first few seasons.
As I've had this preference of making a former well-known player as the manager of many of my stories, this will be the same. I selected the Portuguese legend Luis Figo as the manager for this story since I like him as a player and how he handled things and also he has played for both Barca and Madrid. Wouldn't it be lovely when he pips the Spanish giants to the title? (6)
