Looking for a deep lying playmaker/Ball winning midfielder...

Hi, starting forth season with spurs and looking for a deep lying playmaker/ball winning midfielder. Still have sandro who is doing a good job but need somebody incase he gets injured or needs a rest? Did have paul pogba but sold him to reading for 8.5m (not really sure if i should have done that but he was unhappy and in last year of his contract). Was thinking of leitner from dortmund... Poli? Theres a good regen at southampton but they wont accept a penny less than 30m and hes only 17!

Does anybody have any suggestions or gems that could do the job. Have 42m in the kitty but dont want to spend all of it on one player.

how about benat who starts at betis? pretty much a poor mans xavi as his release fee is 17.5 million but he is quality he was my first signing in my bilbao game and hes weel worth the money i play him as a deep lying playmaker with defensive duty and he puts in alot of tackles and then always provides a good pass to start attacking moves, plus he is awesome in dead ball situations giving me loads of assists from corners and a few free kick goals not to mention the odd screamer from range as well ill post some screens of him in my 4th season with bilbao

check out his tackles per game and pass completion rate not bad and he usually gets a couple of key passes a game as well

Yeah, i agree he looks good. Will check him out and see what he's going to cost. He's still playing at Betis on my save.

Adryan for me has been a great deep lying playmaker. For ball winning midfielder, Josip Radosevic, enough said.

Alternatively you could go for:

Yohann Cabaye, Ole Kristian Selnæs, Markus Henriksen or Ruben Yttergård Jenssen as a deep lying playmaker.

Radja Nainggolan or Cheik Tiote as a ball winning midfielder.
