Hi guys. I know a few people are doing the Pentagon Challenge but first I would like to introduce myself. So basically, I tried to do a Lebanese League Football Story but it didn't work out... anyways, I started playing FM since FM12 and I got used to it by FM13 but I still don't consider myself a boss at this game yet even though I'm addicted to it :p.

So basically, this Pentagon Challenge is for fun. I got bored of my Liverpool save and decided why not try the Pentagon Challenge? Now, I will most likely get sacked and it will take a while to win some of the Champions League but you'll never know unless you try.

So I started playing and I finished my pre-season games and decided why not to post it and share it with you guys? The team I'm using and the players, transfers, results, etc. will be revealed in the next post.

Hope you guys like it as I am really looking forward to it :)

oh and I forgot to mention, as my own part of the Pentagon Challenge, AFTER I conquer the 5 continents (IF I do lol :p) then I will try to win the World Cup to make it more fun :D

Leagues I have loaded, team I was hired by.

So these are the Leagues I loaded up:

Africa: South Africa - First 2 Divisions

Europe: England - down to Blue Square Bet N/S
Italy - down to Serie C1
Spain - down to Segunda Division B
Germany - down to 2.Bundesliga

North America: USA - MLS
South America: Brazil - First 2 Divisions
Asia: Australia - A-League
Lebanon - First 2 Divisions

I started as an unemployed manager who's reputation is: Sunday League Footballer.

There were vacant jobs in England (I didn't want to start there), South Africa and Lebanon.

It was a choice between SA and Lebanon and it was definitely SA.
No team from the South African Football Championship (Top Division) wanted me so I had to promote a team before reaching the African Champions League, etc.

Jomo Cosmos and Witbank Spurs were vacant, Jomo Cosmos hired someone else while Witbank Spurs offered me a contract of 1.2K per week, which I accepted.

My objective was to get promoted: I had a transfer budget of 0 pounds, but i had a wage budget of 14K per week.

They were founded in 2000, so they haven't really won anything. Next up I will show my best players, transfers, and pre-season results.

Transfers, Best Players, Club Background.

So all the transfers I made were free transfers, I had a lot of deadwood in my team which could sell for lots but as you can see I only sold 2 players.
Sorry for posting 11 pics at once but I just needed to show you guys my team, etc. My best players were Ralph Matema and Randy Ngobe. Then I signed 2 fantastic players, Gert Schalkwyk and Benedict Vilakazi.

Ralph Matema got 4 goals in 4 in pre-season, and 3 goals in the 1st Cup game of the season, 2 pics showing you his Stats Overview and Form.

The last pics are the club background, facilities, etc. :)

Pre-Season

Pre-Season was good, one disappointing match for me, the loss to M Tigers when they are in the Region 3 Division of South Africa. A win against our reserves, and Highland Parks were good signs of hard work... and a 1-1 draw with University of Pretoria and Black Leopards, which was good since they are in the top division of South Africa.

PLAYER OF PRE-SEASON

RALPH MATEMA

4 Goals in 4 Games, including a hat-trick!

1st Competitive Game, South African 1st Division Cup.

I progress into the next round of the South African First Division Cup!
A sensational 5-1 win of Thanda Royal Zulu FC in which they were considered to be the favourites, I expected a loss by a goal, but to win by 4 goals known as the underdogs I was really proud! Ralph Matema with the hat-trick! This player is magical!

I'll be doing monthly updates and if I find it too long I'll do updates every 3 months :)

New Signing.

I won't be posting news on every single transfer but I decided to show you this Defensive Mid that I got from Thanda Royal Zulu FC. He has the best C/A (Current Ability) in my team at 4 and a half stars. He looks good, hope he does well.

End of September Update.

So I progress to the Final of the South African First Division Cup, and I start off the actual League with a 3-1 loss to Santos Football Club (just got relegated last year so theyre quite good) and I win the next game, and draw the other.

My Player of this month is Patrick Mubayiwa, scored 2 goals and he was great!

Monthly updates will make it too long so I'll make an update every 10 games. :)

I'm giving this a go too. Started with Witbank spurs, first season got knocked out of all the cups in first round, but managed to get into the playoffs, but got hammered by the PSL club. Start of 2nd season, i released a lot of players to get the wage budget under control, the season started poorly with again, knocked out from all cups, and a few loses in the league, but now i'm about just over half way through season, and i'm on a 5 game win streak 8 game no lose.

edit: end of season 2, Just missed out on a play off spot, by just a single goal. Season 3 i had to let go of many players, but i got lots of free transfers in.. unfortunately, squad harmony was really low for the first 5-6 matches and i didn't get any wins, and just when things were getting better, after a few wins and good draws, i get fired :( and after holidaying for over 2 years with end holiday on job offer, while applying for every job going, i gave up a quit lol. 2 Near promotions and 1 poor start leads to no jobs :(
