My first story on the forum, so any feedback would be much appreciated.

The main aim of this is to get Lincoln to the Champions League final. I sense that this will be a long, drawn out, difficult process, but as they are my home town club, I'm prepared to step up to the plate.

Background:
Commonly known as the Imps, Lincoln City were founded in 1884. We play at Sincil Bank, a ground that holds just over 10,000. In more recent history, the club has been in decline, sliding out the Football League in 2011. Arguably our best period of recent history came just before that, under the late Keith Alexander. He took us to the play-offs four times in a row, before leaving for Peterborough. We then made the play-offs the next season as well, a joint football league record for consecutive appearances in the play-offs.

Key Players:
Dan Gray, Colin Larkin, Alan Power, John Nutter

August update to follow!

Pre Season

Friendlies:

Lincoln 1-1 Lincoln Reserves
Lincoln 1 - 3 Portsmouth
Boston United 1 - 0 Lincoln
Lincoln 1-1 Celtic Reserves
Loughborough D 0– 2 Lincoln

Transfers:

The big signing is Joel Porter, who I hope will dominate the scoring charts this season. Salomon Olembe and Eric Addo also add some significant experience to the side, and some good loan signings should help give me some strong foundations to the squad.

Injuries:
Dan Gray is out for 5-6 weeks, so Paul Robson is now set to start the first match of the season.

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARINERS, With love from a Grimsby fan :)

I look forward to beating them in the league ;) Hopefully do a better job than we actually did, that was depressing for me!

Yeah that's true :) Still gutted about the FA Cup though. I keep an interest in Liverpool as well, so I really hope they put 10 past Mansfield, for my amusement at least!
