I am currently playing as Truro and have been promoted to the Blue Square Prem. I have lost almost half my team because every one of them wanted wages that were far too much, I could not offer any player over £400 due to board restrictions, and even my back ups were wanting over 1k with 2k + avoid relegation bonus. I'm having the same problem trying to sign new players, even those with really bad stats want £700-£1.7 with 2-3k avoid relegation bonus, I just can't afford it.

The fans are unhappy because 'I let players go' when in fact they just wouldn't resign for £400 or under even with high morale and praising them all season and their previous contracts were no more than £50-£250 (only one player who was injured all season was that high)

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not really sure what to do now, I am relying on my youth team to get me through the season, but they really are not going to be good enough, and when they want their professional contracts they want too much, I looked at some premier league teams and their players are on less than even my youngsters want.

Anyone has any advise I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers,
Fig.

OMG

Yes i am having this problem.. thought i was alone..

Is it just on FMC? or does it happen in the main version of the game?

Im in second season too and now all my players want a serious amount of cash each. Ive gone from semi pro to professional now but the only thing has happened is players want serious cash. Im in conference north and having this issue!

Ive tried just signing 17yo players, but it doesnt work anymore as they all want over what i can afford. My board wont allow me to offer that kind of money even for a 17yo

I'm playing the main version of the game, glad it's not just me!

Same thing with the 17yo too even my own youth team want insane amounts. Just played the first game of my second season and got 2 injuries and no one to cover, no one will join, going to have to play my terribad youth team players out of position...

this game is a joke. I went crazy this weekend and must have put about 18 hours into the game.. then realised what a disapointment it is. It is all but impossible to create a competitive squad. As the seasons go on, it becomes more and more difficult. Eventually i gave in, played the normal game mode and it seemed better. This classic mode is much more managable now, except for the simple issue with wages in non league clubs skyrocketing so much that you cant buy a player!!

i got promoted to league two in 2 year with FC Halifax using the original squad and youth players i thought it was easy =S

So you are saying that when negotiating their contracts, you had no problem ?

i just sent my scout out to find young players, signed them at like £150 a week then loaned them out and in a few seasons they were great!

just finished my 4th season with Halifax and got promoted to League One =D

I'm currently playing with Dover Athletic and I also got promoted to BSP after I won BSS. My wage budget is 16.4K per week as a result of talks with the board a few times. I have managed to sign quite decent players on free transfers at season start including (George Baldock, Alex Ray-Harvey, Lee Colligan + some loans) and now I also managed to sign Kieron Dyer since he was released from his contract at QPR. Kieron gets £983/week while the rest gets around £500/week.

I do not have that option superspurs18, my 'original squad' wanted more money than I have, even my youth team who are dire stats wise want contracts of over £700 p/w with 1-2k avoid relegation clauses, I can't offer any more than £400 per player. Players who were on £50-£150 p/w now want £700-1k-it's just silly. I have a wage budget of £5.3k I can't get any more money as there is none.

Truro start the game in administration, it would have been better for me I think to have not been promoted. It's put me off playing which is gutting considering the time and effort I put into it.

One of the things I noticed in my Dover game is that you earn a lot of money if you get to meet the big teams. In my first season I got Newcastle in the FA Cup 3. Round with 36.512 spectators at St. James Park. Even though I lost the match 5-1, my bank account boomed with £150k-200k since I think we split the income even.

Still, I haven't experienced the youngsters problem though. Only when I try to sign regens from Scotland, Ireland or Northern Ireland they seem to want an unrealistic paycheck.
