Ive just finished my second season as Newcastle.
First season finished 7th and won europa league
Second season won the league and beaten on pens in europa final

Chelsea have just offered £30 mill (25 over 30 month) for santon

Santon has had few injuries this season which has lead to haidara being favoured but I know santon can be a world class player

thoughts ?????

hes good i would sell him and get luke shaw,Nathaniel Clyne or Mattia De Sciglio all have better potencial then santos

To be honest I wouldn't accept unless they are paying ATLEAST 10 of that upfront, if not 15. 5 upfront isn't really any good to you, because you're going to need replace him. I suppose if you intend on playing Haidara then you only need to get another player for rotation/back-up, then maybe accept it, but not if you want to replace with the same quality.

Santon is way better than haidara as attacking/supporting FB (look at that crossing for example, really good stats).
Also he can improve a lot with the right training.
Dont sell him trust me unless you desperately need that money and u got another top class LB comming.
He is among my top players in my dortmund side and my no1 set piece taker also with plenty of assists and goals from the left side .

I sold santon to PSG at around the same time when I was at Newcastle. I only did it because they offered 30 million up front but still turned out to be a huge mistake, defence constantly leaked goals and cost me vital points in vital games. I wouldn't sell him unless you have a plan for when he goes

So if I read this right... Santon is benched and often injured and you get 30mil pounds for it.
Easy. Sell. Doesn't matter how much they pay upfront. You can always spend that money in the same way again.

couldn't agree more with this. you only need to buy a replacement if Haidara start's a lot

That will most likely fail and you will never get that 30mil again.
Keep in mind.. he is benching the guy. No way you should leave that on your bench.
If you want to content for championships, don't listen to this guy. He is greedy and shows he doesn't know how to build stature or a championship team.

I think the OP is just asking for opinion and not asking someone to demand what him to do something? And talking about stature... There are different ways to build it... I like to build my club around loyalty to players and low wage budget... Has it work? Yes it did... To a great extent in fact. :) Don't tell people how to build/manage a club... They manage it how they want to. He is asking should he sell or keep... Not even asking about how to build a club... TBH if I were him, I wouldn't sell... Sometimes players might suddenly for a part of their career become injuiry prone... It is perfectly normal... It is possible next season he might even be fit for a full season. :) It is a gamble so it is up to you to sell or not to...
