Hi guys! Got a tactic to share. This is a tactic that i've designed to exploit the 'glitches' in FM. It works a treat for me cos at one pt the media even claimed that my team just cannot stop scoring goals...I was managing Man City and won the league with them. Every match my team scores. And best of it, i did nt tap their resources at all.
Ok back to the tactic...I believed all of u have played FM 2009 and the earlier versions of FM as well and of cos, knew there were 2 prominent 'glitches' that SI haven really resolved it...Remember that the match engine made sure that the 'trailing AI' will score late goals to draw or win the match? The famous 'glitch' that some FM forum mates claimed it's a cheat by the AI? Well, that was how i derived at my tactical formation, resembled abit like 4-2-4, but nt really so. I was thinking like if the AI used it effectively, den we human players can do so too.
Well becos the formation looked too attacking, tat's y u can see tat in team instructions i used counter attacking, attack down both flanks, and tight-marking. By attacking down the flanks only, u consolidate ur 2 central midfielders to do the defensive work while the wingbacks will play the supporting role instead. And as i were saying, this tactic exploit the '4-2-4 glitch', i've seen my Man City though trailing by the AI in some matches, late in the game they do find the that equaliser or winning goal. The best result i had was incredibly thrashing Man U 5-1...after claiming in the press conference that "my team will not hold back" a game day earlier...lol
Another glitch that this tactic exploit is the 'corner-kick glitch'. Remember that you always had ur best heading players 'challenge the GK'. I've incorporated that in as well. My Man City's Richard Dunne is the club's 3rd top scorer...Looks like SI haven do anything to this as yet. It's still very easy to score from corners, as long as you gt a half-decent corner taker and a half-decent centre back like Dunne...more often than not it will do the job for you.
Anyways, i haven really tested it on lower league teams yet. And please take note, this tactic may not be very successful if you think you use it on lower league teams trying to get a result with big clubs...One word of advice...use your common sense...
One pt to take note...there is no need for you to change the tactic instructions at all during matches... cos if the AI decide to attack...the likelihood of u scoring on the break is higher. And if the AI decide to defend their lead...it will be facing a firing squad in the shape of ur team...so leave the instructions as it is from the start to the end...
