Welcome to my first story on Football Manager 2014. Atletico Madrid got the most votes on my thread so I decided to manage these guys as I have been watching them closely this season and they have been playing amazing.

I am definitely happy with the squad I have at this club, especially the strength we have in attacking players. David Villa, Arda Turan, Diego Costa and Koke will be playing most games if they are fit.

On loan Goalkeeper Courtois is one of the worlds best young keepers and will do hopefully do a great job in goal for us this season.

The defence is decent enough for this season but I think I will look to bring in another CB and maybe another RB for the next season.

---TRANSFER BUDGET---

A very small transfer budget which was expected as they signed Alderweireld, Villa and Guilavogui.

---THE TACTIC---

I build the tactic around my side. We had decent CDM's so I thought I would add two of them to help the defence. Both my Full backs will be overlapping with my wingers so the CDM's could help out when they advance up the pitch. The front four I have already said will stay the same for most matches ( Costa, Villa, Turan and Koke ).

Thanks for reading my OP and if you guys have any suggestions about players I should sell/sign then feel free to leave them. Thanks.

Check out Oliver in the youth teams as he suppose to be the next big thing in Spain, I heard At Madrid got Villa on the cheap so that Barcelona can have first option on Oliver.

Very nice choice of team mate - on my Real save, they do very well and have a great balanced team which I think is very important and could serve you well. Diego Costa was an absolute beast as the striker! Good luck, I'll keep checking in

As ZeCarlos mentioned i'll be keeping track on some players such as Costa and Koke.

Well I really didn't expect to do this well in my first month in charge. I didn't really know what to expect from Sevilla as they have fallen from the top in the past few years. The game against Barcelona was always going to be tough but we went 1-0 up. They then equalised soon after and then Costa took the ball around the keeper and passed the ball in before Juanfran scored a free kick and his second goal of the game. Rayo was an easy game for us winning 4-0 and then we actually beat Barcelona at the Camp Nou 2-1, they scored 1st with a penalty before Costa equalised. David Villa then scored a penalty against his former club. Sociedad was also another standard win for us as Turan and Koke both scored goals.

We sit nicely in 1st place with the same amount of points as Real Madrid and Celta Vigo.

Another decent month. We had a rocky start to Almeria as we saw ourselves 3-1 down at home but we leveled it up late in the game. Our Champions League Group is Dortmund, Porto and Anderlecht and we started off the group well beating Dortmund 1-0 at home. In the next game we cruised past Valladolid but Osasuna proved a much harder test and took us down to the wire where we eventually won 3-2. And then a very well earned point at the Bernabeu as we held Madrid to a 0-0.

After the first two months we see ourselves sitting comfortably in 3rd position still unbeaten in the league.
