How to make substitution quickly?

So ,how many minutes it takes once you make a substitution to go in until he is actually enter...It seems way too long...Is there any way to make it faster?

Once you confirm a substitution you have to wait until the next stoppage in play that will allow one to take place, just like in real life, you cannot change on the fly.

I tend to make the sub a couple of minutes before I actually want it to happen eg. I Want to bring a player on in 65th minute so i do it on 62nd minute, next stoppage time will be in next few minutes. This ensures the player gets sufficient playing time to show me what he's got/change the game.

That's exactly my problem that it takes few stoppages to make it happen...why is that?Is there any difference between the quick SUB menu or the regular one?

That's is why I put questions...I'm waiting for an ideas to come...And here is an idea...It takes few stoppages since they need time to warm up...And that is why I liked the answer of LDPLFC...
