No matter how much I praise players, they never seem to like me as their favoured personnel.

I know its not the end of the world but surely it would stop them from demanding silly money & insisting on leaving the club.

I have tried giving them the contract they want, praising them up, signing players they are friends with. I have even given one of them the captaincy. Its further annoys me that they suddenly like the international manager just cause he plays them once.

Any other tips on how to get them to like me?

BTW I am in my 3rd season with Brighton after winning the Championship in my first season, came 4th in prem 2nd season & am currently 6th in prem & qualified for knockout stage of champions league.

Since it's your players you're talking about, it's a bit tougher. It's easier getting on the favored personnel of squad rotation/Youth players, by giving them first team chances and praising them. For your main players, I've noticed that any changes in personnel tend to happen at the end of a season. Praising them in press conferences tends to help (which can only happen when they put in good performances). And of course, winning trophies also seems to help in that aspect. Other than that, I'm not too sure.

Usually if you are at a club for a few seasons (mine was about 6), then some players might add you to favoured. It helps if you bring a young player in and show faith in them. I started at Arsenal and after one season I'd sold Walcott for £26.5m and Chamberlain was, alongside Alexis Sanchez, my right winger. He developed and about 5 seasons later, when he was a feature in the England side and my team, I was on his FP. Bringing them through, praising them, and making them a world-class (or at least much better than most at your club) player helps. Being at a top club helps with this because they don't feel that they could have more success elsewhere.

Get a international job in which at least 1 player is based and play them if they haven't before. They will auto add you to their personnel.

I've found that you can get onto a young player's favoured personal fairly easily, especially if you give them a chance on the first team. It can be harder to get onto a more experienced player's favoured personal but winning trophies obviously goes some way to achieving that.

when you make your manager the "previous experience" counts towards this too, same as for team talks. if you set it to international it should be easier. sunday league and they may not respect you so much :p
