Newcastle 3rd Season - Takeover

Hello guys. Im currently managing Newcastle, 3rd season. First season finished 2nd, second season won the title and stopped in quarter finals of UCL.
Now, im in mid-November, doing well in Premier League, as well as maximum point in my UCL Group (Zenit, Porto, Luzern). However, my club has just been taken over, and I now have 70 million euros to spend, as well as 110 million euros payroll budget while my current payroll is somewhere at 75 million euros.

I wanted to ask what players do you recommend I buy, and on what positions, considering the players i already have and play with ( second screen ). Mitrovic has been class, but im not quite sure how well he could help me in winning the UCL. That's what i was aiming for this year. And now, after this cash infusion, I could as well be regarded as a fool if i dont go ahead and win it all. So my question, what players do you recommend I sign in order to achieve my ultimate goal in my 3rd season of my Newcastle career?

For a LW I would suggest Insigne from Napoli: young, quick and can finish as well, good on FM too. Personally I don't think your CBs are of a Europa League winning team never mind Champions League, maybe go for someone like Varane? Or maybe Inigo Martinez? Varane's Madrid and Martinez is Sociedad, hope that helps

Also, my plans were letting Vydra and Hughes on loan and bringing one solid striker and one young, midfielder. Also, i was planning on selling Taylor, so i might get Inigo Martinez. Varane is probably too expensive for Newcastle.

Lorenzo Insigne seems quality, he's at Spurs atm, maybe I can get him.
On Inigo Martinez, his salary would be too big. Besides, my scouts recommend N'Koulou and M'Biwa over him.

With regards to signings, as you play 2 BBMs, Paul Pogba would fit the bill nicely. Leon Goretzka also develops into a world class BBM if trained correctly. Both are two of the best midfielders in the game a few seasons in.


If I were you I think I'd try and get more English players in due to Newcastle not having many (Will Hughes is a great start) - this will help with CL squad registration. Luke Shaw will become one of the best LBs in the game - he's expensive though. Hope this helps!
