Let's get right into it.

SEASON 2013/14 PREVIEW

NEWCASTLE UNITED KEY PLAYERS

Yohan Cabaye

Scouts say he is a leading Premier League midfielder, and I don't disagree looking at his stats. He will be a key player for us this season, and I'm going to try to renew his contract after this season to get him to stay longer or get the maximum amount of money possible if we sell him.

HATEM BEN ARFA

A real fan favorite at St. James' Park and it's easy to see why. Dribbling and flair that is second to none, he will be played in the AMC role of shadow striker and hopefully he'll get a nice amount of goals. His contracts expires in 2015 so I'll be looking to renew that ASAP.

MATHIEU DEBUCHY

Completing this key players section is another Frenchman, Mathieu Debuchy. He is an incredibly well-rounded fullback, and hopefully will be a part of the Toon Army for the years to come.

SEASON EXPECTATIONS

Looking at the squad, I'll be looking to obtain a seventh place finish at the very least. I'll try to push on and get a EURO Cup spot if possible. Cups don't really matter to me, but it'll be nice to win one.

KEY TRANSFERS

EDER ALVAREZ BALANTA
You all know this guy, Eder Alvarez Balanta. Purchased from River for 6.5m he will develop into one of the world's best defenders and will take a starting berth this year from the aging Coloccini.

BRADLEY JOHNSON
Purchased from Norwich for 4.5m, Johnson won't make any headlines. He is however a very important transfer as he will be taking the industrious left defensive winger role and making it his own in the coming seasons.

REMAINING TRANSFERS

The only major player to leave is Tiote. Although he is a tremendous defensive force, his discipline can be an issue and I don't like player who constantly leave for the AFCON. I already have Sissoko, Cabaye, Anita and if need be Johnson for the CM role so he wasn't needed.

That's it for this update, let me know your thoughts. Any improvements I could make or things you liked that should return?

BREAKING - NEWCASTLE MIDFIELDER HATEM BEN ARFA SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION UNTIL 2017
I'm really happy with this as Ben Arfa could go on to become a club legend if his performances match his ability.

Also committing his future to the club is young left back Santon. He could become a really great player in a few years.

MANAGER'S THOUGHTS
An unbeaten month, although we really could've gotten all 9 points in the league. Especially against Norwich when the referee signaled for 3 minutes of added time and van Wolfswinkel scored the equaliser in the 95' minute. Next month we have games against Man City, Aston Villa and Liverpool and my goal is at least 4 points from those 3 games.

MANAGER'S THOUGHTS
An incredible month. The result against City had me dancing up and down, what a result from the boys. I'm delighted that Cisse has hit a good run of goalscoring form. Hopefully we can carry on this unbeaten streak through October where we play Hull, Chelsea and Tottenham. Chelsea and Tottenham could prove tricky fixtures especially considering we play Chelsea in London.

brilliant result against City! and signing Balanta! you can't go wrong! and about the format, maybe add a couple more photo's?
