Sorry all for the slow response in starting this story been a but hectic juggling many game saves (the joys of xmas). So the poll result was a League1 or 2 team and so i opted for a team with a small squad who should be able to hold their own. I should also point out i only saw H4ND OF G0D's story yesterday so my apologies it is similar.

Tranmere Rovers - Introduction

The biggest Merseyside club!

There is not a rich history in terms on trophies for Tranmere however and as seen the club have been in somewhat of a decline but i believe this gives me an ideal starting point as expectations are low at the club.

As i started the game i decided to remove all non essential staff and as such i really will be rebuilding Tranmere from the ground up, including my own signings and all my own staff including my Assistant Manager.

Tranmere Targets:
(Short Term)

- Play possession football
- Secure Promotion to SkyBet Championship
- Build a young squad
- Avoid relegation from SkyBet Championship

(Long Term)
- Win Silverware (Capital One cup or FA cup)
-Reach Premier league
-Pay off club debts
- Beat Liverpool and Everton
-Best Team on Merseyside!

These are not all my aims for the club there are of course others but these are how i feel i will be measured as a manager of Tranmere. I would also like to make some big name signings and reach Europe but these aren't going to be realistic until i have achieved my other aims.

Ultimately a very poor pre season by any standards. However i did use this as a testing ground for some backup and younger players as well as a trial for a settled formation. I felt in the games against Fulham and Northampton the scoreline did not reflect our effort in the game as i was pleased with both performances but ultimately there is work to be done ahead of the new season!

A busy road ahead as a new season dawns!
Preparing for the new season saw the squad go through a change in training difficulty as well as the rebuilding of the squad and backroom staff. This was done in order to try and get the best out of the players quicker and ensure that we hit the ground running when our opening game comes around.

Staff Changes

Adverts were sent out early to ensure better responses closer to the season. So far to this point only a few changes have occurred bringing in members of staff to help with the running of team affairs and somewhat accidentally i have picked a many number of staff who still have very small reputations. I am quite happy with this however as it allows them to grow into the club alongside myself and build their ability in order to prove themselves.

Despite the lack of size to my squad i am happy to have added these three players. All can bring their own spark to the club and i hope they can all play a big part in ensuring a respectable finish this season and perhaps even push us to promotion. I have high hopes for Martin Woods.

Major News

Fon Williams Injured!- Tranmere 1st choice keeper Owain Fon Williams was injured during their Pre-Season campaign leaving Stuart Moore with a big selection headache ahead of the new season. Fon Williams is expected to miss at least a month of action.

Bothroyd to Tranmere?- Former QPR and Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd has been linked with a move to Prenton Park as Moore looks to add to his attacking options in chasing the promotion dream. Bothroyd is now a free agent and appear willing to negotiate however his wage demands could be a stumbling block for the Merseyside club.

Sorry for the lack of updates had a hectic work schedule. Hope to post one tomorrow
