im coming to the end of my 1st season with united my 4 summer signings haven't really done what I thought they ma, fabregas gundogan sniejder walker im 4th and struggling to score goals and conceding, I need a striker that will guarantee me goals and steal at the back, I know united squad is bad on fm anyway but I hate the tactics on this one im paying a 4-4-2 diamond formation now as my wingers have been woeful!! plus 4-2-3-1 leaves me to exposed half the time and can never score with it!! need a way to have wingers but be strong at the back and get lots of goals

I've found FM14 to be quite poor with regards wingers, i've taken to playing 4-3-1-2 and 4-1-2-1-2 seems to work wonders and i'm united to so I sold my wingers (downside is, it restricts you to not using wingers but i haven't found it a problem) Use the funds from players like Nani,Young,Valencia to buy better MC,s although you've got Fabregas.
