is it possible to engineer a takeover using the editor? i support liverpool and im fed up with hicks/gilett, id like to have some better guy take over the club.
so far ive created the head of DIC and the guy from Kuwait, made them friends of my chairman, support my club and have high ambition and determination (as well as lots of money :D) and ive made the americans really unpopular with the fans.
even with all of this, i always get taken over by another member of the board who then refuses to invest further in the club, once they even put more debts on me and took away my transfer kitty left by the americans (all 10mil of it)

is there a way to make sure the right guys take over?
 
Not sure but you do find out I would like to know. But I don't think you can if it hasn't happened after all that.
 
i am pretty sure i can help. first you go on the official fm 2009 data editor and search liverpool and go on it. go to the staff and players tab and then the board tab. there you can change who is chairman and who is on the board so if you make this arabian guy the chairman he should be the owner.

The only way to change the owner is to use the Data Editor, and change the chairman. And this will not take effect unless you start a new game.
 
ano it wud be gd i got taken over n they didnt give me any money. they said they wudnt be invesetin in the club at this time
 
thanks, ill probably just start again with a different board. i would have prefered to have them sell in game though, as it would make it a bit more interesting, and you get a better first transfer budget when someone takes over than if they are already the chairman
 
make the man city chairman your teams chairman in the editor... he has tons of money!
 
i made the DIC guy the chairman, and he gave me 230mil to use in the first season :)
so ive got an amazing squad now
 
I used the standard editor which comes with the game, and started a new one.

I then made it so the club had no chairman and they were board members and after a while they took over from some computer generated guy who suddenly appeared. And then i got loads of money :)
