Editing a player as a free agent

Can someone help me, I have just changed two players from there clubs to none on editor, but when I go into the actual game I can't find them in the search?? What have I done wrong?

If you are looking to just get them on a free, why don't you just move them to your team?

That happens 'cause the rep of those players, you could change their contract and set the finish date just after you start your save.

It's not cos of rep as lower rep players are in, but that's a good idea will give that a go cheers
