Help on keeping a player who wants to move to a bigger club

Right so i have marek hamsik who has bin quality for me since his 1st match for me, im approaching the january transfer window, and he wants to leave for a bigger club but i really dont want to let him go. does anyone know how to keep him sweet? I kept robinho against his will and hes bin unhappy since august and has only put in a few decent performances all season. i dont want hamsik going down that road!

ask the players to recommend a signing. and try to sign this person. it can sometimes work.

In my Arsenal save, Bacary Sagna was unhappy about me not letting him discuss terms with Inter Milan, so I put him on the transfer list asking for $30million, instead of being happy that I'm letting him move clubs, he became more unhappy because "Feels the manager doesn't appreciate his contribution to the team."

Just keep winning and they will be just fine. If you must, ship them out on loan for a season. By the time they come back, their problems may be cured. Or your reputation might have increased
