In this years FM as you can see most successfull tactics has OI and Man Marking. You can select OI before starting a match but its hard to choose every match so how can you put OI for all matches and how does it work coz in every match the other team can go with different tactics? Same for Man Marking too. Hope a helpfull friend help me on theese.

Sorry for my English and Thank you very much for your answers.

I do it with ppm, that usually over-ride everything.

And rigid to very rigid +/- Stick to positions.

You can save your man marking instructions previously to the match at the Player Instructions tab: right below the PI Mark Tighter, you have a option to specify the opponent player.

Note: most successful tactics do NOT use specific man marking, neither it would make sense to have success in FM with man-marking tactics since in real football any team has abandoned such option. Either you do NOT need OI if you already use TI or PI.

I watch the matches on Comprehensive view and setting the Opposition Instructions is part of my pre-match ritual. Using the SHIFT KEY, I select all of the opposition's midfielders and forwards at once and set the following instructions for dealing with them:

Closing Down: ALWAYS
Tackling: NORMAL
Show Onto: WEAKER FOOT

Occasionally I will select HARD tackling if I know the other team is particularly strong in midfield, or switch to HARD tackling during a match if we are losing the midfield battle or being kicked all over the park.

I only use specific man-marking when playing defensive tactics to protect a lead late in a game. I've found the best way to deal with a strong opposition attack - and particularly a creative No.10 - is to crowd them out by playing formations like 4-2DM-1-2-1 with 2 x Defensive Midfielders or 5-3-2 with a Regista and genuine wing-backs in the DM line. Obviously a quality goalkeeper and defenders are also necessary to make this work.
