  1. Yeah... Harvard and such
  2. Sorry mate, got another question. I noticed for some of the Uni's, you can only choose your concentration/major after your freshman or sophmore year? So what do you spend your freshman year doing?
  3. Haha thanks for all your help buddy, really appreciate it ... Only wish the rest of the uni websites were as clear as the UCL and LSE ones
  4. What courses are you doing at KCL though mate?
  5. Nah mate. They require you to take SATs or ACT no matter what other exams you are already taking, be it A levels or IB. Bit of a burden but the syllabus for A levels and SATS are largely similar for Maths and chem so hopefully it won't be too much of a bother to study for both simultaneously. To be fair, I have no idea why we study economics at a levels considering we don't have to achieve any Pre-requisite grade in it to go to any course in Uni, even B.S in economics lol, and they will probably teach us the same thing again in our freshman year. Noticed that LSE offers a degree in accounting and finance though which looks interesting, is that as good a degree as a B.S/B.A in economics?
  6. Haha yeah, although it's always good having a few extra curricular activities. I am just worried I might overdo it which in turn would affect my grades so balance is really key. The way things are going, my life next year looks set to be extremely busy. A levels + gonna sign up for a few more extra curricular activites in addition to rowing which I am currently in. Kind of wish I had given some thought to all this Uni business a little sooner but I guess better late than never.

I was wondering though mate, for American Uni's where they require you to take and submit your SAT scores. Let's say I do brilliantly for my SATs but not quite as good for my A levels. Any idea how that will pan out?
  7. Also wondering mate, to get into the likes of LSE and Oxford, how much do co-curricular activities count? Hypothetically speaking, if I manage to get too grades (straight A's) but don't have too much in the way of co-curricular activities, will it be impossible for me to get into one of those schools?
  8. Thanks buddy, much appreciated ... I looked up the courses on LSE and a couple sound very interesting although I noticed they require you to get top marks for mathematics so I definitely need to start getting my head down and working hard for that. Btw any idea what's the difference between a bachelor of science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts in economics? I just noticed wharton offers a B.S whereas LSE offers a B.A
  9. Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry. Might do Accounting as well if things go smoothly next year
  10. Shitty part is that as soon as I complete my A's, I still have to do National Service here in Singapore. Basically serve in the army for the better part of two years so I not due to go to Uni until 2016-17 but still have to start making some definite decisions now if I want to end up somewhere decent
