Installing patches with digital download of FM2010

Hi. I bought and downloaded FM2010 from GamersGate.co.uk yesterday. Once installed and running, I noticed there was a patch released for the game.

I downloaded the patch and installed, and now my digitally downloaded version of FM2010 asks me to insert a CD when starting the game up. lol.

Is there a way to have the patch without this problem? Obviously I don't have a CD and at the moment all I can see is that I'll have to re-install my original downloaded files, unpatched. :-(

Will I ever be able to patch with a digital download of FM2010???

Any advice anyone?

did you install through steam? cos i didnt but everything worked fine

Erm... not sure to be honest. The patch was a Winzip self-extracting thing.

The game was installed by GamersGate own little program.

lol, sorry cant help, apparently, we installed through different ways. used to installed through steam until i got really ******

Sounds to me like your a cheap **** who illegally downloaded the game. Buy the game or contact your supplier like anyone else if you did not.
