Alright lads, and ladies!

I've recently started FM2010 and I decided to give it a shot as Stockport, fairly local team to where I am so why not!
I started off my season with a pretty bad team overall, tipped for relegation with a big lack of defensive players and strikers who weren't all that good to put it in a nice way!

In my first few games I was going through basic 4-4-2 & 4-4-2 tactics but I was always at the disadvantage to the other teams in the league so I decided to try a 4-1-2-2-1 playing a pretty central tactic with no wide players and I was getting 'results' although it was more of a 1-0 90th minute win or 1-1 draw, 0-0 draw so I had to change it up, my lone striker was having no input on the game and my defence was being battered for 90 minutes every game.

TLDR:

I've now changed to a 4-2-2-2 setup, counter attacking start, 10-20 minutes into the game I put on Retain Possesion and i've been winning games 2-0 to 4-1, I usually switch to contain when I get a steady 2/3-0 lead or if they claw 1 back at 2-0 to 2-1 I will change to contain and add Pump the ball into the box.
I'm in the final of the Paint trophy and i'm 3rd in the league so I feel so far for Stockport, that isn't bad. I've added pictures of my squad, league pos, transfers and my club affilates (I managed to get Man Utd as a parent club and Hyde as my feeder to send my reserves too after making a request on the board).

Give it a go, tell me what you think/achieved with it.
