Unfortunately my other saints story is unable to continue due to my saved game being corrupted and unable to open so I will start a fresh again (the story underneath is the same start as the one as I liked the way it went however the rest will be different). Sorry for any problems or trouble this has caused anyone. I have a large database with leagues England, Scotland, Holland, Italy, France, Spain and Germany loaded but with only England playable.

"SAINTS SACK PARDEW TO HIRE ROOKIE!"
In a sensational move club owner Markus Liebherr has sacked Alan Pardew after only a few weeks in charge and has installed rookie and life long Saints fan Todd Stockley as his replacements.

When questioned about his shocking decision Mr. Liebherr had this to say.....
Well I received a phone call from former chairmen Mr. Lowe and he said that I should hire someone cheaper cause that way the club can make more money, the football can sort itself out he said. I just couldn't reject the opportunity to earn some more dosh...

So there you have it, installed as Saints manager.....a dream come true to say the least. I didn't have any doubts in my mind when Markus picked up the phone and gave me a call offering me a one year deal that this is what I wanted. During contract talks he stated that I would around £1.5m in transfer money to spend and about £10k left on the current transfer budget and his goal for me was to try and reach the playoffs. £1.5m was a lot of money to have in League one but I won't be spending it ***** nilly and will take careful consideration into who I purchase. I already had a a great team to start with as the likes of RICKIE LAMBERT, MORGAN SCHNEIDERLIN & KELVIN DAVIS would quite easily get into teams in the championship, let alone league one. My goals are slightly different from my chairmans, I just want to eliminate the 10 point deduction first then see how things go from there. I already have my eyes on a few players so I will see how things turn out on that front.

Coming Up Pre Season.....

Good luck mate, i got them into the playoffs in my first season but got beat then i got sacked half way through my second season, so hope you do better than me.

Transfer Update
IN-
DIMITRIS MAVROGENIDIS - FREE - D/WBR,DM/MRC
A very versatile experienced Greek wing back was a great coup. With 24 caps under his belt he was released from greek side Thrasyvoulous at the end of the season and he will be starting off as my number one right back. Signed on a two year deal.

RITCHIE DE LAET - SEASON LOAN (from Man Utd) - DRLC
Young centre half who can also play RB and LB. Initially on loan, I would like to sign him permanently if the chance came along. Has decent potential.

GAVIN HOYTE - SEASON LOAN (from Arsenal) - DRC
19 year old centre half, who has league experience with Watford, will battle with Jaidi for the slot next to De Laet at the heart of defense.

OUT-
Simon Gillett - Bid accepted from Coventry, waiting on contract negotiations.

FAILED-
Mohammed Baraket - Work Permit turned down. Cursing this one as he would of been perfect for what we needed.
Rogier Veenstra - Winger declined move. Said that a move to England at the moment wouldn't benefit him.

Injury Update
Lloyd James - Suffed thigh strain - out for two weeks but now back in full training
Kayne Mclaggon - Long term injury - not expected back till November.

Other news
In other small news we've signed Phillipe Christanval and Peter Hoekstra as scouts and sent them to France and Scotland in search of talent.

Pre Season Review
Barring two convincing and harrowing defeats we had a pretty good pre season. I started out with a 4-4-2 system and after the Aston Villa game I had to change something as we were completely outplayed and embarrassed. So I created a 4-2-3-1 formation which enabled us to play more freely but solidly. And as you can see results improved. I brought in two centre halfs on loan which is something I quickly saw we required as our current crop wasn't upto the way I wanted to play the game. All in all the squad seems excited and ready which is a good sign as I think we have a long season ahead of us...

Next up: August and the start of the season.....

Try and sign santiago ezquerro he's available for free, him and saganowski had a graet partnership upfront for me.

Thanks for tip daniel_kg. I'm currently using a system with one up top and santiago ezquerro isn't the sort of striker I'm looking for the spear head it.

AUGUST 2009

Transfer Update
IN-
DANNY ROSE - SEASON LOAN (from Spurs) - AML
Raw and exciting talent who will cause league one defenders no end of trouble. Ideal competition for recovering Lee Holmes

DAVID BOYSEN - £500K (from AB) - AM/FC
Young striker who has bags of energy and potential. Hopefully will flourish into the striker I expect him to in a few seasons. But for now, a very capable squad player

BRYAN HUGHES - £300K (from Hull) - MRLC
Experienced but gifted CM who still has plenty of quality and good things to offer the team. League one is well below his standard.

OUT-
Simon Gillett -£150K to Coventry - Surplus to requirements
Joseph Mills - £825K to Coventry - Wanted to keep him but this offer was to good to turn down

Injury Update
Dan Harding - Suffered Bruised ribs - Missed Stockport game but will be back for the next game
Kayne Mclaggon - Long term injury and is due back in November.

AUGUST 2009 REVIEW
All in all a great start to the campaign. Some great overall performances (against Millwall in particular) topped off with getting out of the drop zone and eliminating the 10 point deduction. The only two parts that stopped it from being a perfect month for me was the disappointing performance (not outcome) against Sunderland and the lack of goals from our front Lambert and Saganowski. Hopeful next month they will stick away some of the chances they missed.

Coming Up: Will saints have a super september....

Shame you sold mills he's pretty good in the 2nd season, try and keep lallana, the board sold him on mine for 1.8 million.

QUICK TRANSFER UPDATE

We have signed former AJ Auxerre winger and front man MOUSSA N'DIAYE on a free transfer . For nothing he is a great signing and will place even further competition to our wingers who have been a little lack luster recently. Below is a screenshot of Moussa

September/October 2009
Due to a quiet fixture list in september I combined the two months. September was an amazing month with 4 wins in 4. Including a brilliant 4-1 away win against Charlton. I previously asked for my strikers to start producing and Lambert certainly obliged with 5 goals including a sublime hat trick against Colchester. But the goals dried up for him afterwards. We beat Exeter with a back up team in the JPT but then went on a poor mini run with losing 2 out of the next 3 against weaker opposition. I tried to keep the morale as high as possible and it paid off with a last minute Hammond goal against MK to give us a big lift. Lallana had a terrific couple of months winning the young player of the month twice in a row and scoring 5 goals. Danny Rose will not be extending his loan spell and will be leaving us very shortly. A replacement will need to be found. But believe me I'm very happy with league position and I'm confident of making a push for winning the league...

Coming up: November and December....will there be holiday cheers or blues for the saints.

Good luck... A good start.

TRANSFER UPDATE
DANNY ROSE's loan has expired but I quickly brought in GARY TEALE on an initial 3 month loan to replace him. ROSE was a brilliant player and he will be missed out of my side. I highly recommend him to any championship or league one side. He finished with 7 assists in 11 league appearances. I hope Gary can turn out to be a decent replacement.
