In my Liverpool save Daniel Sturridge was absolutely amazing in my first season, was never injured and then from my second season onwards (now in my fourth) he is constantly injured and barely plays 3 games in a row without getting injured.

I've tried updating all my fitness coaches so that they all have 20 rating for fitness and making Sturridge train that specific attribute....

I've tried updating my Physios so that they all have 20 rating for Physiotherapy and Man Management.....

None seem to work with him but seems to work with other players, i've also signed Sergio Ageuro and he has the same problem but is worse and i'm now P/X Ageuro for Carlos Fierro.

Is there any other methods people have tried to stop them being Injury Prone?

I have the same problem with Connor Wickham.. In my 5th season, he gets injured every game after injury without fail. I have given up and he is up for sale.

The opposite with me, Sturridge only managed 15 league games in my first season but in the 2 following he has managed 29 and 32. I didn't change anything specific in his individual training or the team training in general to do anything about it, so I guess it just comes down to luck? All my coaches and everything were already in place during the first season when he was always injured. He does still get the odd little one here and there, but usually it's only for a couple of weeks.

Have a feeling this post is going to jinx him, laptop is going out the window if so.

You can only do so much with injury-prone players. Play him only when he is at peak condition - 96% and above. Devise a lighter training for him so that he doesn't over-exert himself there. Substitute him in matches where his condition is going down to danger levels - 70 and below.

But other than that, you really can't do much else.

  • What is your team training put on?
They should be very injury prone also I think, but yet I have never played with them.

I try to balance my team training out evenly over the course of a season so it varies from week to week.

Thank you will watch that alot more closely then and give it ago.

Agreed. Sturridge is absolutely world class when healthy. But he can't influence games when he is out with his injury for the season. I wish there was a way to untrain injury prone trait. LOL. What I did was develop a 3rd striker. And when that striker became ready (after about 2 seasons) to take over 1st team duties, I sold on Sturridge for around 55m pounds plus a sell on clause. :) Profit!

The game takes injury prone to an absurd level. They are perennially injured or lacking match fitness. Even on the rare occasions when they do play for you, they will find a way to get hurt before halftime, forcing you to burn a substitution. They just aren't ownable. The only way to change it is to use an editor or to not sign them in the first place.

I have the opposite problem! There aren't alot of injuries in my saves so far. I play the same team each week for 60+ games per season flawlessly. This means that I struggle to manage the squad. It ia very easy to manage an injury prone player. If your *** man tells you that he can't continue, sub him. If he continues with a knock, then substitute if it doesn't disappear in 30 min. If the player recieves a knock and his condition doesn't rise any close to where is was before then substitute. If condition lowers below 70 for an injury prone lad: SUBSTITUTE.

Your advice is the best strategy to take, but it still does not matter with a highly injury prone player. Unless you just stop trying to play him altogether, he will average 5 injuries per season, regardless of how much you baby him in training or matches. You just can't get them back to full match fitness once they get injured the first time. It's too severe. There needs to be less differential between durable and injury prone players.
