I decided to have a go with a club which is predicted to go down for relegation and I chose Burnley. I'm no tactical genius...at least not yet, but I believe that I can take them to the top of the world.

Like I always do (in my previous saves), I play with the formation in the team of the season. For example, in Serie A, it's a narrow 4-3-3 DM, and in Spain it's a 4-4-2. So, I'll be playing with a 4-4-2 which I created by myself.

I had a pretty good preseason, winning all 4 games with some great performances.
FC Midtjylland 3-0 (H)
Neustrelitz 5-2 (A)
Wormatia Worms 1-0 (A)
Stuttgatter K. 4-3 (A)

I had a bit of a scare in the last game. I was 3-1 down at HT and I was very pleased when the game ended 4-3. Hopefully, we can take the good form into the season.

Burnley 4-1 Everton
An excllent all-round performance from my team; was leading 4-0 until I conceded in the dying minutes of the game due to a lapse in concentration of my CBs.

In a game I was expected to lose, I played pretty well and created a lot of chances but Cech stood tall all game. The finishing was poor throughout the game

Another good performance, this time against a lower-league opposition where we played well and had a lot of the ball. We concede from 2 freekicks so I'll be looking into the setpiece defending

My defense played poorly but Tom Heaton (my GK) had a pretty good game. I conceded the goal first but my team fought back and won, thanks to a quick counter attack, lead by my 2 strikers

I'm targeting at least 4 points out the 9 in September. The game against Crystal Palace is a must-win and hopefully I can get a draw or even win away to Leicester. I hope I dont get any injuries before the Man Utd game and hopefully, I can come away with less than 3 goals

There were no more transfers IN nor OUT. So I'm trying to make the most of the players at my disposal and hopefully, remain in the top half so my board can give me more money for transfers come January.

An excellent first half performance had me go in with a 2-goal advantage at HT but eventually, complacency had its way in the 2nd half as they equalized but we hit back immediately and locked the defense.

I decided to create a control-based tactic to use in home games and it worked a threat on its first run-out.

Again, complacency stopped me from keeping my first clean sheet of the season. I already had a 3 goal advantage but another lapse in concentration of my CBs allowed Diouf to score into an open net.

Manchester United 2-0 Burnley
The news headline after the game read "POOR FINISHING COSTS BURNLEY DEAR IN 2-0 DEFEAT". My finishing was poor throughout the game; but we were lucky to leave with just a 2-goal deficit as we were carved open by Mata times without number.

My best performance to date but once again, complacency kept me from keeping a clean sheet. I'll be looking to bring in a mentally strong player (hopefully a CB) to help with that. We dominated the game from start and looked very solid defensively

Looking at the league table, I believe I can get at least 7 point this month and see where that will take me as I'm currently above them in the league standings...but it's always going to be tough at Anfield, but who knows, I can cause a major upset.

To say that this month was a disaster would be an understatement. I think my players became overconfident because of our position on the league table and I was undone in November, losing 3 out of 4 games.

I was constantly tormented by Rickie Lambert's strength as he easily bulldozed his way through my defense at will but my team's performance was the worst I ever saw

I was hoping for an immediate reaction after the rout at Anfield and my team did just that. I was especially delighted by the clean sheet against a team who never looked to attack.

For the second time in 3 games, my team looked toothless as we were outclassed from start to finish. We never seemed to get into the game and I handed out a lot of fines after the game.

Once again, we started poorly as we were 2-0 down by HT. I responded aggressively during the pep talk and I got the reaction I wanted. BUT, we lost concentration in the dying seconds of the game and conceded what turned out to be the winning goal for the home team.

2) 1st game without scoring
3) Lowest points tally in one month

Hopefully, next month will be better.

I made a request to the board but they refused to give me any money to sign players even though they have about 16m pounds as balance so It's unlikely that I will sign anybody.
