Football Manager 2010 Patch 10.2.0 Out Now!

Would I be able to continue my journeyman career save without any problems after updating? I'm only halfway through the first season in Argentina but it's going too well to give up! But any thoughts would be appreciated, I've not really been posed with this dilemma regarding patching mid-save before.

CrizzyD, you will. And Steam has automatically downloaded it for me but it comes up with a message saying... 'unable to find essential data' could someone please help?
 
I auto update my stream, then i start my FM, it come up with those advertisement as usual, but after that, it is a black screen, it will never go to the main meun, anyone have the same problem? how to solve it? many thanks!
 
Got this. Some changes like D and A next to the players on the tactic screen and something on the start up.
 
Any1 care to explain what that means please ???
 
i have had that on every patch and i found that if you copy a fm.exe on to thew desktop, update that and then drag the files back into the program files folder it works
 
Alright cheers mate, I'll carry on in Argentina then. Going to go watch the match, hopefully when I check the new patch later I find vermaelen's attributes are boosted.
 
Yes it is... No fears tho.. I restarted my pc.. changed my firewall to gamermode.. and it worked... Job Done.. Time to try it out :D
 
Sorry for being a little stupid here.. but idk why i totally forgot..

When you create a new game on the new patch but using an old editor data file, Will the changes take place?

How about continuing playing the 'old' game files. Will the changes take effect or it only occurs when new game is played??

I couldn't open my 10.1.0 games after I updated (my luck I think).

As for 1st question you can select old editor data I think when starting new game :).
 
I hope to god if I download this, I don't have issues with loading/starting the game up like the previous patch ....
 
this is gonna sound noobish but...what do I do with the file once it's done downloading? (A)

You open it and then just unpack it, you don't have to do anything with it really, and when it's done just open FM and it's done
 
mine downloaded through steam automatically and seems to work fine but my genie scout isnt compatible, is there any way i can change back or do i need to wait for an updated version of genie scout ( btw i know its sorta cheating but it helps with little known teams) HELP
 
I use steam and it auto updated but now when i start up the game the loading screen goes black and says not responding for a while then when the main menu comes up the text is there but no background and games wont load up properly. Can anyone shed any light on whats going on?
