I have created a tactic based on Pochettino's Southampton, i've tested it with newcastle and currently top of the league.

I used these articles to help me create this tactic:

How Mauricio Pochettino will change Spurs | blog | Spurs Fanatic

How Mauricio Pochettino will change Spurs: Goalkeepers | blog | Spurs Fanatic

How Mauricio Pochettino will change Spurs: Defence | blog | Spurs Fanatic

How Mauricio Pochettino will change Spurs: Midfield | blog | Spurs Fanatic

How Mauricio Pochettino will change Spurs: Forwards | blog | Spurs Fanatic

In essence i wanted to base the roles of this tactic around these players in the 13/14 season:
Boruc
Clyne-Fonte-Lovren-Shaw
Schneiderlin-Cork
Ward-Prowse-Lallana-Rodriguez
Lambert

Would appreciate testers, and also help me improve the tactic in terms of replicating the aggressive pressing/overloading, the vertical passes (air/ground long passes from back to front e.g. Rodriguez used to score a lot by getting in behind the defence) how i can improve the player roles in terms of recreating Lambert/Lallana/Rodriguez roles.

The tactic:

For OI i get my assistant to do it.

Finally, for pre season: i used balance/very high, 50% match tactics, during season: Balanced/high 40% attacking movement/defence positioning (depending on opposition)

And i individually trained players to roles of tactic.

PPM's that could improve tactic:
DLP/D: Come deep to receive ball
RMD/A: Beat offside trap more often

NEW UPDATE (MINOR TWEAKS TO IMPROVE PRESSING) PLEASE USE THIS TACTIC:

Was looking for pochettino tactic for quite a while. Will test it with QPR. Are you sure 2 BPD with cover duties is a good idea?

It has worked well for me so far, their instructions are also to close down more. The reasoning behind this is that from my research about Pochettino's Southampton it shows that the two full backs push very high up the pitch, and therefor centre backs must cover them and go out to the flanks if the opponents are in possession there.

Can you also provide some screenshots, with the formation and results/statistics ?

It would be good to know what is the actual style of play that the tactic achieves in the field.

yeah sure will do later mate, this is only a tactic that's been tried out for like 14/15 games (done well in them) and probably needs a lot of improving but I was sort of looking for people to test this and help me make it more like the real Pochettino tactic

Will you create the 433 formation too? I just finished reading the links you provided and would love to have all variations of Pochettino tactic. I am currently playing with my QPR against Sevilla at currently leading 2 - 0 at half time. 55% possession, 82% passes completed and 1 CCC. This is my first match using them and the formation not fluid yet. But it is promising

Just would like to give my input here, for AMR, I think the role is Advance Playmaker with attack or support duties based on who he play there.

I´m getting very good results with Villarreal.
I´ve played 14 matches since October.
Won 11 drew 1 lost 2
Goals scored 62 (4.4 per game!) goals conceded 16 (1.1)
After the two losses i switched the match preparation to Def.Positioning and won everything after that point but a draw at Bayern.
My only concern is that sometimes my defenders suffer from through balls, frequently when i´m already two or three goals up. I wonder if there´s something that i can do to minimize this. By the way, the attacking flow is beautiful.
I´m interested in what kind of players are you using. I write from Spain and i´m not very familiar with Southampton players.

I did try that mate on a previous save however there just wasn't any attacking intent, Ward-Prowse/Davis would make a midfield 4, but would also provide a cross.

Good to hear its working, but is there a lot of intense pressing? Vertical passes?

Yes. The attack is awesome and is based on vertical and fast passes. Plenty of first touches. I have a AML whose first touch is 18 and likes to try first time shots and is killing it. Rotariu, i think he´s well known. I have Sergi Roberto as AMC and i asume that a better one would make the tactic even more effective.

Decent mate keep it up. Hopefully I can improve this tactic further to make it more realistic

This tactic is awesome! Beautiful attacking play, the defense it's a bit leaky so I changed a few PI's to suit my squad... really enjoying! Keep it up, you're going the right way!

What have you changed? i´m interested on making it tighter at the back

I added agressive tackling to TI, tight marking to PI of the front 4 and changed the goalie to sweeper on defend, without permission to make through balls 'cause is really weak and i've been leaking goals as **** 'cause of him. Like i said, only changed to suit my squad

Do you use those opposition instructions e.g. instruct players to close down defenders & GK and apply assistant manager's advice? What's the pressing like?

What general/match training did you use for pre season and during season?

I think the role is Advance Playmaker with attack
