I wondered if anyone has had this with their teams on the game, i thought i would wait until the last patch came out to see if there was a change but their is not.
Short overview, my team of St Johnstone is the team i support , general yo-yo team but like to be considered a mid table top flight side, have had a very strong few seasons of over achievement finishing top 6 and winning a first ever major trophy. however this summer, sold their best player in stevie may, and only signed some general dross.
the lowest initial expectation to choose is euro cup qualification, which is usually 3rd or above and to reach both cup finals ( considering until last season we held the record for most scottish cup semi finals played without ever having won it) and the last cup final being 1998/99ish this seems a bit steep.
Come 30 games in, i am 6th 4 points off 2nd , lost in the league cup on penalties to hearts, and in the scottish cup quarter finals with a replay against hearts and a semi against bottom team hamilton so a cup final looks on, and 6 out of my 7 midfield is injured, i get hauled in for a meeting about a 3-1 loss to motherwell having had 5 injuries in the match, i suggest injuries are not that bad, and get told to attain 11 points from the next 5 games ( away to celtic aberdeen dundee utd, and home to inverness and dundee) - obviously i lose to celtic so must win the final 4.
considering our chairman and predecessor are famed for financial prudence and not firing managers , it is entirely unrealistic that a manager of the saints would be sacked in this situation,
has anyone else had the game a bit ruined by being unable to really enjoy a game with their supported team due to ridiculous expectations which usually mean a first season sacking unless you manically over achieve?
