Civelli signs pen to paper involving a 2-year deal with the Blucerchiati.

The new manager made it clear that Cassano, Pazzini, Poli and Palombo are the clubs future and the club isn't willing to sell any of their starlets. Civelli added that it would take huge offers to convince the management into selling any of their key stars.

The board along with Civelli determined that Sampdoria will be aiming for a Continental Qualification since the club didn't make it to any European competitions this season.

With the aim of a place in Europe, Civelli was given a €7 million budget.
Civelli analyzed the situation and determined that he has to buy a Central Defender, Left Wing and Central Midfielder in order for the club to achieve their goals.

Antonio Cassano was pinpointed as the team's most Promising player.
With numerous clubs closely monitoring the man from Bari, Civelli set a €40 million release clause in order for the big clubs to think twice into offering ridiculous fees.

Civelli dug deep in the transfer market and made various offers such as for Marco Verratti, Radji Nainggolan and Gianmarco Zigoni.

Moments after the match against Sampdoria Reserves, to the surprise of fans and pundits alike, Kyle Civelli signed Piacenza's Radji Nainggolan for a transfer around €3.5 million in order to further improve his midfield. The fee included monthly installments and therefore Sampdoria still have a major chunk of their budget.

The fans were clearly excited about this prospect.

Also just a few days after the Nainggolan transfer, Civelli made his prospects clear.
Civelli followed with the capture of Marco Verratti on a €350k payout to Triestina.

In the meantime the Sampdoria management felt that Nicola Pozzi, Emanuele Bardelloni and Mohammed Rabiu weren't up to standard and their respective loans were terminated with immediate effect.

Nonetheless, Civelli was still on the hunt for some players on loan with various offers being made.
The first capture on loan was Juventus' very own Fausto Rossi which Civelli signed until the end of the season.

I was satisfied with the amount of chances we created and I was also satisfied with Poli's performance.
Also Fiorillo's clean-sheet was another good notification.

Quite happy with the chances created, but clearly disappointed with the finishing.
Pazzini and Cassano should have really done better.
On the other hand, quite happy about Verratti debut as he scored a scorcher of a freekick!

Civelli captured rivals-Udinese's left back Lukovic on a deal of around €1.6 million.
The fans were clearly happy over capturing a great asset of a rival team whilst the Udinese fans were clearly disappointed by the transfer.

Meanwhile, Inter's Rene Khrin also signed for the Blucerchiati whom now has completed there midfield transfers and are only discussing deals for players at the back.

Also Khrin's signing may seem extra, the youngster give a good squad depth and could be a useful signing on the whole run.

Sampdoria wrapped up two other importants deals in the likes of Obolo and Ansaldi.
The latter was linked to major clubs like AC Milan and also refused an offer from Atalanta to join the Blucerchiati.

Another signing worth mentioning was the starlet of Fiorentina, goalkeeper Seculin whom Sampdoria wrapped up in a co-ownership deal.

In the end Sampdoria are organizing the Blucerchiati Cup in which AC Milan, Napoli and Monza have been invited to play in the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. After the draw of this Cup was announced Sampdoria face Napoli while Milan face Monza!

Good display from the lads today.
Lacked a bit of possession though, but a lot of chances created.
Lucchini was class today. Rock solid at the back and also lethal in front of goal.

Clearly disappointed by the result.
It was a well-contested match and I believe a draw was more appropriate, but unfortunately Lukovic scored an own goal and Bari held on to it.
However this is our first loss and it's only pre-season so not much to worry about as I'm still trying to get the best out my players.
Pazzini should be doing much better and he isn't scoring a lot but we'll see how I'll get the best of him.
On second thoughts, I changed the formation to either a 4-4-2 diamond or a 4-4-1-1 as Cassano plays better as a trequartista rather than a second striker.

FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED :)
