Hi, I am here to seek some advice on Football Manager in general, I have had some good saves in the past, but I can't seem to get past the problem of rage quitting. For example, I have just been playing my BVB save, as I do one at some point every year, and, after an average pre-season, I lost the first 3 games of the season, two to newly promoted sides and one to Bayern. Now, I can understand the Bayern result, I'm not completely inconsiderate! But the problem is, by the time I lost to Koln 2-0, I just was so annoyed that I found myself shutting down FM and writing this post! So, the questions I want to ask are:

Is there a way to overcome this rage quitting habit (apart from to stop being a spoilt brat)

And could you recommend a team that's nice to start a fresh with?

Thank you

Look at BVB in real life. That would be my best advice ;)

But really, I was like you. Cannot stand losing, even when I was winning nearly every time I still hated it when I lost. It takes time and mental strength/patience to accept that it is just a game and you cannot win EVERY match you play.
The good thing is, if you keep losing, you can still improve and find ways at getting better. The biggest problem is when you're winning every game and thats when the games sucks as its too easy (FM12/13 got a bit like that)

I would recommend a team that are a midtable side. You're expected to lose a lot of games but there's a good chance you can challenge for the league if you do well.

GOOD LUCK! :)

To overcome rage quitting, rather than shut down FM just walk away from the laptop go make a coffee/tea/beer sit chill for 5 mins, drink said drink then go back to the result look at stats/incidents and calmly work out where it went wrong. Easier said than done I know.

Just be careful if beer is your drink of choice, otherwise you'll end up drunk as much as me!

FM has turned me into an alcoholic! Or did alcohol turn me into an FMaholic? I dont know any more. :S

i actually perfer losing kinda because it offers me a challenge to try turn it around. when i win every game i kinda get bored of the save.

Losing is ok, I only rage quit for game breaking bugs. Which happens a lot.

I used to do this a lot. Sit back, try and understand what went wrong in the game, and accept that you will lose games, even ones that you dominate/against weaker opponents. If you're at a loss with what to do, either rant on here or ask for help on here, lots of helpful people.
